Chapter 7: Temptation

The young man sat up and stared at him. He could sense that he was suppressing his anger and whispered, "What are you doing?"

"Can't you hear? Those guys outside are plotting to eat me!"

The boy was exceptionally cold and ruthless: "Go back to sleep."

Fan Zhiyi wrapped himself in the quilt and hugged the bed rails, trying to merge with the bed: "I won't."

"Go back." The boy gritted his teeth.

Fan Zhiyi shook his head sincerely.

"Hehehe, he's awake, he's awake!"

When Fan Zhiyi heard the commotion outside again, he lost all his patience.

Perhaps because the boy was also awake, Fan Zhiyi didn't know where he got the courage to shout at the outsiders: "You guys are making such a fuss that everyone in the world has to be woken up. Do you think being a ghost means you have no manners? We still have a child sleeping here!"

Xiaobao turned over and the boy glared at Fan Zhiyi.

They really had no manners, because Fan Zhiyi saw dark shadows outside the window, and then heard the sound of "bang bang bang" knocking on the windows and doors. It seemed like they were trying hard to get in and look inside.

The young man finally couldn't bear it anymore. He pinched his left hand and summoned two golden talismans. He stuck one on the door and the other on the window. Then the whispering voices and shadows disappeared.

Fan Zhiyi was shocked and envious: "Why not use such a good thing?"

In the darkness, Fan Zhiyi seemed to be able to see the boy's gaze filled with actual contempt: "I'm not afraid."

"But Xiaobao will be scared."

"He fell asleep a long time ago," the boy said, "So, can you go back to your bed now?"

Fan Zhiyi thought about it, then shook his head, met the boy's gaze and forced a smile: "Can you give me a talisman as well?"

“…”

Fan Zhiyi held the talisman he had asked for as if it were a treasure, and returned to his bed contentedly, closing his eyes peacefully. He had no dreams that night and actually slept well.

Fan Zhiyi woke up according to his biological clock, feeling refreshed and stretched. He thought he'd woken up quite early, but when he turned around, he saw a young man meditating on his bed. This was his first direct experience, and Fan Zhiyi found it particularly novel. He rolled over and stared at the young man.

As soon as he moved, the boy opened his eyelids and looked at him.

I have to say that the boy's eyes are lively and Fan Zhiyi thinks they are beautiful.

People tend to appreciate and tolerate beautiful things, so Fan Zhiyi's impression of the boy is actually not bad.

Knowing that the boy didn't want to pay attention to him, Fan Zhiyi didn't want to make things awkward, so he looked at Xiaobao and found that Xiaobao was still sleeping.

So Fan Zhiyi was about to get up from the bed, but when his feet touched the ground, they went soft and he knelt down and wished the young man a happy new year.

Fan Zhiyi: "..." This stimulating and refreshing feeling is very similar to when I ran 800 meters the next day.

Because he hadn't exercised for a long time, Fan Zhiyi struggled to support his legs, which seemed not to belong to him, and stood up like sifting through chaff, with a strong smile on his face.

This leg feels useless.

"Are you hungry?" Fan Zhiyi asked in a low voice.

He had consumed too much energy last night, so he was a little hungry now. However, it was not completely unbearable. After all, Fan Zhiyi didn't think the boy would go out with him to find food. But Xiaobao was still a child, and he didn't know how long he had been trapped in the haunted house. Fan Zhiyi felt that he had to get something to eat so that he would have the strength to continue.

If you can go to the inn's kitchen and take a look, you might be able to find something edible.

Who knew that before Fan Zhiyi had finished asking, the young man got out of bed and put on his shoes. Under Fan Zhiyi's stunned gaze, he picked up the sword and opened the door. Then he gave Fan Zhiyi a look that looked like an idiot: "Are you leaving or not?"

"Let's go!" Fan Zhiyi jumped out of the door with the young man regardless of the pain in his legs. When he closed the door, he subconsciously glanced at the talisman on the door, which was shining with golden light. Xiaobao should be safe alone.

However, Fan Zhiyi was a little worried that Xiaobao would run around when he woke up and couldn't see them. He was also worried that the effectiveness of the boy's talisman would be reduced by half after a night.

"Fan Zhiyi." The young man didn't give him time to worry, nor did he wait for him. He called his name without even turning his head.

"Huh?" Fan Zhiyi hadn't realized the seriousness of the situation yet, but the next second the boy suddenly asked, "What's my name?"

Fan Zhiyi was stunned for a moment, as if a basin of cold water had been poured down upon him, completely numb. His brain raced, but he couldn't find a suitable answer.

He is dead, he is finished, how should he answer this fatal question!

The only way out is...

Fan Zhiyi asked tentatively: "Team, teammates?" I am crazy, is there such a word in this world?

He heard the young man laugh softly, but he didn't turn around or show any intention of refutation.

No way, he was so lucky, he could even guess right? Fan Zhiyi didn't believe that such a slim chance of good luck would fall upon him.

Sure enough, the next second the young man's sword was unsheathed and placed on his neck. The cold sword body pressed against Fan Zhiyi's skin, and Fan Zhiyi felt as if all the blood in his body was about to freeze.

"Get out of his body. Even though he is not very likable, he is, after all... a member of my Tianyun Sect. No matter what, I cannot let a lonely ghost like you take over his body and do evil." The young man spoke firmly.

In Tianyun Sect, people who are dying will burst out with their potential. Fan Zhiyi suddenly remembered something. The system said that he went on a mission with the disciples of Tianyun Sect and was then abandoned!

"I have lost my memory." Fan Zhiyi looked at the other person with earnest eyes.

"Oh."

"Really!" If you want others to believe you, you must believe in yourself. "When I woke up, I forgot everything. I didn't even know who I was. It was only when you called me that I felt a sense of familiarity. It turns out your name is Fan Zhiyi. But I vaguely remember that a few people abandoned me in that haunted house and ran away. You know me, and you inexplicably appeared in that haunted house. Was it you and your accomplices who abandoned me?"

This move turned the tables, and Fan Zhiyi felt that he had mastered it to perfection.

The original body was too miserable. He was abandoned by his fellow disciples and chased by a female ghost.

If it were Fan Zhiyi, even if he was backstabbed by a friend while playing games, he would be so angry that he would want to twist the other person's head off, not to mention that this is a real-life version, and it would be easy to lose his life.

He saw the young man staring at him with disdain: "I would never do such a boring thing." Then he put the sword back into the scabbard and walked down the stairs step by step as if nothing had happened.

Well, I guess I managed to get away with it.

Fan Zhiyi sighed silently. He almost thought that he was finished.

Despite this, Fan Zhiyi still followed the young man tremblingly, becoming more alert.

There was no way, the long sword was really cold, and Fan Zhiyi was afraid that this brother would really dislike him and kill him directly one day.
