Chapter 226 Stop liking him

A breeze blew in through the window, causing the light red gauze curtains by the bed to sway gently in the wind, blurring their vision.

The soft gauze curtains brushed against her naked body, swaying gently. Wang Wan trembled inexplicably, her eyes widened, and she was speechless.

How could he say such a shameless thing?!

Seeing her mouth agape and silent, Xie Xuan smiled slightly, straightened up, and slowly reached out to undo her belt.

The candlelight flickered inside the room. He was backlit, and the light shone on him, making his tall and slender figure appear even more striking. His shadow almost enveloped her, and although he was smiling, he inexplicably gave off a sense of oppression.

Wang Wan felt a dense rash of small goosebumps rising all over her body. Just as she was about to say something, he lifted the gauze curtain, climbed onto the bed, and forcefully pressed himself against her.

The moment their skin touched, both of them felt a shiver run down their spines for no apparent reason.

She forced down her racing heart, swallowed hard, and said, "No—don't do this—"

Xie Xuan's muscles tensed up. Not wanting to listen to her speak, he lowered his head and sealed her lips with his, his warm hands caressing the center of her thighs.

Wang Wan's body instantly went numb and trembled, causing tears to well up in her eyes, and she gasped for breath.

His hands were calloused, and the calluses on them made her feel extremely uncomfortable. A strange sensation, unlike anything she had ever experienced before, surged through her body, both tingling and numb.

Their breaths mingled in the tent. He pressed his lips against hers, kissing her repeatedly, sometimes sucking on her neck, sometimes kissing her earlobe, leaving his marks on her body.

"Untie me, untie me."

Her soft breathing softened his heart. Xie Xuan paused, then reached out and released her pressure points.

Wang Wan felt weak all over from his kisses, her breathing became disordered and rapid. When she realized she could move again, she struggled to push him away.

Xie Xuan suppressed the surging, wolfish rage within him, looked up at her, and stared at her for a moment without making a move.

The tent was dimly lit. Wang Wan's pale face was flushed like a peach blossom in spring, her eyes were shimmering, and she was like a lake of turbulent spring water, trembling violently.

She trembled as she pulled the blanket over herself, refusing to look at him.

Suddenly, he wrapped his arms around her waist, picked her up, and whispered her name in her ear.

"Ah Wan~"

His voice was slightly hoarse, carrying an indescribable tenderness, as he gently brushed against her ear, making her heart feel tingly and numb.

"Don't like him anymore, okay?"

Wang Wan's breath caught in her throat. She looked up at him and saw that his eyes were filled with a surging, unfathomable passion, as if they were about to devour her.

An impulse suddenly surged up, her mind went blank, and she suddenly leaned over, hooked her arms around his neck, and kissed him.

Their bodies were pressed tightly together when she suddenly bumped into him, as if she had crashed into his heart in an instant. Tiny cracks appeared, and a surge of emotions burst forth. He remained tense and motionless.

Wang Wan had never been so bold before. The moment he kissed her, she was stunned. She didn't know how to kiss, so she pressed her lips tightly together and didn't move.

Their breaths mingled, their eyes met, and she snapped out of her daze, quickly trying to back away.

Xie Xuan's eyes darkened, and he grabbed her waist and kissed her. On the soft couch, the two rolled together instantly, their bodies pressed tightly together.

Their hot breaths mingled, and the two kissed each other passionately, as if they had lost control.

In the long, silent night, beneath the embroidered curtains, two intertwined bodies were faintly visible. She deliberately ignored everything, calling his name in a daze of passion.

Xie Xuan was captivated by her initiative, his whole being radiating a wanton and flirtatious aura.

A pair of red candles burned quietly on the table, and the chirping of insects could be heard from outside the window from time to time, accompanied by the wind blowing in and stirring the light gauze.

Just then, the sound of a guard knocking on the door came from outside.

Xie Xuan ignored her and embraced the person in his arms, kissing her tenderly.

"Sir, Madam is coming this way with her entourage."

Wang Wan, who was being kissed and panting softly, heard these words in her dazed state. Her confused mind cleared up a bit, and she quickly turned her head to look.

There were many figures outside the door. She was startled and looked at the person on her. Realizing what she had done, her face turned slightly pale, and she quickly tried to push him away.

Xie Xuan was incredibly annoyed, so he hugged her and coaxed her softly, "Don't worry about them."

"Mo Feng said your mother has come."

Her breathing became disordered as she spoke, and her normally gentle body trembled slightly with tension.

Xie Xuan noticed something was wrong with her, pulled the blanket over her, and kissed her forehead. "Don't be afraid."

He picked up the clothes from the foot of the bed, put them on, and got up to open the door.

Seeing that the person had finally come out, Mo Feng hurriedly said, "Those people couldn't find the young lady, so the master told the madam that the master was having an affair with his betrothed sister-in-law---"

Xie Xuan's expression turned cold. Before he could say anything, he saw the person on the bed turn pale instantly. He paused, closed the door, and went over.

Wang Wan quickly picked up her clothes and put them on, then lifted the gauze curtain and got off the bed, looking around for a place to hide.

Xie Xuan grabbed her, "Are you scared?"

Otherwise, if word gets out and is exploited by those with ulterior motives, his career will be ruined.

Is there anywhere we can hide?

Xie Xuan didn't want to hide. He leaned down slightly, cupped her small face in his hands, and asked seriously, "Do you dare to acknowledge me?"

Once she accepted it, she would only ever belong to him; there was no turning back, and she dared not even think about her second brother anymore.

His mother would at most whip him once. As long as Xie Ling was killed, no one would know. The eldest son's family would never spread rumors about this and damage her reputation.

He would help her annul the engagement, handle everything, and then openly propose marriage to the Wang family and welcome her into their household.

Wang Wan looked into his earnest eyes, her mind a jumble of emotions.

If word gets out, he'll be branded with an incestuous reputation, forced to withdraw from the Xie family's power struggles, and if the 200,000-strong Northern Army falls into the hands of the second branch of the family, his chances of regaining power will be fading.

"Ah Wan?"

Wang Wan remained silent, forcing herself to calm down and remain rational, refusing to be troubled by love.

Seeing that she remained silent, Xie Xuan's eyes darkened slightly, and he reminded her, "You just kissed me first."

She paused, a pang of sadness welling up inside her, but her expression remained calm. "Is there a secret room where I can hide?"

"Wouldn't it be better to just admit it, or do you never want to marry me at all? Then why did you kiss me?"

He stared directly into her eyes, forcing her to respond.

Hearing the commotion downstairs, Wang Wan could only feign tears in her eyes and plead, "Can we talk about it later? Let me hide for a bit first."

Xie Xuan deliberately wanted to force her to admit it and stop thinking about his second brother, but seeing her cry, he softened and cursed himself for being despicable.

"If you don't acknowledge it now, and I send them away, will you break off the engagement with my second brother?"

Has he forgotten that he already has a fiancée?!

Wang Wan didn't want to argue with him here. As the voice grew closer, she panicked and clutched her chest, feigning pain.

Xie Xuan thought her heart condition had flared up, so he frowned slightly and dared not make a fuss anymore. He helped her up and coaxed her gently, "Alright, don't be angry. I'll let you hide it, I'll let you hide it."
