Chapter 33 Stop Bullying Your Husband

Chapter 33 Stop Bullying Your Husband

For Jiang Qingying, returning home after her wedding was simply a matter of having a meal at her parents' home. The only sense of ceremony was probably dressing up beautifully before setting off.

On their way to the Jiang family home, the newlyweds suddenly remembered something.

Honeymoon...

"What are your thoughts?" Lu Jinyuan asked.

Jiang Qingying looked at him and opened her work schedule. "I think the most important issue is whether we can coordinate our schedules."

Upon hearing this, Lu Jinyuan also opened his work schedule. The two studied it in the car for a while and found that they couldn't possibly coordinate it.

Jiang Qingying usually gets one or two days off on weekends, while Lu Jinyuan almost never takes a break on weekends.

When going on vacation, you naturally want to enjoy yourself for several days to truly have fun.

Jiang Qingying tentatively asked him, "How about...we postpone our honeymoon?"

"Do you mind?" Lu Jinyuan didn't think it mattered at all. For him, a honeymoon was just for fun, or rather, a change of scenery for work. "If you want to go, I'll bring my work with me."

Jiang Qingying felt helpless against his workaholic nature. "Why do you push yourself so hard? Is there nothing else in your life besides work?"

Lu Jinyuan was speechless.

"Cold-blooded capitalist," Jiang Qingying said with disdain. "Qi Xin must be green with envy for Zhou Yu."

Lu Jinyuan sighed, "It's not that exaggerated. I'm not a robot, I also need to rest."

"You're no different from a robot," Jiang Qingying muttered under her breath. Thinking back on her recent interactions with him, she realized that his way of thinking in life was very formulaic. He relied solely on reason for everything, just like what happened this morning. He made her angry and then Googled it. In his eyes, every girl is probably the same, and you can use Google to coax her.

Rigid and impersonal.

Use the same mindset you use for work to live life.

The only difference between him and a robot is probably that he is cunning, while a robot is not.

In the end, they decided to postpone their honeymoon. One of them didn't care, while the other thought that going out with someone would be incredibly boring.

The twenty-minute drive passed quickly.

The first thing Jiang Qingying did when she got home was to go to the restaurant to see what was for lunch. Lunch was almost ready, and the table was set with all her favorite dishes. She couldn't resist the urge to sneak a bite, but before she could fully reach out, Qin Qing slapped her hand.

"Don't steal any food, go wash your hands."

Jiang Qingying pouted.

Qin Qing looked at Lu Jinyuan and said with a smile, "Jinyuan, I don't know what you like to eat. I asked Qingying, but she doesn't know anything. See if it suits your taste. If you need more, ask the kitchen to add some dishes."

"Mom, no need to trouble yourself, I'll eat anything." Lu Jinyuan looked like a good son-in-law.

Jiang Qingying returned after washing her hands, looked around the restaurant, and asked in confusion, "Did that kid Jiang Xu run away?"

"He left early this morning to catch a flight, saying he was going to run some promotional events," Jiang Chen replied as soon as he came downstairs and heard her question.

Jiang Qingying and Lu Jinyuan both greeted him. Jiang Qingying sighed and said regretfully, "I was thinking that after lunch, we'll have plenty of time, so we could play mahjong together. I haven't played in a long time."

Jiang Qingying and Jiang Xu don't have many opportunities to be together at home, so everyone cherishes the time they spend together as a family. They usually do some activities together and enjoy family fun, with playing mahjong being the most frequent family activity.

"There are exactly four of us," Qin Qing asked her son-in-law. "Does Jin Yuan know how to play mahjong?"

Lu Jinyuan: "Yes."

Jiang Qingying knew he would hit her, of course. "But Mom, aren't you used to taking a nap?"

"Oh, it won't matter if I sleep one less time." Qin Qing didn't care at all. "Besides, Jin Yuan is coming to our house, so of course we should let him experience the atmosphere of our home."

Jiang Qingying was speechless, her face falling. That's why she was scolded so severely when she accidentally delayed Qin Qing's lunch break once.

Jiang Chen chuckled at his daughter's embarrassed expression, rubbed the back of her head, and then, after sitting down at the head of the table, said to Lu Jinyuan, "Jinyuan, would you like to have a couple of drinks with me later?"

Lu Jinyuan nodded, "Okay, Dad."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Qingying became somewhat agitated, frowning as she said, "Didn't you drink enough at the wedding banquet last night? And you drank again today."

A smile appeared on Lu Jinyuan's lips as he whispered in her ear, "It's alright, I'll just have a few drinks with Dad today."

Jiang Qingying paused slightly, pouted and hesitated for a long time before finally proudly uttering, "I'm worried about my dad."

Jiang Chen and Qin Qing silently observed the two's actions, exchanged a smile, both feeling relieved and satisfied.

After lunch, the family went to the recreation room to play mahjong.

Qin Qing has been playing cards for over ten years, so his skill is undeniable. Jiang Chen, Jiang Qingying, and Lu Jinyuan, on the other hand, have been fighting and plundering in the business world for many years. Their scheming and calculating nature makes them all equally matched. After one game, the four players are evenly matched.

In the end, Jiang Chen won the first round. His opponent to his left was Lu Jinyuan, and Jiang Qingying was Lu Jinyuan's opponent to his left. It was clear that he had given away his cards in two rounds, but he did so without leaving a trace.

Jiang Qingying gave him a silent look, as if to say: lackey.

She had a great hand; if he hadn't let her win, she would definitely have won in the next round.

Lu Jinyuan met her gaze; he knew, of course, that she was scolding him, but he simply smiled and remained silent.

Later, Jiang Qingying dominated his game, ignoring her own hand and refusing to let him even touch a card. She would also occasionally provoke him with her eyes.

When the snipe and the clam fight, the fisherman benefits. Qin Qing suppressed a laugh, "Qingying, stop bullying your husband."

Lu Jinyuan stared at Jiang Qingying with a helpless look in his eyes. After half a round, he only had one set of cards, while his opponent Qin Qing was about to win.

After half a round, they could basically guess each other's cards. Jiang Qingying fed him a card, which was like slapping him a few times and then giving him a piece of candy.

"That's fun."

Lu Jinyuan took away the cards she had played and then dealt another one, saying, "Well, whatever makes you happy."

In their internal conflict, Jiang Chen and Qin Qing emerged as the winners, and the two children managed to appease their two elders.

After a few rounds of playful banter, Jiang Qingying returned to her normal card-playing manners and stopped trying to have any romantic games with Lu Jinyuan, since her wallet had suffered for such games.

But her luck at cards was really bad today; she was so unlucky she wanted to chop her hands off. Hours had passed, and she hadn't won a single hand. She couldn't seem to draw the cards she needed, or she'd just discarded one only to have it drawn back immediately. In the end, her pale face was completely devoid of color. She sighed, looking at Lu Jinyuan with a mournful expression.

Lu Jinyuan bent his palm, loosely clenched his fist and placed it to his lips to hide his smile, then picked up his small basket where he kept his chips and poured all the chips into Jiang Qingying's empty basket.

The clanging of metal lasted for two seconds, and the once empty basket was now overflowing. He and she had swapped, and he was now penniless.

Jiang Qingying stared down at the plate of glittering coins, her heart filled like that basket, her fingers curled slightly as she rested on the cards, her emotions lingering.

She didn't mean it that way, but she was definitely happy.

Lu Jinyuan's cold eyes held a hint of indulgent amusement, but he said nothing and continued to focus on the cards.

Jiang Qingying also turned her attention back and saw the teasing looks from Jiang Chen and Qin Qing. Her face turned red for once, and she stammered, "Why are you... looking at me? We're playing cards."

Jiang Chen turned to Lu Jinyuan and said, "Don't be fooled by how strong she is outside; at home, she's just like a child."

"It's fine." Lu Jinyuan glanced at her, his expression slightly ambiguous.

Jiang Qingying blushed even more.
