Chapter 385 The Plan

Shen Qian slammed the door shut, completely shutting out the girl's bewildered face.

As he closed the door, Shen Qian sighed. He wasn't sure if it was a woman's so-called intuition or if this Wu Ling really had some connection with Huo Ling'er, whom he knew.

Regardless, Shen Qian felt that getting too close to Wu Ling might not be a good thing.

Although he had a vague sense of something, Shen Qian was still trying to avoid getting too involved with this era.

Having obtained the "heart's blood," now all that's needed before sinking is to safely embark on the journey home.

...

The next day, at dawn, Shen Qian removed the isolation array. As soon as he opened the door, Yue Jun was already waiting outside with breakfast.

"Brother Chenqian," Yuejun called out, then cautiously glanced into the room, as if confirming something.

"What are you looking at?" Shen Qian asked, somewhat puzzled.

"That You Clan princess last night..." Yue Jun hesitated, then stopped.

"Oh, she went into the wrong room." Shen Qian didn't say much, mainly because Yue Jun's eyes made him feel somewhat dangerous.

If he were to force an explanation, even though he and Yuejun had nothing going on, he would still have to come up with something.

You can't give the other person that kind of illusion.

Although he had essentially agreed to help the Yuezhi preserve their tribe, Shen Qian was still pondering whether there were any other methods besides traditional communication.

"Go and call Messenger Gao for me. He's in the room at the far right."

Chen Qian ate his breakfast and said to Yue Jun.

After Yuejun summoned Gao Zhe, Shen Qian first invited him to sit down before taking out a package from his pocket and handing it to him.

Gao Zhe took the package with surprise, but was stunned when he opened it, because inside were dozens of porcelain bottles containing pills of various sizes.

"I've made a note and pasted it on each kind of pill to show how to take it."

Shen Qian explained with a smile, "After you finish taking all of it, even considering the potential for adverse reactions, it should still add several hundred years to your lifespan."

Gao Zhe was startled. At first, he was somewhat skeptical, but after carefully examining the labels on the porcelain bottle, he immediately became half-convinced.

Changqing Dan, Huitian Ye, Dieffenbachia, Tianshou Pills...

There was a dazzling array of elixirs, some of which the great philosophers had heard of, and most of which they had never heard of.

Gao Zhe was also an alchemist. He only glanced at the herb ratios on the labels and knew that Shen Qian hadn't tricked him again.

But Gao Zhe was even more shocked.

Although Shen Qian's rescue of the Ninth Princess of the You Clan already demonstrated his exceptional alchemy skills, it was quite different from the fact that he produced so many unheard-of pills on the market right off the bat.

Not to mention, pills that can harmlessly increase lifespan are always in short supply and are definitely among the most precious of all pills.

There's another chilling detail.

So where did these elixirs come from?

If he had prepared beforehand, why didn't he give it to me last night?

Gao Zhe casually glanced at it and, sure enough, saw some fresh burn marks on the edges of Shen Qian's clothes.

The shock in Gao Zhe's eyes was even deeper.

He found it hard to believe that anyone could refine so many pills in one night, but he remembered that Shenqian's room was indeed isolated by an array last night.

All signs seem to indicate that this is indeed the case.

A thousand thoughts raced through Gao Zhe's mind, but he finally took a deep breath and solemnly thanked Shen Qian.

With these elixirs, the side effects of using the Time Conch could be minimized, which was of great significance to him.

Although the lifespan of the mountain and sea is quite long, consuming a thousand years at once could very likely hinder his path to becoming a true god.

He might not even be able to survive until the day he breaks through.

"Let's go, it's time to go to the palace to assemble."

After finishing breakfast, Shen called out to the two of them, and the three of them headed towards the Yan Clan's royal palace together.

Upon arriving at the palace, the square in front of the stone hall was already packed with people.

Among them were not only geniuses from the Yan Clan, but also geniuses from hundreds of large and small clans that the Yan Clan was responsible for gathering. Jiang Ming was speaking while standing on the steps.

Many people only know that there were powerful figures fighting last night, but they don't know the specifics of what happened. They were just a little surprised to see that Yan Wang had been replaced by Jiang Ming this morning.

However, for them, who the Flame King is is not that important.

After a brief explanation of the order, the youths in the square followed their respective guides to board flying boats outside the city, while Chen Qian stayed behind.

I already promised Jiang Ming last night that I would travel with him, so I won't be pretentious before going to bed.

...

Amidst the vast expanse of clouds and mist, a massive ship, a kilometer in diameter, sails horizontally high above the sky.

Shen Qian and Jiang Ming stood side by side, looking down at the mountains and rivers that kept passing by. For a moment, they were both lost in thought and remained silent.

Shen Qian had already realized that Jiang Ming seemed to want something from him. He had already sensed this when Jiang Ming introduced him to the various geniuses of the Yan Clan.

Sure enough, Jiang Ming couldn't hold back any longer. He sighed and asked, "Brother Shenqian, did you see the mountains we just passed? Weren't they incredibly beautiful?"

Shen Qian nodded. "Indeed, and surrounded by spiritual energy, it shouldn't be an ordinary place."

“That’s the habitat of a race called ‘Six-Tailed’,” Jiang Ming said with a hint of resentment. “The Six-Tailed race isn’t powerful, but just because they’ve attached themselves to the Witch Clan, they’re able to directly occupy territories that are far richer than those of our human race.”

Shen Qian roughly realized what Jiang Ming wanted to say, but he was still somewhat confused about Jiang Ming's purpose.
