Pangdahai Seafood Restaurant is doing brisk business since it just opened, with its spacious and bright hall full of diners.
In the middle of the restaurant, a long table was set up, with various seafood displayed on plates with ice as the base, for guests to help themselves.
At that moment, a man with a protruding belly called over a waiter, pointed to an empty plate in front of him, and asked, "Where are the oysters? Why are they all gone?"
"That can't be right!" The waiter was a little confused. "I just replenished the dish ten minutes ago!"
"Where's the salmon too?!" came the dissatisfied voice of a female customer from the side.
"They're even out of scallops! Are you kidding me?!" another customer shouted as they came to pick up their food. "Are you doing this on purpose? Didn't you say it was unlimited?"
The waiter broke out in a cold sweat, only then realizing that more than half of the plates on the long table were empty. It was unbelievable; he had indeed replenished the dishes ten minutes earlier!
The waiter notified the kitchen to replenish the food immediately while reporting the situation to the manager.
When the manager arrived and checked the surveillance footage, he saw that ten minutes earlier, an inconspicuous young man had come to the long table.
When he left, he also took with him a pile of plates stacked half a person high, covered with all kinds of seafood.
What's even more outrageous is that, seemingly to save space, the boy would remove the shells of oysters and throw them into the trash can, only putting the oyster meat on his plate...
"Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous! This must be someone sent by a competitor to cause trouble. Find him!" The manager was trembling with rage.
Half an hour later.
The manager sat at a table in the corner, his face full of a gentle and friendly smile, watching the boy sitting opposite him who was engrossed in eating.
Are you a reincarnated starving ghost?!
The manager's face twitched, trying his best to keep his expression in control.
He'd been sitting there for twenty-eight minutes, and the boy in the No. 7 Middle School uniform hadn't stopped talking.
He doesn't need to spit out the shrimp shells or peel the crab shells when he eats them. He eats those plates of seafood like they're soup dumplings, one bite at a time.
In the short time he sat down, thirty more empty plates appeared on the shelf next to the boy.
That's outrageous, absolutely outrageous...
Don't you need to digest or poop?
At that moment, the boy suddenly stopped and looked up at him.
The manager's expression brightened. Was it finally over?
To everyone's surprise, Shen Qian just gave him a strange look and said, "Manager Zhu, what are you daydreaming about? If you don't flip the squid soon, it'll burn."
Manager Zhu realized what was happening, sighed, and quickly flipped the bunch of squid he was grilling in the small bowl over.
He felt that he had overestimated the intelligence of the boy in front of him or underestimated his shamelessness. He had been sitting here personally serving him, so why did the boy still not understand? He just didn't understand.
Another hour passed, and after countless protest calls came from the kitchen, Manager Zhu, who was staring at the clock on the wall, suddenly shouted and stood up.
"Haha, sorry, it's 11 o'clock, we're closing up shop!"
Seeing the excited Manager Zhu, Shen Qian reluctantly stuffed the last skewer of squid into his mouth and asked, still unwilling to give up, "Don't we usually wait until all the customers have left?"
"We are a legitimate company that strictly abides by the law and will never exploit our employees' working hours!" Manager Zhu said with a serious expression.
"Alright, I'll be going now."
Seeing Manager Zhu's jubilant expression, Chen Qian added, "The taste is good, I'll be a regular customer from now on."
Manager Zhu froze on the spot.
...
"Now is the best time to lift weights and convert all the energy from food into physical fitness!"
After leaving the restaurant, Shen Qian quickly hailed a taxi and headed to the Kyushu Budokan South City branch.
Since getting a membership card, Shen Qian hasn't been to the martial arts gym for various reasons. But given his current physical condition, the only way for him to make the fastest progress is to rely on the gym's professional equipment.
Even though it was already late at night, many rooms in the Kyushu Martial Arts Hall in the South City still had lights on, and people were diligently training inside.
Upon entering the lobby, two elegant young women in simple, fitted martial arts uniforms were still standing at the front desk. Unfortunately, Xiao Xuan, the sweet girl who had served Shen Qian before, was not there.
However, Shen Qian wasn't there to pick up girls, so he didn't care. He walked to the front desk and said directly, "I'll book a Platinum Training Room for the whole night. The membership card will be named Shen Qian."
The receptionist on the right checked on the computer and then said apologetically, "I'm sorry, the only Platinum training room left has already been booked. Would you like to consider the Gold level?"
Shen Qian frowned, then shook his head helplessly, "Then let's go with the gold one."
Shen Qian still had about three thousand yuan on his card, which was more than enough to cover the overnight stay in the Golden Cultivation Room. After completing the formalities, the receptionist led Shen Qian to the back.
Passing the partition, you'll find yourself in the Budokan's public hall, but there are quite a few people gathered around the simulators, seemingly watching something.
Shen Qian glanced at it briefly, then turned away without any interest, because he seemed to see a figure that he found repulsive.
"Sinking forward?!"
He was too lazy to pay attention to Zhao Xin, but it was obvious that Zhao Xin had noticed him.
He pretended not to hear and went straight upstairs.
"Why is your ranking gone?" Zhao Xin stepped off the simulator, a hint of glee in his voice, "Did you get caught cheating? Hahaha..."
Zhao Xin's words startled Shen Qian. What ranking?
He stopped and glanced up, then roughly understood what Zhao Xin was talking about. Sure enough, his name was no longer on the electronic screen displaying the "Student Potential Index Ranking".
