Chapter 48 Money Always Makes Parting Painful



Upon entering the airport terminal, Shen spent five minutes going to the counter before rushing to the boarding gate area.

His eyesight was now extraordinary, and after searching around, he spotted Ding Yi carrying a small suitcase, waving goodbye to Lin Xiaoqian.

"Hey!"

Just as Ding Yi was about to turn and walk into the passage, Chen Qian shouted loudly and quickly parted the crowd to rush over.

Ding Yi paused upon hearing the shout, then saw Shen Qian rushing over, and finally stopped in her tracks.

Wearing a long, deep blue coat, with a snow-white face and her long, black hair casually piled up behind her, the tall and slender girl stood there, outshining all the colors around her.

"What are you doing here?" Ding Yi asked indifferently, still in that lukewarm tone.

"Of course it's for you," Shen Qian said firmly.

"You came at just the right time. If you had been a second later, you wouldn't have been able to deliver it to me." Ding said expressionlessly, uttering hurtful words.

"It's all my fault. I was so engrossed in cultivation last night that I didn't check my bracelet."

Shen Qian quickly smiled again and said, "But if I hadn't seen you this morning, it might not have been a bad thing."

Just as Ding Yi was somewhat confused about what Shen Qian meant by those words, Shen Qian pulled out a plane ticket from his pocket.

"I bought an afternoon flight. If all else fails, I'll just go to Beidu and you'll treat me to dinner."

Ding Yi fell silent.

She just stared at the plane ticket in Shen Qian's hand, her eyes sparkling.

"How much?" Ding asked.

Hearing that her tone had returned to its usual cool yet gentle quality, Chen Qian breathed a sigh of relief, waved his hand, and calmly said, "For you, no amount of money is worth it."

Nearly five thousand...

Shen Qian's heart was bleeding.
