"Shenqian, what are you daydreaming about?"
Seeing that Shen Qian was not leaving for a long time, Sun Zuo became a little anxious.
Shen Qian remained in a daze. When one reaches a certain level, one will always have some kind of connection with the heavens and the earth. Especially now that his spiritual power has broken through to the seventh level, he would never see the illusion of his teacher for no reason.
But the teacher is still at Wansui Mountain, which is said to be far from Earth. What could happen there?
Before Shen Qian could figure things out, a shadow suddenly and silently emerged from the seawater beside him, and a sword thrust towards him.
Sun Zuo didn't react for a moment, while Shen Qian subconsciously raised his hand and easily grasped the sword blade. The next moment, his palm shone brightly, and the sword blade shattered inch by inch. The powerful figure hidden in the shadows was also hit hard, and his body instantly became more transparent as he fell backward.
At the same time, three more people broke through the waves from the sea and rushed towards the sinking precipice.
The overwhelming aura even caused the seawater to tremble, creating a brief vacuum at the point where the energy intersected.
All of this, though a long story, actually happened in the blink of an eye. Only then did the stunned Sun Zuo and the dazed Shen Qian suddenly come to their senses.
"You bastard!"
Sun Zuo was furious and stepped forward to help Shen Qian stop one of the people. With a wave of his hand, thunder roared, and the light in an instant even illuminated a hundred-zhang area of the sea. The sound of muffled thunder continued to echo in the distance.
The other two looked extremely grim.
In fact, when they saw that Shen Qian had inadvertently crippled the mountain and sea expert who had launched the sneak attack, they already realized that something was wrong.
This terrifying strength was completely inconsistent with the faint light emanating from Shen Qian, but it happened too fast. They had already started and there was no turning back. They could only hope that Shen Qian had unleashed some trump card. Now that Sun Zuo had stopped one of them, their chances of killing Shen Qian were greatly reduced.
Before the two could figure out whether to give up, a truly desperate scene unfolded.
Suddenly, a light far more dazzling than when he blocked the first person erupted from Shen Qian's body. The terrifying soul aura made them freeze, and they almost instantly lost the courage to make a move.
This only happens when the gap becomes too large.
"die!"
As the two were filled with fear and unease, a cold word came out of Shen Qian's mouth.
The tearing pain seemed to erupt from the depths of their souls. The two people, stunned on the spot, had almost no power to resist and were instantly turned into thousands of fragments, their souls scattered.
Apart from the three differently shaped texts, the spot where the two had just stood was now just scattered starlight that blended into the surrounding seawater.
Both of them possessed strength approaching the peak of the Mountain and Sea realms, and should not have been so weak. Unfortunately, this was the Sea of Learning, where they only possessed two or three tenths of their original strength. Furthermore, due to their inner fear, they lost their composure and were caught off guard.
Shen Qian's "words become law" had already reached a high level, and due to the vast difference in the power of their souls, it directly resulted in an instant kill.
This scene surprised not only Shen Qian himself, but also Sun Zuo, who was fighting another martial artist nearby.
Taking advantage of the brief air raid, the Mountain and Sea Warrior, who was already terrified, fled wildly into the distance. Shen Qian had just caught up with the assassin who had made the first move, and by the time he killed the assassin with a single strike, it was too late to turn back.
"Grass!"
Sun Zuo finally realized what was happening and was about to give chase when Shen Qian stopped him.
"Never mind, it's too late."
Shen Qian glanced at the distance and shook his head.
Forcing a chase doesn't necessarily mean you won't catch up, but there's no need to.
"Shen Qian, your strength is too outrageous. Although I had some idea of what it was before, I don't understand it at all now."
Sun Zuo readily agreed and stopped in his tracks. Only then did he have time to marvel at what had just happened. With a wry smile, he said, "Look at their soul power—one at the peak of the Mountain and Sea Realm, and three at the late stage—they were no match for even a single blow!"
"It's also because you tied someone down, otherwise it wouldn't have been so easy..."
Shen Qian hesitated for a moment, but seeing Sun Zuo's disbelief, he didn't explain further. He simply turned his gaze back to the spot where the martial artists had fallen, and suddenly frowned, seemingly lost in thought.
"What's wrong now?" Sun Zuo asked curiously when he saw Shen Qian fall into a daze again.
"I was thinking... it's nothing, let's go."
He hesitated before speaking, but ultimately said nothing.
It's normal to be attacked; the huge bounty is on his head. His current situation is even worse than during the Nine Heavens War. Shen Qian just thought of some other things because of this.
But he hasn't fully figured it out yet.
However, interrupted by this sudden attack, Shen Qian temporarily put aside his inexplicable anxiety. No matter what happened to the teacher, he was powerless to help at the moment.
But with the teacher's abilities, he shouldn't encounter any danger, right?
That was all he could tell himself before he sank in.
The two collected the few low-star items scattered around and continued on their way.
Next, on the short journey of a hundred miles to the "Mountain of Books," Shen Qian and Sun Zuo encountered several more attacks.
Except for one instance where it was a result of the chaos caused by others vying for the "literary position," all the others were premeditated ambushes.
Of course, since Zhonghai had just opened, these martial artists who had inadvertently entered recognized Shen Qian in their haste, but they could hardly stop any effective encirclement. They were basically in groups of three to five, and did not pose any threat to Shen Qian.
