District 11.
Two figures emerged from the seemingly abandoned station.
"Is this place definitely abandoned?"
Xu Ruiling looked around suspiciously.
Clean streets, sleek station signs, and escalators that are still in operation.
This doesn't look like it's been abandoned at all.
Xu Ruiling looked around, completely unable to imagine what Ye Qianqing had described about District 11.
Unlike her completely innocent appearance, Shangwu looked around warily but did not find anyone lurking in the shadows.
If the believers had truly infiltrated the city's defense forces, they would have been aware of where this station connected to.
"Is nobody here...?"
Shangwu muttered something to himself, his expression a mixture of joy and sorrow.
Since no one is monitoring them, there are only two possibilities.
Whether there are not enough believers or there are too many believers, there is no need to worry about people from Kaitian Academy coming.
"Brother Shang, where are we going now?" Xu Ruiling asked excitedly.
Seeing her like this, Shangwu knew without a doubt that she wanted to wander around, which was exactly what he wanted to do as well.
"Let's walk around for a bit first."
"Then what are we waiting for?"
Grasping Shangwu's hand, Xu Ruiling led him on a walk around the area.
"Wow! This is Area 11!"
Two burly men were surrounded by onlookers on the street. They were shirtless and squatting in front of a stone table, straining to break each other's wrists.
"Give it your all! Take him down!"
"Don't let your guard down! Hang in there!"
"They're about to win! He's exhausted!"
The onlookers cheered and rallied to support the two martial artists.
With a crack, the stone table was the first to give way. As a crack appeared, it finally succumbed to the force of the two people and crumbled into powder.
"How do we calculate this?"
"What's that? Come on, get on the steel table and try again!"
"Then let's go!"
Amidst the cheers of the crowd, the written test didn't end; in fact, a few more people, itching for a game, started playing on the steel table that had been brought over.
Let's go.
After glancing at them, Shangwu led Xu Ruiling on a stroll through the streets.
"They all have such good manners."
Xu Ruiling remarked as she watched passersby turn around to look for trash cans instead of simply throwing their water bottles on the ground.
"Very clean."
Shangwu nodded, noting that not only was the area around the station clean, but the roads were also spotless.
This shows that the Eleventh District is very well-governed, and every resident is very willing to protect the environment here.
Or perhaps they slept on streets full of garbage, leaving themselves a way out?
Shangwu has been paying attention to this point all along.
Looking back at old posts from Japan, they were mostly complaints about homeless people, but now there aren't even any homeless people, let alone anyone who looks like they're in trouble.
The passersby all wore faint smiles, looking happy.
"Strange…"
Shang Wu gave only one word of evaluation and then went to the mall with Xu Ruiling.
"Is this your first time at Ruimeng Shopping Mall? Do you need directions?"
The enthusiastic staff went up.
"No need, I'll just wander around."
"OK."
Shangwu watched the staff member leave, and the aura emanating from the person proved that he was just an ordinary person.
According to the usual rules of District 11, ordinary people probably wouldn't even be qualified to appear in the mall, let alone work there.
Even ordinary staff members who guide guests are exposed online to avoid being targeted.
"Brother Shang, this outfit looks great!"
Xu Ruiling obviously hadn't done any background checks; since she was going out with Shang Wu, he would naturally handle everything.
She doesn't need to worry about it at all.
"Does it look good?" Shangwu turned around thoughtfully. "Then try it on and see."
"Wait for me."
Soon, Xu Ruiling walked out wearing a vibrant sportswear outfit, and her tight jeans perfectly showcased her long, slender legs.
"It is indeed beautiful, but it's not a dress; it's my Ling'er," Shangwu affirmed.
"Hmph, you have good taste, I'll buy it!"
In just a short while, several shopping bags had piled up in the space bracelet.
"Let me try yours."
At the entrance of the milk tea shop in the mall, Xu Ruiling snatched Shang Wu's cup and started tasting it.
"It's too bland, mine tastes better."
Shangwu said helplessly, "Eat less sugar."
"Um?"
"Wrong..."
Xu Ruiling nodded in satisfaction: "You can't say that, it makes it sound like you think I'm fat."
Shangwu rubbed his forehead.
Establishing a relationship is great in every way, except we can't talk as freely as before, or we'll have to sleep on the sofa.
"How was it, Brother Shang?" Xu Ruiling suddenly asked, "Was there anything unusual along the way?"
Shangwu's observations along the way also caught her eye, and she probably guessed that the investigator's mission was related to this.
"promise."
Shangwu gestured casually.
"What's the meaning?"
“Everywhere is abnormal,” Shangwu paused before saying.
"Is it that serious?"
"You'll see when I show you."
Shangwu handed her the phone, which showed what the 11th district looked like in the past.
"No way?" Xu Ruiling looked up, then looked at her phone.
These depict two completely different worlds!
"I'm going to the restroom, can I have my phone?"
"Why bring your phone to the toilet? Otherwise, you'll be spending at least half an hour there again."
Xu Ruiling shoved his phone into her pocket and said domineeringly, "Confiscated!"
"..." Shangwu: "Alright."
After he walked away, Xu Ruiling chuckled and took out her phone: "You're always on your phone, let's see what secrets you have!"
A while later, she lay on the table, idly scrolling through Shangwu's phone.
