"Another one."
On a high-rise building opposite the hotel, Su Fei sat among a crowd, yawning.
Qin Sheng had only been there for an hour when everyone came running, drawn by the smell.
Looks like things aren't going to be easy from now on.
As he was pondering, Su Fei's expression froze for a second. Qin Sheng walked out of the room, accompanied by Le Ren.
"Qin Sheng, what's worth visiting in District 11?"
Le Ren sighed helplessly, "Everyone here values strength, there's nothing for us to play with."
He paused for a moment, then leaned closer with a lewd grin: "But because of that, this place is doing very well if you want a foot massage."
Qin Sheng glanced at him and said calmly, "You said you admire martial arts, so you must have hunted a lot of strange beasts."
"That's true."
"The predicament of living weapons is greater than you think. Looking at more remains of alien beasts will be helpful for research."
Upon hearing this, Le Ren shut his mouth and stopped joking around.
Which one is the biggest?
Le Ren shook his head: "If Qin Sheng wants something different, I do have a good place."
Judging from his serious expression, he wasn't joking.
"oh?"
“You know the black market, right?” Le Ren whispered.
“That works.” Qin Sheng nodded. “I’ve never been to the black market before. Do you know it?”
"Hehe, there are a few acquaintances."
Le Ren does have connections; after all, he was able to fawn over Qin Sheng on their first meeting. With that kind of shamelessness, it would be hard not to know some people.
"Brother Liang, it's been a long time."
He led Qin Sheng to a small newsstand, and Le Ren took out a cigarette and went up to it.
I don't know what they said, but then they came back with two masks and a black sign.
"Come on, put on your masks and think of a nickname while you're at it. Now we're heading into the black market."
Le Ren handed him the black tag: "This is a pass, made of materials from exotic beasts. Don't lose it; it will at least keep you safe in the black market."
"What about outside the black market?" Qin Sheng asked, playing with the object.
"Then we'll see if the city guards can arrive in time," Le Ren said, shrugging.
Donning the uniform black mask, Le Ren's voice became smug: "Please call me Tang Ren."
Qin Sheng also calmly replied, "Sprout."
"A good name," Le Ren said, not forgetting to flatter.
Follow Le Ren into the newsstand, where there is a long staircase leading downwards.
Meanwhile, the black market also welcomed many customers who entered from other locations.
"Sir, I'm just a gatekeeper... surely it's not necessary to send a grandmaster?" Brother Liang raised his hand, not daring to move an inch.
Su Fei glanced at him, put on his mask, and entered the black market.
"That brat Le Ren, why didn't he take him somewhere else? Doesn't he know how important Qin Sheng is?"
He sighed deeply; the workload was now even greater!
Not far down, they returned to the ground through a passage.
Qin Sheng was not surprised at all, because the entire underground depths of Kaitian City had been treated to prevent alien beasts from digging in from below, but people could not dig down either.
After scanning the surroundings, it appeared to be an abandoned area. The surrounding buildings were somewhat dilapidated, but the ground floor had been simply cleaned and the shops were open.
People walking on the street were all wearing masks, and many were also draped in black robes. When they saw something they liked, they would talk to the shopkeeper in hushed tones.
"Sprout, the area for the alien beasts is over there."
Le Ren whispered.
Following Le Ren, Qin Sheng began looking at the remains of various strange beasts, occasionally picking out a few to buy, as if he were really shopping in Black Crystal.
Su Fei had somehow followed not far away, his figure concealed by a black cloak, as he observed the surroundings.
Sure enough, news of Qin Sheng's arrival at the black market spread quickly.
“The person I’m protecting is now within my sight.”
A man squatting by the roadside smoking spoke quietly into his earphones, his gaze occasionally sweeping across the street, as if he were simply bored.
"Keep an eye on him. We're going to make contact with the target."
"no problem."
The man slowly exhaled a puff of smoke, his gaze sweeping across the room as always.
But as a figure walked past Su Fei, he disappeared from the spot.
The man's expression changed, and just as he was about to speak, he felt a chill on his back.
The next second, a hand gently tapped his head, and he lost his strength and fell to the ground.
"There are two more."
Su Fei murmured to himself, and his figure disappeared once again.
The two people who were walking towards Qin Sheng had also disappeared without a trace.
"Good tactic."
"Huh? What did you say?"
Qin Sheng glanced at Le Ren, who knew nothing at all, and suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"Le Ren, classmate."
"Shh! Didn't Mengya say not to reveal your real name?" Le Ren said anxiously.
"So nervous?"
Qin Sheng raised an eyebrow, a playful look on his face: "I thought you were a big boss in the black market, but it turns out you're not."
Le Ren paused, a little embarrassed: "You figured it out."
"It's not that I could tell, it's just that given my current situation, anyone with a brain wouldn't bring me to such a chaotic place."
Qin Sheng said calmly, "Are you going to act as a go-between or an inside man?"
"No, no, no." Le Ren quickly waved his hand: "Don't make things so serious. I just wanted to introduce you to a friend."
After a moment, he assured him, "Don't worry, Qin Sheng. Although my friend runs a black market, he has absolutely no intention of going against the higher-ups."
"Is that so? Then you won't lead the way?"
"You agree?"
"Um."
Le Ren chuckled, but didn't notice that Su Fei's face had darkened in the shadows.
