Upon seeing Xun Ye, a group of guards lined up and saluted him.
The two stopped at the gate, and Xunye summoned the captain of the guards.

Xun Ye's words were not a question; they were a blatant threat.
"Lord Xunye, your subordinates naturally don't need passes." The man smiled ingratiatingly; he couldn't afford to offend this woman.
“She’ll be coming and going through this gate a lot from now on, you know what I mean? If you don’t like it, just get her some kind of pass, that would be more convenient.” Xun Ye said coldly, she had never actually heard of such a thing as a pass.
To enter the inner city, one generally needs to announce their arrival. Xun Ye is an exception; he rarely uses gates, as the convenience of spatial magic is beyond imagination. Generals like the Great Fox or Shen Rui receive orders before even entering the royal city, and no one stops them.
The rest of the people who wanted to enter the inner city had to wait for notification and identity verification. This could take anywhere from a few hours to ten days or half a month.
The man turned his head and shouted loudly at the guards, "You, remember this young lady's face? She is Lord Xun Ye's subordinate. From now on, let her pass directly when you see her."
This wasn't Xiao Ai's first time visiting Xun Ye in the inner city, but she usually had to stand in front of the gate and wait to be announced. This time, following Lord Xun Ye, she really got to be awesome.
Xun Ye smiled; this guy actually has some sense. "Isn't this too much trouble for you?"
"Lord Xunye, you're too kind. It's what I should do."
The captain of the guards accompanied the two of them for quite a distance, chatting and laughing, before returning home.
