Chapter 1002 It's better to die here than to die in despair at sea.

The Kingdom of Cyprian stands as a clear dividing line between major powers like Dressrosa and those within the New World. If we categorize it by the power of the World Government versus those outside of it, Cyprian is a frontline kingdom.

Unlike small countries like Kolf, the Kingdom of Cyprian is quite large. This kingdom itself does not fly any pirate flags, but it has almost surrendered under the attack of Dressrosa.

Why do I say "almost"? Because the capital city has not yet surrendered.

Relying on Cyprian's tall and thick walls, they temporarily defended against Dressrosa's attack. Dressrosa did not linger there either. In their eyes, it was just a city that had not surrendered. They would conquer the surrounding area first and then slowly wear this city down.

But for Cyprian, this was already desperate enough. On the battlefield, they were being driven back by Dressrosa, with their elite troops either surrendering or being wiped out. Even they were frustrated as to why their elite troops had surrendered.

But now is not the time to think about that. The Unicorn Pirates have launched a full-scale invasion, led by their captain, 'Unicorn' Orpheus, who has entered the territory of the Kingdom of Cyprian and reached the capital, Cyprian.

"What magnificent city walls!"

Outside the walls of the capital city of Cyprian, a large group of pirates were approaching. One of the pirates, whose helmet had a single horn, looked at the city wall, which was more than twenty meters high, and exclaimed, "It's very thick. Cannons alone probably won't be enough. Besides, there are many cannons on this city wall."

"What are you afraid of? We have a captain!" another pirate said nonchalantly. "Have you forgotten what the captain's nickname is?"

"Hahaha, fortress destroyer, yeah, just wait until you break through the walls and plunder! This time I'm going to take as much as I want!" The pirate chuckled, looking on with anticipation.

"The captain is here!"

With a shout from one of the pirates, the pirates split into two rows, making way for a giant who stood about ten meters tall. The giant's footsteps shook the ground. He was dressed in simple fur clothing, carrying a large wine cup, and swayed as he approached. The single horn on his head gleamed in the sunlight.

On the top of the city wall, a group of soldiers huddled there, looking fearfully at the giant who was more than half the height of the city wall.

One of the soldiers stammered, "This...this is within Cyprian territory. What...what are you pirates up to?"

"Hiccup... These city walls are so annoying!"

Orpheus downed the wine in his goblet in one gulp, then threw it outwards, smashing it directly onto the head of a pirate next to him. The huge goblet pressed the pirate down, and they both fell to the ground.

"What am I going to do? I'm going to conquer this place and make my flag fly here!"

Orpheus shook his head for a while, then suddenly lowered his body and said, "These city walls are such an eyesore!"

Boom!!

As soon as he finished speaking, he charged forward like a cannonball, his single horn slamming directly into the tall, thick city wall. With a deafening roar, he smashed a huge hole in the wall, sending debris flying and causing it to collapse. The wall was thus carved out of the spot where Orpheus struck.

"The city walls have been destroyed! Run!"

The soldiers on guard shouted and fled in panic.

"Charge!"

When the pirates saw that the city wall had been breached, they gripped their weapons and prepared to rush in through the gap.

"I flow..."

Just then, a loud shout came from afar behind them.

Some pirates turned around and saw a figure, kicking up a trail of dust, rapidly approaching their location.

"Ocean Current Burial!!"

Boom!!

The figure threw a punch, creating a swirling mass of air like a tornado, instantly creating a vacuum in the pirate group.

This scene made Orpheus, who had just gotten up and was shaking his head, turn his head to look. He saw a man with a long catfish beard standing in the empty space.

"Rudolph?"

Orpheus grinned maliciously and turned around. "What are you doing here, you ground rat? What's wrong? Did your master send you to wipe me out?"

As well-known figures in the New World, Orpheus knew Rudolph, had even invited him, and knew that the leader of this half-fish-man race had become a Shichibukai.

Rudolf smiled gentlemanly and said, "Your foul mouth is still not cured. You're always drunk. I suggest you soak your head in seawater, preferably submerge yourself completely, to sober up."

"Hahaha, you've gone from being a rat to a lackey, and your arrogance has grown quite a bit!"

Orpheus laughed heartily: "You wouldn't have dared to talk like that before."

Rudolf stretched his arms and legs. "The past is the past, and the present is the present. You used to be a guard of Elbaf, but aren't you still a pirate now? A different kind of pirate, no less."

Giant pirates usually travel in groups. As the dominant race on the sea, they are very united. Generally, if a giant becomes a pirate captain, he will definitely have other giants under his command.

However, Orpheus seems to look down on his fellow giants and formed his own pirate crew.

Orpheus's face darkened with anger upon hearing this. "You've become arrogant, haven't you? You stinky catfish, you don't actually think you can take me down with just a few of you, do you?"

As he said this, three people rushed over from behind Rudolf: Dagon, Bessem, and Taylor.

Orpheus also knew these three; they were a notorious group of moles.

“I can handle you on my own, but Vice Admiral Jinni’s mission is to cooperate with the Navy to take you down.”

Rudolf said coldly, "Sorry, Orpheus, you're going to die here today."

"You?!" Orpheus twisted his neck. "Perfect timing. I've wanted to kill you for ages. How dare you refuse my invitation before."

"That probably won't work."

Suddenly, a sound came from the other side.

A man wearing a navy cloak, a black suit, and glasses led a group of navy soldiers slowly approaching.

"Leaving aside whether you can do it or not, if you kill him, Mr. Kuro will be angry. It would be a loss of face for Mr. Kuro if he were to be killed just like that, after all the hard work he put into finding a Shichibukai."

The man adjusted his glasses and stared at the unicorn giant. "The best way is for you to die here so we can complete the mission. That way, Mr. Kuro won't be angry. Believe me, someone of your caliber wouldn't want Mr. Kuro to be angry. Dying here in battle is better than dying in despair at sea."

The visitor was none other than Kro, who had arrived in Cyprian after several days of travel.

And then I happened to witness this scene; it's better to arrive at the right time than to arrive early.

"Golden Lion?"

Orpheus stared at Crowe and said, "That guy who supposedly defeated Blackbeard? You think I'm afraid of him? After I kill you all, I'll go find Golden Lion myself and take his head off too!"

Kuro bared his teeth, instantly transforming into a werewolf in a beast-like form. "You'd better survive first, pirate!"
