The sound could be heard inside without anyone even needing to go outside.
"The King of the Dominican Republic is calling me?"
The man's voice was so loud that Kuro could hear it too. He frowned slightly. "Why is he calling me? The Buster Call? It's over. It has nothing to do with him anymore. Why is he calling me now? Is he too scared? There's no need... You two go out and explain that it's all over."
"yes!"
Cass and Wilbur nodded in unison and went out together.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the deck, surrounded by a large number of marines, Harvey frowned, glanced around, and then fixed his gaze on Krona above.
'Black Wolf' Kroo.
As a well-known figure in the Navy, Harvey certainly knew him.
His presence here means that General Jin Ni has not yet left.
Everyone knows that when Kro is around, there's a 60% chance that Jinni will be there, and now that the Demon Buster has just been completed, that probability will increase significantly.
Where the beluga whale is, there is a 95% chance that the golden lion will be there as well.
"The Dominican Republic's affairs officer?"
Kro frowned. "I remember you guys abandoned Comerlik Island, completely severing ties. And now you dare to come knocking, so arrogantly... Didn't you even call ahead?"
Harvey bowed. "Lieutenant General Crowe, my name is Harvey. My king believes that an invitation in person shows more sincerity."
"unnecessary!"
Just then, two voices came from behind.
Cass and Wilbur appeared behind Crow and said, "Mr. Crow said that the Buster Call has nothing to do with the Dominican Republic, and that you can go back."
"I'm sorry, but I am under orders from my king that I must receive General Jinni."
Harvey gave a polite smile and bowed to the group again. "'Great Shield' Cass, 'Great Gun' Wilbur, since you are here, then General Golden Lion must be here as well."
"Really... with such high intensity, how can someone like Brandt be allowed to run rampant here?"
A voice suddenly appeared.
Kuro, with a cigar in his mouth, led Lida out and looked down at Harvey, his gaze seemingly trying to see right through him.
"You've got some skills, this level of strength isn't weak. So why do you guys try to distance yourselves from Comerlik when things go wrong?" Kuro asked.
“This is not my responsibility; I am merely an administrative officer,” Harvey said neither humbly nor arrogantly.
"Really? I slaughtered over 100,000 people in the Dominican Republic, and you don't hate me?" Kuro asked with interest.
Harvey smiled and said, "Comeric is no longer part of the Dominican Republic; it is independent, so what happened has nothing to do with us. I just personally feel deeply sorry about this."
"Feudal bureaucrats, they're all the same."
Kuro rolled his eyes. "You're annoying, but it seems you won't leave until I agree. Fine, I'll go and tell your king that the ten Buster Call warships and their crews are all expensive. Every minute they stay is a cost of supplies. The navy doesn't have that much money for us to do personal things. If you want me to come, that's fine, but you'll have to pay an appearance fee."
"Here, let's leave aside those below the rank of vice admiral and calculate based on ordinary naval personnel. From this moment on, it's five million Berries per hour. I have six vice admirals here, six million Berries per hour. I can give you a slight discount to round it up to four million Berries per hour. That's a total of fifteen million Berries per hour. If your king agrees, we'll go; if not, then forget it." Kuro exhaled a puff of smoke and said directly.
There was nothing to begin with, yet they insisted on calling him over.
Okay, he'll go over there.
But the money still has to be paid.
He didn't have a good impression of this country. Ever since they stopped rescuing people and even removed Comorric Island from the list of protected islands, Kuro had no good feelings towards them.
If the money isn't coming from the islands, then let's see if it's coming from them.
"Please wait a moment."
Harvey paused for a moment, then took out a Den Den Mushi, dialed a number, and the call was quickly answered. The Den Den Mushi then transformed into a lazy yet aloof figure.
"Your Majesty, General Jinni has agreed, but he requires 15 million Berries per hour..."
"Approved." A short but indifferent voice came from the other end of the Den Den Mushi.
"yes..."
Just as Harvey finished speaking, someone else suddenly said, "General Jinni, I look forward to meeting you. I believe we will have a very pleasant exchange."
After the other end finished speaking, the call was immediately disconnected.
Harvey bowed to the Golden Lion and said, "General Golden Lion, our king agrees."
"Tsk, you're really willing to spend money. How come you're reluctant to spend money just to feed, drink, and provide for the basic needs of a hundred thousand people? That would probably cost fifteen million Berries a day." Kuro clicked his tongue in amazement.
Isn't this a classic case of 'pouring milk'?
They'd rather throw it away than share it with anyone else.
They have money to give to them, but not money to help their own people?
What operation?
"Okay, I'll go if you give me the money!"
Kuro gritted his teeth and said resentfully, "I'll use this money to buy grave mounds for these dead people, no objections, right?"
Harvey maintained his smile and said, "Please come with me to the capital; I will lead the way."
"Alright, go find a place to rest yourself. My naval warship is rather rough, probably not as precious as your position as a service officer."
Harvey nodded, not wanting to linger there. Instead, he leaped into the air and transformed into a giant eagle, soaring high into the sky. His enormous size cast a shadow that covered half the size of the warship.
"Oh? An ancient species? That's quite a size." Kuro glanced up and said.
"Huh? Isn't that the Hastler's Giant Eagle?" Lida looked up and said in surprise, "I guess it still exists. I thought it was gone."
"Where have you seen this before?" Kuro asked curiously.
"Small Garden".
Lida said, "I stayed there once before and even met two giants. The island is quite ancient, and I encountered many species that are now extinct. The food was quite delicious."
You've been there before...?
Kuro smirked and suddenly said, "Who is the king of the Dominican Republic? He seems rather arrogant."
"Dovich Edmund".
Kro adjusted his glasses and said, "He's a fairly famous king. He became the king of the Dominican Republic at the age of eight and has been ruling the kingdom for thirty years now. Under his rule, there haven't been any major news events in the Dominican Republic, not even being robbed by pirates. Every year, the country is the first to pay its share of the Heavenly Gold. It's a country that makes the higher-ups feel incredibly at ease."
"Strange. After so many years in power, he should have some experience in governance. He shouldn't be an idiot. How could he make such a decision as abandoning the island?"
Kuro exhaled a puff of smoke. "Alright, we'll find out when we get there. Go tell Doberman and Fire Mountain to go back later and take them to earn some extra money."
