The inexplicable pressure emanating from the group of powerful figures made the guards tremble involuntarily.
Soon, they crossed the steps and arrived at the gate.
"Open the door," Akainu said coldly.
"yes!"
The armored soldier saluted, turned around, and shouted, "Open the door!"
As the mechanism clicked, the silver-white door gradually opened a crack, revealing a bright white light.
As the door opened, the blazing white light transformed into a stunningly beautiful scene, and Mary Geoise appeared before Kuro.
What comes into view is an extremely long and wide road, at the very end of which the outline of a gate can be seen, and beside that outline is a huge golden palace.
Beside the road was a large forest, with trees of uniform height. A river flowed through the forest, encircling the area, creating a very orderly scene.
With its uncluttered landscape, lush grass, fallen petals, blue sky and white clouds, and fresh air, the combination of forest and river is perfect; this place would be top-notch anywhere.
No wonder many kings wanted to live in Mary Geoise.
The road is dotted with some huge cobblestones, but in the center there is an extremely long stone-paved road.
"Please use."
The armored soldier took several connecting rods and respectfully handed them over.
"No need, we can walk."
The crane waved its hand and walked towards the side road.
Kuro glanced at the stone-paved road but said nothing.
Seeing Kuro staring at the stone path, Kizaru chuckled and said, "That's an automatic pedestrian walkway. You put that connecting rod into the hole above, and the walkway will move automatically. However, it's best not to do such a thing. That path isn't suitable for us."
Kuro said in a deep voice, "I understand."
No one wanted to take the middle path; they all went to the side and moved forward.
The atmosphere was somewhat heavy.
This scenery seems to have lost its magnificent charm.
Everyone remained silent throughout the journey, and the armored soldiers accompanying them were trembling with fear.
Only when they reached the second gate did the armored soldiers accompanying them breathe a sigh of relief; they wouldn't have to walk the rest of the way, as another group would accompany them.
The second gate was a crossroads. There were four gates in total, one of which led to the enormous palace, the true heart of Mary Geoise.
After passing through the gate, Kuro and his companions walked for a while and then saw a golden bridge. Beyond the bridge stood a towering golden city gate, which was the entrance to the palace.
He looked up at the enormous golden palace and said slowly, "Let's go, the Warring States are still waiting there."
The gate on the bridge slowly opened, and before the group of people could even enter, a figure rode out on something.
"Hurry up, you lowly fool!"
It was a Celestial Dragon riding on the back of a giant man, followed by a group of guards. He was holding a scepter and constantly striking the giant male slave.
The slaves' limbs and necks were shackled, and they crawled on the ground, their bodies swaying as they moved. Their bodies were covered in wounds, some new and some old, but all were severe.
His life force was already very weak.
Upon seeing the newcomers, the nearby soldiers all spontaneously parted to the sides and obediently knelt down.
Only the navy standing in the middle of the bridge looked so out of place.
It looks like a pen holder.
The Celestial Dragon, who was beating the slave, stopped and looked at the group of Marines standing in the center.
"It is Saint Rozwald."
Kizaru stood beside Tsuru and spoke softly to her.
"Ah...I know."
Crane nodded and glanced at that Heavenly Dragon.
"Navy, get out of the way! This is the noble Saint Roswald, you're blocking the way!"
Among the guards behind the Celestial Dragons, one of them stepped forward and bossed them around in an imperious manner.
"So this is a Celestial Dragon..."
Kuro looked at Roswald, and to be honest, this was the first time he had seen a living Roswald in his more than twenty years of life.
Of course, he didn't get to see him die.
Roswald was dressed in a white outfit that covered him completely, the style being narrow at the top and bottom and thick in the middle. He wore sunglasses, his hair was the color of dry grass and combed into a stick-like hairstyle, and he had a thick beard.
He wasn't wearing a helmet; in Mary Geoise, Celestial Dragons don't need to wear helmets.
It's only when they reach the 'lower realm' that they realize the air there is polluted and put on helmets.
Kuro chuckled, "Like a crooked seashell."
"Keep your voice down, he's a Celestial Dragon after all," Bogart whispered from the side.
Kuro shrugged, glanced at the dying slave, exhaled, took out a cigar from his pocket, and lit it.
Upon seeing this, the guard who had spoken earlier immediately shouted, "Hey, smoking is not allowed in the Holy Land. It will pollute the air here. Put it out now!"
Roswald's face darkened. "You want me to inhale your filthy smoke, you lackey!"
As he spoke, he forcefully struck the slave beneath him.
Upon hearing this, Kuro paused for a moment, then picked up his cigar, reached out, and flicked it with his fingers.
The cigarette ash fell to the ground.
Kuro opened his mouth and exhaled a puff of smoke. Whether intentionally or not, the direction he exhaled was exactly in the direction of Roswald.
"Sorry, I got too excited to see the Celestial Dragons and became a little nervous. It wasn't intentional."
Kuro spoke without a trace of nervousness.
Roswald's expression changed. "You!"
"Oh~ even I, an old man, am craving a cigarette."
Suddenly, Kizaru also took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, took one out and put it in his mouth, then lit it with a match.
