Ten days later, below Wano Country, a pirate ship bearing the Big Mom flag gradually approached the waterfall at the other end of Wano Country.
It's not the Carp Waterfall, but the waterfall on the back side of Wano Country that leads to the underwater harbor.
"Katakuri-nii-san, are you really going to go in alone?"
On the ship's deck, a woman with a face like a witch asked a man near the bow of the ship with concern.
The man was tall with red hair, long legs, a stitched scar on his cheek, and his mouth was covered by a scarf. He dressed in a very metallic style and held a trident in his hand. His eyes were solemn as he stared at the approaching waterfall.
Hearing Brulee's question, Katakuri shook his head and said, "They said they only invited me, and only one person needs to go. Right now, I'm the only one who can represent the Big Mom Pirates. Let's send a small boat."
"Katakuri-nii-san..."
"Let him go, let him go."
Just as Brulee was about to try to persuade him again, she was interrupted by Perospero, who came over with his long tongue sticking out and leaning on a cane made of candy. "Katakuri, let's talk this out properly. Don't tarnish the reputation of our Big Mom Pirates!"
After their argument ended, Perospero had no choice but to accept Katakuri's decision. There was nothing he could do; since everyone considered him the captain, he had to follow the captain's plan.
Aside from the fact that his mother died at the hands of the Golden Lion, and that he and the others were chased away like flies, becoming a Shichibukai is actually a very good choice given the current situation.
After calming down, Perospero resumed his thinking and realized that this really was a path for the Big Mom Pirates at present.
Even though they can still be considered strong after their mother is gone, they certainly won't be as carefree as before.
Those covetous pirates, the rebellions on other islands, and the Navy would never let such an opportunity pass by. So why not choose one side to pledge allegiance to and wait for the right moment?
Becoming a Shichibukai grants them numerous advantages, as for dealing with pirates...
They were going to deal with pirates anyway, so there's no difference.
"I understand, Brother Perospero, I will be careful."
Katakuri nodded, and at that moment a small boat was launched from the side of the ship. He jumped onto the small boat with his trident and headed towards the waterfall. Before reaching the waterfall, he swung the trident forward with all his might, splitting the waterfall in two. He went into the middle opening until the waterfall closed again.
"Katakuri-nii-san..."
Bruy looked worriedly at the sealed waterfall and asked Perospero beside her, "Brother Perospero, will everything really be alright?"
"Of course."
Perospero said matter-of-factly, "What kind of person do you think Kinni is? If that man, that guy really wanted to deal with us, he wouldn't need to deceive anyone into going to their place. He could just come and wipe us all out. That was just Katakuri, not Mom. Even if it were Mom, she died at that man's hands."
He looked at the waterfall and said quietly, "Don't worry, it's just a matter of whether it's embarrassing or not, nothing else. Katakuri will handle it."
After passing through the deep passage and reaching the innermost abyss, a mechanism soon emerged from the water, carrying Katakuri in a small boat that kept rising until he could see the light, at which point he became somewhat dazed.
We've arrived in Wano Country.
At the exit, two squads of naval personnel stood there expressionless and upright. Katakuri arrived without saying a word or making any indication, simply letting him appear alone.
"Katakuri?"
Just as Katakuri was scanning the people around him, a voice rang out. He looked closely and saw a bespectacled man in a black suit waiting at the front, seemingly waiting for him.
Katakuri recognized this man. As Kinni rose to fame, the naval officers around him had naturally become familiar to people on the high seas long ago.
Black Wolf, Kro.
Seeing Katakuri looking over, Kuro said, "Come with me. Mr. Kuro is waiting for you. Come to think of it, you're quite obedient. I was prepared to throw your whole ship overboard."
Pirates aren't so easily obedient. Mr. Kuro's request was for Katakuri to go to Wano Country alone, but they are pirates, how could they really listen to Mr. Kuro? Even Mr. Kuro himself doesn't believe it, so he sent him here early to embarrass this newly formed Big Mom Pirates.
Kuro was surprised that Katakuri actually came up alone. But upon reflection, it made sense.
Mr. Nakakuro, even Big Mom herself was killed. For pirates, who wouldn't be afraid of him?
Led by Kuro, Katakuri headed towards the castle tower of the Flower Capital. They soon arrived at their destination, entered through the gate, and walked up the stairs and steps to a luxurious shoji screen door. Kuro pulled back the screen, lowered his head slightly, and went inside.
Katakuri followed closely behind and stepped into the spacious and luxurious hall. Inside the hall, there were people dressed in the traditional clothing of Wano Country, as well as some Marines standing ramrod straight. On the steps in front of the hall, there was a futon with a reclining chair, and a person was sitting on the futon, writing something with a brush.
"Hey, Kuro, are you even capable?"
Beside that person, a little white-haired girl said with slight dissatisfaction, "Your writing is so ugly."
"What do you mean 'ugly'! This is cursive script, do you understand cursive script?!"
