Leaving aside the inner thoughts of those idiots in Marineford, Kuro finally arrived at the holy land of Mary Geoise after a night of travel.
Although he was sent flying by the bear, it doesn't seem like the bear slapped him from a straight line, otherwise the old man wouldn't have been able to get there in a whole day.
"Let's rest in Mary Geoise for a while."
Kizaru glanced at Chrollo's injuries and offered his advice.
"Um..."
Kuro nodded; he was indeed finding it hard to take it anymore.
Strictly speaking, apart from eating something in 'Nine Serpents Town' before, he hasn't had a drop of water in the past few days.
They also fought two battles, especially the one with Kaido, which was extremely intense.
I'm exhausted and hungry. I need to finish my treatment quickly and then find a place to eat.
The two fell from the sky, and Kuro waved his hand, sending two swords following behind them.
"I'm losing so much money."
Kuro clicked his tongue. After the fight, all the remaining supplies except for the seawater were used up, and he didn't dare to go to the New World to retrieve them.
"I need to collect them again; I knew that little bit wouldn't be enough," Kuro thought to himself.
Mary Geoise was a little different at this time. There were quite a few Marines in the Golden Palace. When Kizaru beckoned, a major hesitated for a moment before walking over.
"Admiral Kizaru!" he saluted and said.
"This is Lieutenant Colonel Kuro, my subordinate. You shall follow his orders. I shall take my leave now."
Kizaru said to Kuro, "Kuro, you should rest and recuperate in Mary Geoise for a while. Granny Tsuru should be here. After that, you can go to headquarters with Granny Tsuru."
With that, he waved his hand, turned and left, saying, "I have to go back and make arrangements; I don't have much time here."
"I understand, sir, you can go ahead now."
Kuro nodded vigorously.
"By the way, Major Job, keep an eye on him. Don't let him out of your sight. Make sure he follows Grandma Crane to her side."
Before leaving, Kizaru suddenly said something to the major.
"Yes, Admiral Kizaru." The major saluted again.
These words made Kuro's face instantly fall.
Did this old guy see through my thinking?
He originally intended to linger in Mary Geoise.
Seeing Kizaru leave, Major Job looked at Kuro, whose face was grim, and cautiously asked, "Lieutenant Colonel Kuro?"
"What are you standing there for? Can't you see I'm covered in wounds? Take me to the medical room, and also, find me suitable scabbards for these two swords."
Kuro glared at him, then reached out and took off his tattered navy cloak, along with the broken gold earrings on his earlobes, and tossed them to Job along with [Sakura Ten] and [Kori].
"Bring me another set of clothes. My earrings are broken too. Mary Geoise should have some nice handicrafts, get me a pair. Also, get me a box of the best cigars."
"Yes, Lieutenant Colonel! Please follow me!"
Major Job held his cloak, the earrings and twin swords on it, and straightened his legs as he spoke to Kuro.
Then he took Kuro to the medical room so that the doctor could examine and treat him.
Kuro's injuries were indeed quite severe. His skull was fractured, several ribs were cracked, and his internal organs were slightly displaced. He had both external and internal injuries.
This is the 'spoils' I obtained after the battle with Kaido.
Besides being covered in injuries, he gained nothing and even wasted all his inventory.
The treatment lasted all morning. Kuro sat on the bed while several nurses wrapped bandages around his head. One nurse was wrapping his forehead with a faint fragrance.
"Miss, do you have time tonight?" Kuro looked up at her.
The nurse covered her mouth and chuckled: "I'm already married, Lieutenant Colonel Kuro."
"Wouldn't that be even more... Ah, no, never mind then."
Kuro suddenly changed his mind because Major Job suddenly appeared, accompanied by several marines. The marines were carrying clothes, a cloak, earrings, a sword sheathed, and a box of cigars.
Kuro waved to the navy officer holding a cigar, who immediately opened his cigar box, took out a cigar, carefully put it in Kuro's mouth, and then lit it for him with a lighter.
"call..."
Kuro took a puff of his cigar, letting the smoke linger in his mouth for a moment before exhaling.
He hadn't smoked for days and was really craving it.
"Ugh, Lieutenant Colonel, you can't smoke here."
The nurse tightened the bandage on Kuro's head, waved a cigarette, and said with a smile, "It's all bandaged now."
"What does it matter? I'm the only patient." Kuro smiled and looked at the clothes.
“Let us help you put it on, Lieutenant Colonel Kuro.”
The nurse chuckled, took the clothes, and together with the other nurses, helped Kuro put them on.
After Kuro was dressed in a shirt, leather shoes, and a gold suit, two nurses each held a brand-new earring and tightened it around Kuro's earlobes.
At this moment, Kuro stood up and had a nurse drape a navy cloak over his shoulders.
"Wow, that's really handsome, Lieutenant Colonel Kuro."
After they were dressed, the nurses stepped back a few paces, some of them with shining eyes.
Kuro casually picked up a mirror and looked at himself. Above the neat and wrinkle-free gold suit was a face that resembled someone from his past life. Although there was a bandage on his forehead, he did not look injured at all. Instead, he looked more cold and aloof.
He's handsome, that's all!
Kuro has always been very satisfied with his appearance.
He beckoned the navy to bring him his two swords, which he then hung at his waist along with his own "Autumn Water".
