Kuro narrowed his eyes, a dangerous glint in them.
"It seems...we could pull off something like this."
Kuro reached out and slowly touched the hilt of the sword.
"Fire Fist!"
A huge ball of fire shot straight towards them.
Lida instantly transformed into a young girl, her hands covered in Armament Haki and crossed, blocking Kuro's path.
The flames exploded from her hands, spreading outwards and forming a wall of fire that obscured everyone's view.
"flame?!"
Lida was startled, and after a moment of sensing, she said, "Kuro, they've escaped!"
"Um..."
Kuro drew [Hanashu] and with a single swing, the resulting wind pressure extinguished the flames, and the two figures were nowhere to be seen.
"They ran away... Oh well, if they ran away, they ran away."
Kuro smacked his lips and gave up on his idea.
It's better that they ran away; it saves us trouble.
"Nature type..."
Lida realized what was going on and said with some doubt, "Fire, a natural element... it looks familiar."
“You guessed right, that’s Portgas D. Ace, the second division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates,” Kuro said.
Lida's eyes widened. "That super rookie pirate who became famous two years ago? 'Fire Fist' Ace?!"
"I... have I gotten myself into trouble? Will Ace hold a grudge? If he's targeting me, then Whitebeard will be targeting me too."
Lida looked like she was about to cry.
After all, he came from the Grand Line, and everyone knows how terrifying Whitebeard is.
Kuro initially thought it was quite troublesome, but seeing Lida's terrified expression, he smiled and patted her head. "You were personally recruited by me. I promised to keep you safe, and I will keep you safe. If he doesn't come, fine. If he does come, we'll just capture him!"
His fear of trouble doesn't mean he's truly afraid of problems.
If that's the case, we can just start the Marineford War ahead of schedule!
