As the warship drew closer, Kuro could finally make out the person standing on the bow. The old man had short purple hair, not as upright as Kuro remembered, and wore a pair of very refined glasses. He was quite burly, with a heavy mechanical arm on his right arm. From there, Kuro sensed an unsettling aura.
It's probably inlaid with sea stone, and there's probably quite a lot of it.
Amidst the vibrant energy, Kuro keenly sensed an underlying sense of stagnation.
"Is that Zephyr...?"
Kro looked over and swallowed hard. "He really is an extraordinary person."
His Observation Haki has also improved recently. Now that Zephyr is so close, although he can't sense exactly how strong Zephyr is, his strength is undeniable.
The kind that could easily beat him.
Kuro was somewhat aware of Zephyr's deeds, after all, they were from the same system. The reason he didn't want to join the elite camp was because Zephyr stopped teaching.
However, it's now estimated that Garp will take over the training camp.
Zephyr, now seventy-two years old, led a training camp of new recruits seven years ago when they were ambushed by pirates. Only two of the recruits on the ship survived, and he lost an arm. Two years ago, he was fitted with that mechanical arm and formed the 'Pirate Guerrilla Team' to hunt pirates everywhere.
However, this guerrilla force is currently still under the naval jurisdiction, essentially an independent naval unit.
After all, he is a former admiral, a retired man, who is essentially just holding a nominal position in the navy, and no one can stop him from doing whatever he wants.
The warship docked, and a figure jumped out first.
"Ain, are you alright?"
The man had a handsome pink hairstyle and a slender figure, but his sausage lips ruined his good looks. He was also wearing a cloak and quickly ran to Ain's side, asking worriedly.
“When your teacher and I saw that there was a problem with your life certificate, we rushed over immediately.”
"I'm fine."
Ain shook her head and said to him, "Colonel Kuro saved me."
"Colonel Kuro?"
The man looked over and bowed to Kuro. "Thank you so much for saving Ain. My name is Binz, and I'm a captain at headquarters!"
"Ah...we're all colleagues, it was nothing." Kuro waved his hand.
Kuro didn't quite remember this person, but he vaguely recalled that he was one of the only two people who survived in Zephyr's recruit camp.
"Kuro? Lucilfer Kuro?"
A hoarse, yet somewhat bold voice rang out.
The purple-haired old man on the bow of the ship spoke, then jumped off the bow and landed on the ground, smiling at Kuro, "I've often heard Kuzan mention you, Borsalano's subordinate? Hmm... you don't seem like him, not someone who relies too much on his abilities."
"Mr. Zephyr truly has discerning eyes!"
Kuro was delighted to hear this and gave him a thumbs up, saying, "I'm nothing like the old man."
Who said he looks like Kizaru? They clearly don't. I'm so handsome, and the old man is so sleazy, how could we possibly look alike?
“Professor Zephyr, please be careful. The pirates here are too powerful, and the weather is also very strange. Mr. Kuro just said that weapons were rained down here, and they wiped out all the pirates in the town,” Ain said solemnly.
"Disarm? Really?" Binz asked in surprise.
"Um?"
Zephyr glanced at Kuro, shook his head and smiled. Then, looking at the pirate corpses, he said, "Wasn't this a bit too much?"

Kuro glanced at Zephyr's mechanical arm and said nonchalantly.

From the past to the present, the Navy has always upheld the principle of 'benevolent justice,' with Zephyr and Momonga being the most representative examples.
Momonga upholds this sense of justice, rarely killing pirates he catches. He believes that pirates need to be tried and convicted through the laws of Enies Lobby, while the Navy is only responsible for arresting them.
Zephyr, who taught this sense of justice, was known as "Never Kills." He had never killed a pirate, and Kuro never smelled a trace of blood on him.
There is a complete difference between someone who has killed someone and someone who has never killed someone.
"Haha, I actually got advised by the younger generation."
Zephyr smiled, walked past Kuro, and headed towards the town. He stopped in front of a dead pirate, bowed his head, and instinctively covered the mechanical arm, whispering, "Even now, I still don't regret my sense of justice."
He turned to look at Kuro, "Young, but lacking in energy, like an old bastard, and like Borsalino, not keen on causing trouble, no, even more so."
"His sense of justice... I don't know if it's strong or weak, but his style of doing things is reminiscent of Sakazuki."
"But there are clearly many pirates on this island, yet you only focus on this town you see. It's a bit lazy, and it has a bit of a Kuzan vibe."
"Xiaohe said you are 'safe justice,' but I don't know if that's true. It's complicated, young man."
This old man...
Kuro raised an eyebrow. As expected of someone who had taught so many famous Marines, his ability to see through people at a glance was extraordinary.
Zephyr stepped over the pirate corpses, looked at the group of ragged civilians huddled together, and frowned. "Pirates..."
"Teacher Zephyr! There's a huge crisis on this island! Over three thousand pirates have gathered here. We must rescue the civilians on the island as soon as possible!" Ain said urgently.
"Have you found out anything, Ain?" Zephyr asked.
“I’m sorry, Professor Zephyr, I only found out the name of their leader. It’s a pirate alliance gathered on this island, and the leader is called Hernando.” Ain lowered his head.
