In my memory, when was the village at its most prosperous period?
That was thirty years ago, before the Luo family arrived.
Although the surrounding land still followed the same rules at that time, their village had a large population. Everyone could not only eat their fill by farming every day, but also sell the surplus food to the town.
But ever since the Luo family came, the number of people in their village has been steadily decreasing.
Those people, those smiling people, slowly faded from his memory.
The village has gradually fallen into ruin, becoming what it is now.
Back then, everyone was still alive, he could still farm, and the boys could help him.
Until the wild boar appeared.
The wild boar trampled the fields, and no matter how carefully he planted the seeds or how meticulously he tended them, the wild boar would always arrive precisely just before they sprouted.
Shangtu had grown crops before, but every time they sprouted, that wild boar would come and destroy the village's fields.
Later, Kikyo grew up and used her bow and arrows to keep the wild boars from rushing into the village, but she only protected the village from being damaged; the fields could not be saved.
Time and time again, the seeds were planted in the soil, just like the hope in his heart, which would never be extinguished. One day, the seeds in the soil would sprout.
Even if...
"Come on, you beast!!!"
Shangtu ran to the field, pointed his hoe forward, and roared, "I will not give in! Even if it costs me my life, I will stop you!"
If Kikyo faints, then he will step in. Even if he is old and weak, he will protect this field.
"Don't underestimate this old guy!" Shangtu laughed loudly.
Thump!
A tremendous tremor resounded ahead.
Knock knock knock knock!
The sounds gradually intensified, and in the darkness, a massive shadow, bathed in moonlight, rose a plume of dust from the ground.
It was a huge wild boar, its protruding tusks gleaming coldly in the moonlight, its four hooves raised as it ran forward.
On the wild boar's back was a strange clump of grass that looked like wild vegetables, gleaming slightly.
'Natural Wind', a wondrous sight in the insect kingdom.
Just as the wild boar charged forward, several people appeared on the hillside behind it.
"Mr. Yixiao, thank you for your trouble."
Sabo looked down at the wild boar surging across the wilderness and said in a deep voice, "This guy is one of the culprits that has caused the people of the Insect Kingdom to go hungry. It's too fast for us to catch. If it were Mr. Ichisho's ability, there would definitely be no problem."
Beside him, Kerla and the crow stood watching the large wild boar.
"Hey, Sabo, there's an old man over there," Kelra said urgently.
"Please act quickly, Mr. Yixiao!"
"Um..."
Yi Xiao closed his eyes, held his sword upright in front of him, his right hand gripping it. Just as he was about to draw his sword, he suddenly paused and said, "To repay the kindness of a meal, I agreed to help you deal with the beasts that are causing trouble in the Insect Kingdom. However... I cannot repay this kindness for the time being."
"Mr. Yixiao?"
Sabo glanced at Yixiao and saw that he was hesitant to make a move. With the wild boar almost reaching the field, Sabo gritted his teeth, quickly jumped down from the mountain, and ran straight towards the wild boar.
"Damn it, it's too late!"
At his own speed, he couldn't catch up with the wild boar at all.
If he could catch up with it, he wouldn't have let the wild boar run around.
Now, it's too late!
call!
Just as Sabo charged forward, a huge golden slash shot into the sky from the village, heading straight for the giant boar. The slash struck the boar's head, stopping its running.
The light of the slash shone brightly all around, like a moon fallen to earth, staring at the boar's massive body and causing it to keep retreating.
"Awooo!!!"
BOOM!!!
The slash disappeared on the wild boar's head. The boar let out a miserable howl, a puff of smoke rose from its head, its eyes rolled back, and its huge body collapsed.
"The wind of nature..."
Ueto stared blankly at the fallen wild boar, then turned around and saw Kuro walking over leisurely, holding a black knife in one hand.
"Old man, there's no need to show any determination. Just keep those thoughts to yourself."
Kuro bent his other little finger and picked at his ear as he said:
"Do you know what 'FLAG' means? It means that some words, once spoken, will have the opposite effect. For example, if a soldier on the battlefield says, 'I'll go back and get married after this battle,' he usually won't be able to go back to the battlefield. Even if he does go back, his fiancée might belong to someone else, and even if he gets married, the children might not be his own."
"The terrifying effect comes from speaking your mind. So, don't speak carelessly, especially at your age, it's easy for something bad to happen."
"Sir Navy officer..."
Ueto stared blankly as he approached, then looked incredulously at the wild boar lying in the distance. "'Natural Wind,' has it fallen?"
"Can't your eyes see?"
Kuro clicked his tongue. "I wonder where this thing came from that knocked it out. Speaking of which, its skin is pretty thick. It must be of good quality. I'll peel it off and use it to decorate my house later."
"Lu, Lusilu Kuro!"
Sabo, standing behind, narrowed his eyes and exclaimed, "How did you get here!"
"Let's go back and continue eating." Kuro acted as if he hadn't heard him, put away the Autumn Water, and walked back.
