Chapter 356 Can there really be a crown prince for sixty years?

A few days later, the Pegasus Marines had become familiar with Donald and Kikyo, and after their initial surprise subsided, they discovered some interesting things.

Kikyo is still as goddess-like and gentle as ever, but Donald... seems to be having some bad luck.

He would choke on fish bones or other bones that came out of nowhere while eating, get hit by flowerpots or fruit pits that came out of nowhere while walking, and even while sleeping, he would sometimes inexplicably catch a fire, causing his colleagues to keep their distance from Donald.

This person is having some bad luck...

Kuro seemed rather amused by this.

Bad luck, bad luck is good.

If you're unlucky enough to be sent on a mission, you're bound to do a bad job.

"Why hasn't that idiot Cass come back yet?"

Inside the office, Kuro waited for several days but still hadn't received any news of Cass's return, and said somewhat irritably.

"Maybe the pirates haven't been completely wiped out yet. That guy is like that; he won't stop until things are completely cleaned up," said Kuro from the side.

“That’s enough. He should be back. Crowe, you take the team out and bring Kikyo and Donald with you. Find an opportunity to promote them so they can lead the team in the future.”

“Yes, I understand,” Chloe said, adjusting her glasses.

"Boom boom boom..."

Just then, the Den Den Mushi on the table suddenly rang.

Kuro picked up the receiver, and the Den Den Mushi transformed into a bearded man.

"Colonel Kuro!" The Den Den Mushi spoke steadily, and the joy in the voice made Kuro's heart skip a beat.

What's wrong? What weird thing did you catch this time?

"Cass, what's wrong?" Kuro asked through gritted teeth.

"There is something I need to report to you. The old king of the Twin Horse Kingdom has died," a deep voice said from the Den Den Mushi.

"You did this?" That was Kuro's first reaction.

"Of course not. The old king died of natural causes, and the new king has ascended the throne. He wants to invite you to the coronation ceremony of the new king of the Twin Horses Kingdom, and asked me to pass on a message to you," the Den Den Mushi said.

Seeing that Cass seemed to have gotten away with nothing, Kuro breathed a sigh of relief.

"A new king has ascended the throne?"

He pondered for a moment and said, "Alright, I'll bring people over to witness the ceremony. Just reply to him like that."

"Yes, Colonel Kuro!"

After hanging up the phone, Kuro stroked his chin and muttered, "A new king ascends the throne? What does he want?"

“Mr. Kuro, you are the only naval captain stationed in this area, and this island used to belong to the Twin Horse Kingdom, so of course they would invite you.”

Kro thought for a moment and said, "I've also heard about the Kingdom of Two Horses. It's said that the old king lived too long. When he was young, the Kingdom of Two Horses was at its peak, but when he got old, his mind became sluggish, which led to the war and the loss of Pegasus Island."

"The old king ascended the throne at the age of eight and had a child in his twenties. He reigned for eighty years, and that prince waited for sixty years. It's no wonder that people wanted us to attend the ceremony."

Kuro's expression turned strange after hearing this.

Good heavens, how can there be a crown prince for sixty years?

"Could they be renaming the Royal Army as the Royal Army?" Kuro asked curiously.

"Uh, I don't know," Kro said, somewhat puzzled.

He couldn't understand the significance of the name change; weren't they all the same?

"Alright, let's get ready, notify everyone, and then we'll go to the ceremony," Kuro nodded.

"Aren't you going to leave anyone to guard the area?" Kro asked.

"Not for now. Ever since that idiot Cass went out, I haven't seen any pirates, or even anyone with a slightly fierce appearance. It should be safe for now. Just leave the basic team to guard the area. The rest of you can go and take a break." Kuro thought for a moment and said.

"Twin Horse Kingdom? It's so close, I've never been there before. There must be lots of delicious food." Lida, who was eating snacks, twitched her ears and said with an expectant expression.

What she was eating at that moment was a small piece of jerky made from bellflower root, which was very flavorful.

"Eat, eat, all you ever do is eat! Can't you ever think about anything for once?!" Kuro glared at her.

"Barbecue? What barbecue?" Lida asked instinctively.

Kuro: "..."

Is it because I spent too much time with Kikyo that I caught it?

"Boom boom boom..."

The Den Den Mushi rang again.

Kuro smirked and impatiently took the item. "Cass, what else is there?!"

"Oh~ Kuro, you sound upset. Is something bothering you?"

The Den Den Mushi transforms into a lewd middle-aged man with heavy, flirtatious eyes and a pouting mouth.

"Old man?" Kuro was taken aback.

"Well, I've been free lately, so I'm going to patrol your area and bring Sazir to you while I'm at it," Kizaru said.

“Sazil? Oh, right, he’s coming back. You want to come over? Okay, then come on over.”

Kuro and Kizaru exchanged pleasantries for a while, then Kuro hung up the phone and said to Kuro, "The old man is coming in three days, so get ready."

"Admiral Kizaru? I understand." Kuro nodded solemnly.

That's Admiral Kizaru! When an admiral visits an island, it needs to be handled with high protocol.

Three days later, a huge warship approached the port.

At the port, the entire navy was mobilized, with Kuro leading the way, standing tall and straight to welcome Admiral Kizaru.

Soon, the warship docked, and Kizaru, wearing a yellow suit with a sweater underneath, a cape, and glasses, walked over with his hands in his pockets, swaying slightly.

"Oh~ Kuro, long time no see." Kizaru said in surprise when he saw Kuro in the lead. "You seem to have grown quite a bit taller."
