The guardian ape that had withstood countless attacks yet remained alive finally died.
Or rather, it was meant to die; it was only able to move because of its intense desire to accomplish something.
Does it make people laugh?
Kuro stared blankly at the Guardian Ape, who remained in its stance even in death, and sighed softly, "You did it, you won."
At that moment, he suddenly understood something.
The terrorist attack that they themselves created, while instilling fear in people, can still make them laugh, whether it's laughter or mockery, it relaxes people's minds, that's its purpose.
"That's it, you win, but due to my position, I can't let you off the hook."
Kuro spoke slowly to the towering, majestic ape.
From the moment it decides to create terror, if Kuro doesn't see it, fine; but if he does see it, then he'll get involved.
Such a guy wouldn't reveal his final wish until the very last moment. If Kuro hadn't seen it, even if he had killed Old K, he would have vented his unwarranted anger on the humans of the Twin Horse Kingdom. By then, it would have been too late to intervene.
But we must show basic respect for the existence of such willpower.
It is precisely because of the existence of people with such strong willpower that waves are stirred up on the high seas, causing headaches for the world government and the navy.
"Kuro, look, it's changed!"
At this moment, Lida walked over and pointed at the gorilla in surprise.
Clang!
The naginata fell off and landed on the ground with a crisp sound.
The towering ape was slowly shrinking, transforming into a golden lion, before collapsing with a crash.
"Oh! A lion!"
Old K walked over at this moment and said, "How dare you scare me! I'm going to skin it and use it as decoration!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly felt a chill all over his body.
Kuro flicked his finger, and the broken stone ball rolled back over, causing the ground around the lion to churn up as well. The rubble gathered around the lion, enveloping it and forming a huge base. On the base, the rubble continued to coalesce, forming a sculpture that was exactly the same as the lion ape in the previous pose.
The naginata flew up again, was caught by the sculpture, and was carried on its shoulder.
A lifelike Kabuki Lion Monkey stands on this street.
"This is my spoils of war."
Kuro said to Old K, "I have the right to dispose of it, but I feel good leaving it here. I'm sure you'll give me face, right? I'm a Marine Headquarters Captain, and I'm directly under an Admiral. You should give me that face, right?"
That look sent a chill down Old K's spine; he felt that if he said no, the consequences would be dire.
“Of course, Colonel Kuro, do as you please,” Old K stammered.
"唷!!"
Suddenly, a cry came from the sky behind them. Kuro turned around and saw the birds in the sky flapping and flying towards the crowd.
The beasts that had been scattered by Cass and his men on the ground regrouped.
The gorilla's imposing presence had kept them at bay, but now that it was dead, the beasts' fervor overcame their innate fear, and they began to go berserk.
Kuro looked at them, his right hand gripping the hilt of his sword, a hint of coldness creeping into his eyes.
Please don't!
Seeing this, Fanny cried out urgently, "They can be saved! I know what's wrong with them! I can save them!"
Kuro seemed not to hear him, and with a wave of his right hand, black light burst forth as he swung his sword forward.
"How could this be... I can save him."
Fanny slumped down, saying with a hint of despair.
She had already witnessed the strength of this navy; no matter how many beasts there were, they would not pose any threat to him.
"Collapse".
With a single slash, Kuro uttered softly.
Boom!!!
The murderous aura was so palpable that it lunged at the wild beasts of the world.
The wild beasts paused, then collapsed one by one, and the birds in the sky rolled their eyes and all fell down.
If they could be intimidated by the imposing presence of the gibbon, then it's only natural that they would be trembling at its murderous aura.
Click.
Kuro sheathed his sword, then asked Fanny, "What happened to them?"
Fanny perked up and stood up, replying, "My potion? A year ago, I lost a packet of potions, including one that could enhance life, but the side effect was that it would put them into a frenzied state. I guess the Gorilla found it and used it on these beasts."
Upon hearing this, Kuro said with a strange expression, "Enhances life force? And causes madness? Isn't that a berserker? Is that a side effect?"
So it turns out you're still a genuine 'witch' after all.
That makes sense. The Lion Ape is only a Zoan-type Devil Fruit user and doesn't seem to be a Mythical Zoan type. It doesn't possess any other abilities, and its appearance suggests it's an ape or something similar. Plus, it can speak human language, so it must be an ape-man.
The lions have acquired human wisdom, and combined with their ability to communicate with animals, it is easy for them to gather wild beasts. With the addition of medicine, they can achieve a gathering of all kinds of animals.
"Can you make an antidote?" Kuro asked.
Fanny nodded. "Give me a day, that will do."
"Just one day..."
Kuro nodded, then turned to Old K and said, "Hey, I'm tired. Find me a place to rest."
"Ah...okay, okay."
Old K realized what was happening and quickly instructed the officials to take Kuro and the others to rest.
