Sag stared blankly at the person who had suddenly appeared. "You are..."
"Someone's here to meddle."
Barber looked Kuro up and down and said, "Outsiders must follow the rules. Go hunting in other places. The palace and the mines are forbidden areas. People like you are not allowed to get close. We had an agreement on this long ago, didn't we?"
"I don't recall making any such agreement with you. As for agreements, go find the person who made the agreement."
Kuro shrugged and said something.
He looked around. Apart from the boy who reacted to his presence, everyone else was still working numbly.
He was quite certain that this open-pit mine was only occupied by this supervisor; there wasn't even a single soldier.
Even after all this, they still aren't resisting...
Is this country so decadent?
Or is it...?
It really did become a hunting ground.
"It's annoying."
Kuro clicked his tongue, then with a flick of his hand, he grabbed the whip and lashed it out, trying to shake off the ugly, pig-like man.
However, at that moment, Barber released his whip and quickly threw a punch at Kuro.
"I told you, mind your own business, you pirate!"
Bang!
The fist flew out, causing Kuro's pupils to shrink, and he instinctively took a step back. He exclaimed in surprise, "Haki? Hey, you?"
The fat man's fist was enveloped in a domineering aura.
Moreover, judging from his expertise, he seems to be quite accomplished.
"Oh? You can see the domineering aura, huh? You understand too."
Barber stretched out his fists, which were covered with a layer of almost greenish-black color, and his domineering aura extended all the way to his elbows.
He grinned maliciously and said, "So, mind your own business!"
"Hey, you'd better get out of here!"
Sag shouted, "Don't come here! Others have come here before, but Minister Barber killed them all. You are no match for him. This place... is hopeless!"
Thump!
As soon as Sager finished speaking, Barber, a man the size of an elephant, leaped into the air, his foot leaving a deep footprint in the mined rock. He threw a punch at Kuro, roaring, "Who gave you permission to speak! Sager!!"
Bang!!!
The earth shattered from the punch, and the shockwave blasted away Sag, sending him flying and rolling several times on the ground.
"Not bad, you managed to dodge my attacks. Strange, why would a pirate like you come to this island like those trash?"
Barber withdrew his fist from the shattered ground and looked inquisitively at Kuro, who had dodged the attack.
"This guy..."
Kuro frowned as he looked at the ground that had been smashed into a large crater. "So strong, yet instead of driving out those pirates, you're oppressing your own people. You're quite the oddball."
"Just lowly commoners who won't fight back!"
Barber clenched his fists, cracking them, and looked disdainfully at the people still mining. He sneered, "The purpose of these people's existence is simply to bring pleasure to His Highness and me. That's all!"
He spread his arms, revealing a set of white teeth, and laughed loudly into the downpour: "Fun! Life is the best! Watching them become prey without resistance, living in fear every day, is the most fun! It's a pity that no one resisted; if they had, it would have been even more fun!"
"Really..."
Kuro's eyes darkened, and he gripped the hilt of his sword. "Hopeless."
call!
A gentle breeze stirred up amidst the downpour.
when! !
In that instant, Barber's pupils contracted, and he abruptly crossed his arms in front of him. With a crisp sound, a burst of sparks flew from his arms.
Kuro appeared behind him, surprised, "Observation Haki? Your skill is quite impressive, and you seem very calm. Strange..."
It's very strange.
Someone like that shouldn't have such great strength.
Moreover, it's strange that someone like that can maintain such composure during a fight.
If someone is strong in a single type of Armament Haki, that's understandable, but if they are strong in both types of Haki, that's puzzling.
This intensity...
Although they had just clashed, Kuro was certain that if this guy were a Marine, he would at least be a Vice Admiral.
The new world is truly full of wonders.
"The more this happens, the more annoyed I get..."
Kuro, holding Shusui, turned around and said, "People like you really have a lot of annoying quirks."
"I never expected that such a meddlesome person would come."
Barber sneered, "A man like you actually goes hunting? This world is truly rotten!"
As he spoke, a murderous intent flashed in his eyes.
Thump!
He lowered his body slightly, like a hunter about to burst forth, and with his legs straightened, he sprang from his spot like a spring, rushing towards Kuro.
"Go to hell, you scum!" he snarled.
Kuro closed his eyes slightly, and with two fingers he swept towards the autumn water, scattering a golden light under the torrential rain.
"You're trash yourself, yet you call others trash? I... have no respect for people like you."
brush!
Facing the rapidly charging Barber, Kuro did not dodge. He gripped Shusui with both hands, took a step forward, and dodged Barber's attacking fist by turning his body to the side. At the same time, Shusui slashed down, bringing a golden light to his body.
"The Unknown God's Romantic Killing Sword - Flood Dragon".
A flash of golden light, and Kuro and Barber passed each other. The latter landed on the ground, turned around, his face stiff, and said, "You..."
"Oh? You noticed it? Your Observation Haki is indeed quite good."
