Chapter 53 I'm Just a Navy Guy

"Kadi Fram".

Lucci turned around and said calmly, "So you escaped? It seems you've defeated everyone in those carriages."

"I'm going to kill you, Tin Skin!"

Nero struggled to his feet and said to Lucci, "Oh, sorry, I didn't even have time to say hello before you witnessed such an embarrassing scene. Wait... wait until I kill these two people, then I'll introduce them to you."

"Who is this?" Lucci looked down at him.

"His name seems to be Nero, a newcomer," Kalifa said after glancing at him.

“Rookie...you must have made a mistake. Our mission is to bring back Nico Robin and Cardi Flam safely. You idiot, you’re letting your emotions cloud your judgment and can’t tell what’s important. You’re not even as good as those three Marines over there.”

"?"

Kuro, smoking a cigar, looked up. What did this have to do with them?

"Well, never mind, I'll give you three seconds."

"What do you mean... Wait, wait a minute!"

Nero realized Lucci's intention and hurriedly used his shave to run away, but he was no match for Lucci and was quickly caught up. A finger gun pierced through his back, and then he was kicked out of the window and fell into the sea.

"Kalifa, report back to your superiors that the new recruits are too weak and useless," Lucci said, retracting his bloodied finger.

"Understood." Kalifa nodded.

"Smoke bomb!"

Just then, Usopp threw out another smoke bomb, filling the entire carriage with thick smoke.

Usopp carried Robin and passed right through Kuro and the other two who were already seated.

"Nice!"

Sanji and Franky gave a thumbs up.

"This kind of move..."

Karu covered his mouth and nose, annoyed, "This is so boring!"

One trick is all you need to succeed.

Whether it's boring or not, as long as it's useful, that's fine.

As the smoke cleared, Usopp and his crew disappeared into the first carriage, and Lucci and his group gave chase.

In the first carriage, only Kuro and a few others remained.

"Aren't we going to do anything about it?" Kro asked.

Kuro shook his head: "Our mission ends here. Don't meddle in other people's business. Once we get to Enies Lobby, it'll be none of our concern."

It's not his task, why should he bother?

Moreover, Bruno's abilities will prevent them from escaping.

Sure enough, a short while later, Bruno, with Franky and Robin under his guard, returned to the first carriage.

...

"World Government, Navy, I will never forgive you, absolutely not!"

Franky continued shouting inside the carriage.

“Hey, if you want to criticize the World Government, go ahead and criticize the World Government. What does it have to do with our Navy? We didn’t arrest you.” Kuro said, puffing on his cigar.

"Shut up, you little navy kid!"

Franky roared and threw a punch at Kuro.

"Frankie, no!" Robin cried out urgently.

There's a great swordsman watching over there, so we absolutely can't make a move!

when!

The Espada blocked Franky's fist. Kuro appeared in front of Kuro, blocking the fist, and couldn't help but take a step back, exclaiming in surprise, "Iron?"

"I'm a cyborg, of course I'm made of iron!"

Franky roared and swung his other hand at the same time.

"Stop arguing, it's too noisy."

Just then, Lida appeared in front of Franky and reached out with one hand. However, she froze for a moment, then suddenly transformed into a young girl and pushed Franky away with a palm, sending him crashing into the opposite carriage.

“It’s not working…” Lida looked at her hand in astonishment.

"He's a cyborg; apart from his head, he's no longer a living being. Of course, your abilities are useless to him," Kuro said calmly.

Robin gritted her teeth, crossed her arms, and numerous arms appeared on Kuro's body, seizing his vital points.

"Get out! We don't need you here! Otherwise, you'll teach your companions a lesson!"

The atmosphere fell silent for a moment.

Lida and Kro both looked at Kuro, instinctively stepping aside to make way for him.

It wasn't that she was afraid of Robin's threat, absolutely not, but rather that she had become entangled with something far more terrifying.

"What happened?"

Robin keenly perceived this; she wasn't stupid. Twenty years of hiding in XZ had honed her exceptionally sharp observation skills.

The look in the eyes of the swordsman Kuro, whom she considered a great swordsman, seemed to say, 'You have real courage.'

The woman, who was clearly a superhuman, also gave herself a thumbs up.

Wait... Kro doesn't have a knife.

The knife was on that man.

"Eye Sword".

Kuro glanced at her, and Robin groaned, hugged herself, took several steps back, and squatted down.

His arms, too, turned into flower petals and vanished.

"you!"

Franky stood up, raised his hands high together, and slammed them down in a fist.

"There are too many flaws."

Bang!

Kuro simply swung a punch, which dented into Franky's chest. Franky gagged and clutched his chest, curling up on the ground.

"Cyborgs feel pain too..."

Kuro glanced at him sideways, then kicked Franky, sending him sprawling to the ground.

Robin looked up, panting, and asked, "So you're the great swordsman praised by Hawkeye, hiding for so long without becoming famous. What's your purpose?"

Kuro plopped down on Franky's back, pulled out another cigar, and lit it for himself.

"Don't think of people as so dark, Nico Robin. I'll say it again, I'm just a Marine, I have no ambition or purpose."

Honestly, I don't really want to get involved in your affairs, so you can pretend you don't know me, and we can go to Enies Lobby peacefully. After all, what grudge do we Marines have against you? You're a pirate, I'm a Marine, isn't it only natural for me to keep an eye on you?"
