The warship gradually entered the port and came to a stop. As the warship dropped anchor, a staircase descended from the gap on the side of the warship.
tread...
Kuro stepped onto the stairs, a cigar dangling from his lips, and slowly walked down.
Lida and Clot followed closely behind, bringing a group of navy personnel as they descended from above.
"Yo, Smoker, Tashigi, long time no see."
Kuro greeted the two men and casually swiped a cigar from the chest of their jackets.
"Ah, Vice Admiral Kuro, it's been a long time," Tashigi said politely.
"Hey, you bastard! When are you going to change this habit of yours!" Smoker glared at Kuro.
"Ah...sorry, I just happened to be carrying it."
Kuro, without a hint of apology, stuffed the cigar into his pocket. "Well then, headquarters sent me to you. I've arrived. Now tell me what you've discovered."
The intelligence was leaked by Smoker, the suspicious points were discovered by Smoker, and the order to request support from headquarters was also secretly requested by Smoker.
If he doesn't go to Smoker, who else can he go to?
“This isn’t the place to talk. Come to my office,” Smoker said, glancing at his subordinates.
"Alright, let's go then..."
Kuro nodded and prepared to follow Smoker to his office.
"Hey, are you just going to leave like that? Ignoring us?"
Suddenly, a voice rang out from among the G-5 Marines. A burly man grinned and said to Kuro, enunciating each word clearly, "Vice Admiral Jinni."
"Hey, you guys!"
Tashigi said angrily, "Lieutenant General Kuro and Mr. Smoker have something to talk about, don't cause trouble."
These words instantly softened the menacing marines, who stuck out their tongues and their eyes turned into hearts. "Ah... Miss Tashigi is so cute today too."
"Miss Tashigi, I love you!"
"Miss Tashigi, marry me!"
"you..."
Tashigi pushed up her glasses and said, "Don't cause trouble. And how many times have I told you, call me Colonel Tashigi!"
"Yes, Miss Tashigi."
"Understood, Miss Tashigi."
The G-5 naval members were talking amongst themselves when the burly man who had spoken first stepped forward, blocking Kuro's path. He was about Kuro's height, but several sizes larger, and his arms were bent, muscles bulging, as he sized Kuro up and down.
"Does someone this skinny have the right to supervise us? Hey, let me tell you, don't meddle in other people's business. We G-5 Navy always have our own reasons for doing things!"
Kuro, his expression indifferent, looked at Smoker beside him. "Smoker?"
“Hey, Dakin, get out of here. This isn’t someone you can intimidate,” Smoker said sternly, exhaling a puff of smoke.
"But Vice Admiral Smoker, he's coming to investigate us. We're just trash in the Navy, what's there to investigate? It's obvious that headquarters wants to cause us trouble!"
The man named Dakin protested, "We are the bravest navy men! Not only are we not praised for our deeds, but we're also being inspected! This is so unfair! I don't care about any awards or honors; we won't let this happen to us! If you don't want us to bother you, then make us submit!"
Kuro stared at him and said, "Smoker, your subordinate?"
"yes..."
Smoker sighed. "Go easy on them. They... are good people."
Kuro nodded: "I sensed something. He's not a bad person at heart, but his actions are a bit inappropriate... Kuro."
"yes!"
Whoosh!
With a shout, Kuro's body vanished, leaving only a blur as he flashed past the marines. A series of crackling sounds followed, and Kuro reappeared behind the G-5 marines, one hand resting to the side, the other pushing up his glasses with the heel of his palm. The lenses gleamed, as if he were showing contempt for the marines' strength.
Thump!
Thump!
Thump!
With a series of loud noises, the sailors fell to the ground, some clutching their stomachs, others touching their chests, and still others pressing their legs, all looking pained.
"You bastard!"
The guy named Dakin stood up, gritted his teeth, stared at Crow, clenched his fists, and was about to rush forward.
Boom!!
Just then, his body trembled, his lips began to tremble involuntarily, and cold sweat poured down his forehead like rain.
Not only him, but all the fallen sailors stopped their commotion and stood there with their heads down, not daring to move. Upon closer inspection, their bodies were all trembling.
murderous look!
"I'm here to supervise, there must be a reason for it."
Kuro exhaled a puff of smoke and said calmly, "I'm not interested in what you've done, but there are a few things I need to say. As Marines, if you don't stand or sit properly, that's unacceptable. What? You've given up on yourself after being labeled as scum and sent here? What happened to the posture you learned in the Marines? Have you forgotten it all?"
"And also, as naval personnel, where are your uniforms? And where are the capes for those of lieutenant rank and above? What kind of crap are you wearing? If you didn't know better, you'd think this was some kind of circus."
Kuro wasn't lying; in all his years as a Marine, he had never seen such a poor Marine posture.
Back in the East China Sea, with Cass there, regardless of the strength of his subordinates, their poses were certainly impressive.
Upon arriving at headquarters, the navy's posture was also quite good.
Later, Cass came for a while, and then in Sabaody Archipelago, Wilbur was in charge of training the Marines. Their posture seemed to be no worse than Cass's, I don't know why.
