Not only Lida and Kuro, but even the marines he brought with him, none of them had any aura.
They went back?
Impossible, they wouldn't dare abandon themselves.
Kuro turned on the Den Den Mushi and dialed Lida's number.
The Den Den Mushi didn't ring, not because the call wasn't connected, but because it didn't ring.
The fact that a Den Den Mushi doesn't ring only means one thing: that the Den Den Mushi is either dead or doesn't exist.
But that doesn't make sense.
Did that old man kill them all?
Impossible, that old man's strength is not enough to do that.
Moreover, Lida is quite strong; if a real fight were to break out, he would be able to detect the movement.
Kuro dialed another number, and with a 'pop pop pop' sound, the call was answered.
"Moshi moshi~"
The Den Den Mushi has transformed into a lewd-looking creature.
"Grandpa! Have Lida and the others gone back?" Kuro asked directly.
"Hmm? Who are you?" came the questioning voice from the Den Den Mushi.
"Stop fooling around, old man, I'm asking you a question."
"Oh~ that's strange. How did you know this number? Are you in the Navy? Also, I'm not old."
Kuro: "???"
"Grandpa, are you sure you're not messing with me?" he asked uncertainly.
"No, then who are you?"
The tone of his voice made it seem as if he truly didn't know Kuro.
"I'll talk to you properly when we get back! Are you still playing games with me now?!"
Kuro abruptly hung up the phone, chewing on his cigar, his expression unpredictable.
What's wrong with this old man? He asked again, and he still has the mind to joke with him?
"This wretched place is completely deserted... not even the presence of the residents of Cortiga is left."
He exhaled a puff of smoke, and with his Observation Haki, he couldn't sense anyone's presence, as if this were a deserted island.
Where are they? Where did they all go?
What exactly did that guy named Fürth do?!
Just as Kuro was pondering this, a ship was moored on a shallow beach in the archipelago where it could be landed.
"Hey, Captain, shall we rest on this island? I prefer the island on the left."
"It was a blond man wearing glasses with a knife hanging at his waist," he said.
"I like the island on the right."
A man with a ponytail and another man with two axes at his waist spoke up.
"Stop arguing."
A somewhat rugged man disembarked from the boat, looked at the island, and laughed, "I like this island. It has an adventurous feel to it. I have a feeling something fun is going to happen."
The man, wearing an open-front shirt, jewelry around his neck, and a red captain's coat, with a thick mustache and a wide grin, was pointing in one direction and said, "Look, that aura is quite strong."
"What adventure? You're just itching for a fight, Roger." The bespectacled man shook his head. "Then I'll guard the ship. There's only one aura there. What about you, Jabba?"
"I'll go take a look."
The man named Jabba smiled slightly: "Perhaps Roger isn't interested."
...
Bang!
The Cortiga Islands, an island.
The loud bang echoed through the air.
A white-haired girl jumped up and punched the ground, creating a deep crater.
"Where did you put Kuro, you old geezer?!"
Lida transformed into her teenage form, her hands radiating Armament Haki, and glared resentfully at Philt in front of her.
Before Philt could even steady himself, he leaped up, and a beam of light appeared behind him.
Kro, now in his human-beast form, swung a claw through the air, looking up at Philt who was leaping in mid-air, his gaze somewhat grave.
This man made Mr. Kuro disappear...
Things started to go wrong when they discovered that Kuro's aura had disappeared.
They had all seen this man named Philt before. Judging from his life force, he couldn't possibly be a match for Kuro. But strangely enough, Kuro disappeared.
They couldn't get through on the phone, and there was no trace of the person; just like the other residents of the island, they simply vanished.
This made Lida extremely anxious, and she even went into a rage.
Give Kuro back to me!
Lida clasped her hands together, gathering her vital energy and domineering aura into a shockwave. Then, she released her hands, and a ball of black light shot straight into the sky.
"Energy Shockwave!"
That speed was exceptionally fast.
"Waaah..."
As soon as Philt reached the sky, he moved his feet and quickly moved away by stepping on the air. The black light shot into the sky almost brushed past his body.
A bead of cold sweat trickled down his forehead.
"To be so amazing at such a young age? Captain, oh Captain..."
Phil stared at Lida, whose eyes were bloodshot and filled with rage, on the ground with a strange expression, and said with a wry smile, "Didn't you say your mother was very gentle?"
Whoosh!
A strong gust of wind came from behind.
Fürth's fist was tinged with Armament Haki as he punched backward.
when! !
A claw collided with his arm.
Kuro appeared behind him, extending his claws and narrowing his eyes, saying, "Pirate, where did you take Mr. Kuro!"
As he spoke, he stretched out his other claw and aimed it at Philt's head.
Bang!
Felter blocked Kro's claws with his other hand, but the immense force of the Zoan-type was beyond his ability to withstand. Under the tremendous force, Felter's body slumped down, crouching on the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.
