Chapter 597 Kuro, you're too arrogant

"Kizaru..." Ain murmured, her voice trembling, her eyes filled with despair.

The large number of naval officers and soldiers led by Kuro was already enough to put pressure on people, but the arrival of Kizaru and the massive fleet behind him would only make Ain feel desperate.

"I remember..."

Kizaru glanced at Ain and smiled, "You must be Ain, the one who follows Zephyr."

He reached out, his large hand enveloping Ain's side.

Ain took a step back, closing her eyes in fright.

*Smack*

That large hand landed on her shoulder.

Kizaru laughed and said, "Then please don't do such a foolish thing. My subordinate has a bad temper, and he's already taken a lot. If you provoke him again, something bad might happen."

Ain froze, standing there, speechless.

At this moment, the fleet had already docked at the shore, and a large number of marines went ashore to surround Zephyr from the beach, together with the marines on the high ground, forming an encirclement.

"Borsalino...?"

Zephyr clutched his chest, glanced at Kizaru, and said, "You're here too."

“Yes, Zephyr-sensei.” Kizaru looked at the wound on Zephyr’s chest, pouting in surprise, “You were stabbed? That’s scary.”

"Hmph, still so frivolous."

Zefa shook his head, gripped his right prosthetic arm, looked down at the wound on his chest, and sighed, "This stab really did calm me down quite a bit."

"Are you calm now?"

Kuro raised an eyebrow. "Old man, this is so tasteless of you. You regret it now that you're about to die? You're not that kind of person."

Zefa laughed: "Who said I regretted it? At least in this very last moment, I did what I thought was right, regardless of whether it was a sudden change of heart or not."

He turned his head to look at Ain and Binz, as well as the NEO Marines, and fell silent.

“Professor Zephyr, we…”

Seeing Zephyr's gaze, Ain gritted her teeth and was about to rush forward.

Boom!!

Just then, a huge ice wall rose up in front of them, encircling half of the island and separating Ain and Zephyr.

"Teacher! Teacher!!"

Ain's eyes widened as she pounded on the thick ice wall, instinctively about to use her abilities.

Her ability allows her to rewind an object by twelve years; twelve years ago, that object would have been water...

"Oh well, it's better not to bother. I won't let you do that."

Suddenly, a deep voice rang out.

Kuzan walked slowly over from the side and said, "Don't let affairs overwhelm your reason, Ain."

"Aokiji!"

Ain turned her head, her face full of anxiety, and said, "Why?!"

Kuzan looked at the ice wall and sighed, "This was Zeff's long-cherished wish, and I was just helping him fulfill it. Kuro successfully appeased Zeff, but... he also brought back that 'Black Arm'."

...

"That Kuzan guy..."

Kuro glanced at the suddenly rising ice wall, shook his head slightly, and looked at Zephyr, saying, "Old man, someone has already chosen a burial plot for you."

"Hmph, Kuzan, mind your own business. Never mind..."

Zefa smiled and shook his head, looking around at the navy officers and generals. He knew them all and had taught them all.

He clenched his fists, his smile widening, and looked at Kuro, who was closest to him. "Speaking of which, you're the student I've taught for the shortest time, so I'll give you a few more lessons. There's one thing I have to teach you: when facing an enemy, no matter what kind of injury they've suffered, if they haven't completely lost their fighting ability, don't underestimate them, especially... when they have nothing to lose!"

Thump!

A huge wave burst out from the beach, and before Kuro could react, Zephyr suddenly appeared in front of him, grinning at him.

Having lost its cumbersome robotic arm, Zephyr is now significantly faster.

Kuro's pupils contracted, he took a step back, and slashed out with lightning speed.

Kuro intended to use this strike to block Zephyr's fist, but at that moment, Zephyr didn't move his hand at all. Instead, he suddenly thrust his head forward, his forehead radiating a layer of Haki, and slammed it into Kuro's head.

Only then did he extend his hand, and an aura of dominance appeared on his arm. It was no longer the swirling, wind-like coiling motion, but rather flowing like water, like ink.

In a split second, Zephyr caught the blade that Kuro was slashing at him.

Bang!

A large wave rolled out from the lower part of the beach where the contact surface met.

As he gripped the blade, Zephyr pulled back, dragging Kuro's body along with him, and then slammed his prosthetic right hand into Kuro's abdomen.

Bang!

One punch landed, leaving several wounds on Zefa's upper arm.

"Recoil resistance, huh? You've really carved out your own style with that domineering aura," Zephyr chuckled.

"You old man!"

Kuro gritted his teeth and quickly wrapped his Haki around his neck and face, as if it were armor.

He had already blocked the punch with his Haki, and it even caused Zephyr to suffer a backlash, but the force of the punch still caused him some pain, even through the Haki.

"It's not over yet!"

Zephyr grinned maliciously, thrusting his body forward and slamming his shoulder into Kuro. A unique, gentle force knocked Kuro away again. Then, he released his grip on Shusui with his left hand and launched a punch. This punch startled Kuro, who sprang up and was about to fly into the air.

"You must always maintain your rationality and composure during battle, otherwise your Observation Haki will weaken!"

Zephyr released his fist, which exploded in the air. The Haki emanated from his palm and struck Kuro, who was about to get up, sending him flying far away.

Kuro's body stopped horizontally in mid-air. He raised his head, and despite being covered in Haki, a trace of blood flowed from the corner of his mouth.

“This old man…” He grinned, straightened up, and stared at Zephyr’s dark, undulating arm with a complicated expression. “‘Black Wrist’?”

Zephyr laughed, "How about it? I can still fight, can I? Kuro, although you can be very calm when you are extremely angry, you become very lax in relatively safe situations. Your weakness is that you are too arrogant."

"Bullshit! I'm a very cautious person!" Kuro retorted.

"Hmph, so cautious? It doesn't stop your arrogance."

Zefa shook his head and smiled, then took a step forward. "Alright, let's continue with class!"

call out!

Suddenly, a beam of yellow light shot towards him at lightning speed. Zefa didn't even look; he simply raised his right arm to block it. The laser struck his right hand, emitting countless tiny beams that struck the ground.

“Borusalino!” Zeffa sneered. “That’s right, on the battlefield, there’s no such thing as cheap tricks! A sneak attack is no exception!”

"Oh~"

Kizaru held up one index finger and asked in surprise, "Zeff-sensei, did you block it?"
