As the golden ship drew closer, Kuro could see it more clearly.
This ship is quite large.
Those fortresses, along with the wide decks at the front and back, looked like a small island.
Even large warships wouldn't be this ridiculously big.
In fact, according to common sense, pirate ships are generally smaller than warships, because pirates are inherently fast, convenient, and easy to attack.
But that's common sense.
This is precisely because the world is illogical.
Some pirate ships are ridiculously big, and they're also incredibly fast.
Who can I reason with?
"Um?"
Kuro was still admiring the ship when he suddenly saw a small figure waving at him from above the sculpture at the bow.
"Hey, Kuro!"
Lida stood on it and waved to Kuro.
"Lida?"
Kuro frowned, then looked around.
Crow, Cass, Wilbur, Ian, Binz, Donald, Kikyo, Sazel, and Fanny—his subordinates were all there, and behind them were some of Douglas's navy. Looking at their auras, the fortress was filled with the presence of the Douglas Navy fleet.
What, is all his wealth on this ship?
When the ship was docked in the harbor, Kuro could see its enormous size only when he got very close. Even the sculpture on the bow made Kuro feel extremely small in comparison.
"Kuro!"
Lida jumped down from the sculpture and landed steadily in front of Kuro, pointing excitedly at the ship and saying, "Golden, so cool!"
“I know it’s cool, but what are you guys doing on Smoker’s ship?” Kuro asked.
"Smoker?"
Lida tilted her head. "What Smoker? Smoker's on G-5. This is your ship."
"Hurry up and get off Smoker's ship."
Kuro seemed not to hear what Lida was saying next, and said, "Smoker is on G-5, he must have a mission. Let him come back and get the ship himself. It's impolite for you to take his ship. It's not like we don't have ships."
He walked over mechanically, then pointed to the large warship beside the harbor that looked like an adult compared to the golden ship, "This is my flagship, right? Let's get on this ship, this one."
"Kuro?"
A few question marks appeared above Lida's head as she said, "I'm saying this ship is..."
"Ah...I see, this ship doesn't quite look right. This one will do, this one, we can't change it anymore, this one will be my flagship!"
Kuro pointed to a ship with a spider pattern on it, which was a little larger than the warship.
“That’s Vice Admiral Onigumo’s ship,” Lida said, her eyes lowered and her face expressionless.
"Right, I misread it, I misread it."
Kuro mechanically repeated the action of pointing at the ships. He pointed to another ship and said, "This one, this one, we can't change it anymore, let's keep this one."
You're acting like a child, making a fuss and demanding things.
Lida's lips twitched for a moment, then she continued expressionlessly, "That ship seems to belong to Lieutenant General Steeles."
"What are you doing, Lida!"
Kuro grinned at her, "Why are you getting in my way while I'm searching for my ship! Listen to me, give this glittering ship back to Smoker and go find our own ship."
“Mr. Kuro…”
Just then, a weak voice sounded from the side; it was Chloe.
Kuro's men had already descended from the steps that had been lowered down on the side of the ship.
Whoosh!
Before the bespectacled idiot could even see clearly, Kuro swiftly grabbed Chloe by the collar, pulled him close, and threatened, panting heavily:
"Crow! Tell me, shouldn't a navy officer be more upright and not just keep what they want?!"
Looking into Kuro's bloodshot eyes, Kuro swallowed hard and nodded subconsciously, "Yes, Mr. Kuro."
"That's good."
Kuro released Kro and said to Lida with a smile, "So, Lida, don't think about this ship anymore. Let's return it to Smoker."
Lida remained expressionless.
"Okay, okay, that's settled then. I'll call Smoker and ask to borrow you for a day to play around."
Kuro held up a finger as if to indulge him, and said helplessly, "Just one day, one day is enough for you to play with. Smoker is my good friend, and this ship looks expensive. We can't rob him, that wouldn't be fair."
You haven't taken enough from Smoker?
Lida rolled her eyes and then remained expressionless.
"Ah, three days, three days, that's the most I can do. This is my concession to you. Three days, okay, that's settled. I'll call Smoker right now and tell him I'll return it to him in three days."
With that, Kuro flipped open the Den Den Mushi on his wrist, preparing to make a call.
"Mr. Kuro!!"
Just then, Wilbur stepped out from the crowd, excitedly exclaiming, "This is your ship! I have done my best to follow your instructions!"
These words caused bulging veins to appear on Kuro's forehead, his palms to tense up, and veins to show on the back of his hands.
He stared at Wilbur with a murderous look in his eyes, then took a deep breath and forced himself to speak normally.
"What did I say? Who told you what I said?"
"It's Miss Kikyo..."
Seeing Kuro's expression, Wilbur assumed he was dissatisfied and lowered his head in shame. "I'm sorry, Mr. Kuro, I couldn't achieve the effect you wanted, but this was the best I could do."
