Cuckoo—
Just as the freckled child said this, a noise came from nearby.
It was David's stomach rumbling because he was hungry.
David touched his stomach and nodded seriously, "Of course, I'll help you!"
He reached up and touched his patched trousers, pulled out a few bills, and asked hesitantly, "Is three thousand Berries enough?"
That's enough!
The freckled boy snatched the money, his smile returning. "Hehe, David, you're so easy to fool! Come on, come on, I'll treat you to hot dogs!"
"Um... this isn't really a good idea."
A little girl said with some concern, "Wallis, you just ate it. And David's pig is all gone. It's not right for us to lie to him like this."
"What does it matter? This man was just being played!"
The freckled boy flicked the banknotes and walked forward, then turned back and said, "David, remember to help my dad with his chores."
“I understand.” David nodded vigorously.
"Look, he agreed to it himself. I didn't force him to do it. This guy is the kind of person who can't say no."
The freckled boy sneered, "Let's go. If you don't want to eat, then don't!"
"I, I want to eat!" The little girl finally followed behind the freckled boy and disappeared down the street with a group of friends.
David watched them leave, shook his head, glanced at the mangled pig carcasses around him, and said, "Well then, let's go help Wallis's father first..."
"Um, I'm sorry."
Suddenly, a voice rang out from the side.
David turned his head and saw a lazy-looking man standing next to him.
"The Navy?" David asked, taken aback.
"Yes, my name is Moore. I am currently a corporal in the Navy and also Vice Admiral Jinni's messenger. Our boss wants to see you. Could you come over?"
"I refuse."
"ah?"
Moore paused for a moment, "Um, sorry, I just saw it. Those kids said you're someone who can't say no."
"I refuse."
David said again, "I have to help Wallis's dad with some chores later, so I don't have time. Or you can wait until I'm done."
"Ah...is that so?"
Moore pulled out a Den Den Mushi. "Well then, I'll get someone to help you."
Not long after, a strange man's angry roar rang out on the street.
"Wallis, where are you, you brat! You actually sent the Navy, and even my savior, to do my bidding! I'll skin you alive when I find you!"
...
Naval base tents.
"Hmm? Lida, you're back? Where's that little man?"
Kuro watched Lida walk in and asked.
"They're gone."
Lida said, "What a strange little man. He seems so gullible; he'll believe anything I say. He said he'll bring his princess to play with me later. His princess, Mansherry, is currently organizing a blood donation drive to treat those wounded in the war."
"Let's just do this voluntarily, since no civilians are getting hurt."
As Kuro spoke, he glanced outside and said, "Why is Moore so slow? He clearly has the most efficient ability, but he drags his feet when it comes to getting things done."
"Fufufu, that guy is quite interesting, Kuro. Your subordinates all seem very strong. You were able to pass through my birdcage before because of that guy's abilities, right?" Doflamingo laughed at this moment.
“Of course, after all, your birdcage is such a hassle, why not make an easier way?” Kuro nodded.
The masked figure with black and white pupils said, "The Beacon Fruit? We've heard of it too; it's a great ability for espionage. Golden Lion, we want to..."
"Tsk."
Kuro flicked his finger, and a stone fist materialized on the ground, slamming heavily into the man's stomach.
The latter gagged, and his body flew out of the tent, crashing heavily to the ground.
"I've put up with you for far too long!"
Kuro glared at him and said, "Are you ever going to stop?! You want this and you want that, but you guys are the ones helping me, not the other way around!"
"You might as well tell the Five Elders to let someone else make the decision, or you can shut up! I'll repeat myself one last time: I'm not your subordinate, and the Navy isn't subordinate to the CP organization. Either you have the ability to make the Navy automatically demote to become subordinate to the CP, or you can shut up!"
"Lucci, shut your colleague's mouth. If he keeps babbling, I'll release the sugar and turn him into a toy forever!"
Doflamingo's subordinates, except for Baby-5, have all been arrested, while the woman escaped and is currently being pursued; her whereabouts are unknown.
The man with the black and white pupil mask lay on the ground, raised his head, and roared, "Lucil Kuro! I'm going to report you to the higher-ups!"
"Oh~ How scary!" Kuro pouted, completely unimpressed.
Despite the immense power of the Vinsmoke family, all they managed to do was keep him in Chambord for a while.
Demotion? Punishment?
If only what these people said had any effect, he wouldn't be a lieutenant general now, let alone a lieutenant general candidate!
These people are utterly useless!
You believed it for nothing.
Whoosh!
Just then, a white light flashed outside the tent.
Moore appeared there with a tall, thin man and said to the wide-open tent, "Lieutenant General Kuro, I have brought the man."
The moment he appeared, Kuro, Lida, Doflamingo, and Lucci all looked at the tall, thin man next to Moore.
Kuro narrowed his eyes and chuckled, "Interesting..."
