Achoo!
Achoo! Achoo!
G-3 Branch Office.
Kuro suddenly sneezed several times for no apparent reason. He rubbed his nose, looked out the window, and muttered, "Which beautiful woman is thinking of me?"
"Um?"
Lida, who was standing to the side, stopped eating and looked at Kuro warily.
Beauty?
Impossible. She keeps such a close eye on him every day. She knows very well how many women are around Kuro, especially those beauties who look like other men's wives. They are the key targets of her surveillance.
How could there possibly be a woman?
“That old pirate, I suppose,” Lida said.
"I've taken down a lot of old pirates lately, mostly from around here. As for those further away, as long as they don't come here or have designs on me, I can't be bothered with them."
Kuro picked up the powdering stick from the table, raised the Autumn Water, and dusted the white, fluffy powdering stick off the blade, saying, "Can't you think of me in a better light?"
Lida pouted and took a bite of her snack.
“Mr. Kuro.”
Kro pushed open the door and entered, saying, "Cass sent a message confirming the presence of invaders in the Kingdom of Raya."
"Oh? Which one?"
"It's Dressrosa, and the leader is Panza David."
These words caused Kuro to pause slightly in his action of dusting off the blade. He looked at Kuro and asked:
"Dresrosa? David? Are you kidding me? Dressrosa is a long way from here, how could he possibly get here?"
Kro adjusted his glasses and said, "I was also puzzled, but it's true. Cass confirmed that Pansa David has killed the King of Raya and officially taken over Raya Island."
"Oh ho, I didn't realize before that kid had such a strong desire to conquer. But if it's him, he probably won't do anything to the civilians, so we don't need to worry about it." Kuro was surprised for a moment, then continued to brush his Autumn Water.
A knife definitely needs maintenance. This isn't a special kind of knife like the Luo Gui's, where blood keeps it sharp. All other knives, regardless of type, basically require maintenance.
As for David's matter, that's a matter for their kingdom. I'm just a navy officer; I have no right to interfere and don't want to get involved.
If he wants to wage war, then let him wage war. That kind of person must have his own ideas. After all, David was no ordinary man; otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen him as king.
"I'm hungry, have Kikyo make something nice," Kuro instructed Kro.
“I want to eat juicy meat!” Lida raised her hand and said.
Kuro rolled his eyes: "Water Seven is so far away from here, how can we eat it so quickly? Wait a few days. Kuro, make a call and have someone buy some ingredients from Water Seven, as well as their sea salt."
“Yes, I understand, Mr. Kuro.” Kuro nodded and left the office.
Even under normal circumstances, this small request would be no problem, and Lida would buy it on her own, since she gets a cut from Pegasus Island.
Kuro took tens of billions for free this time, which shows he's really rich and not at all naive.
The three candidates split the money among themselves, with Kuro taking 25 billion. He then negotiated another 30 billion, allowing the headquarters to pocket 20 billion, and also getting 10 billion for free, totaling 35 billion. The responsibility was even shared. He would be willing to do this a few more times.
"I'm so rich, I can eat whatever I want," Kuro said smugly. "Lida, eat as much as you want, if you can eat me out of house and home..."
"Hmm?" Lida raised an eyebrow and looked over.
"No, it's nothing, forget I said anything." Kuro remembered something and shut his mouth.
Given her Devil Fruit ability and her mastery of 'Life Return', she really won't overeat. Give her time, and she can eat it all, no matter how much money it costs.
...
A few days later, it was still the office.
Kuro was having a meal. On the table was a bowl of freshly delivered and prepared by Kikyo. Next to it were expensive lobsters and fish, all delivered from a distant place by speedboat. These speedboats were specially designed to transport snail-shell-sized objects and were quite practical from a transportation standpoint.
On the other side of the sofa, Lida was enjoying her meal, leaving the coffee table full of empty plates.
“Mr. Kuro.”
Kro pushed open the door and entered, followed by several people. "Cas and the others are back."
As he spoke, he stepped aside, revealing Cass and Wilbur behind him, and...
Kuro, who was eating some juicy meat, was taken aback when he saw someone enter from behind. "David?"
Cass and Wilbur entered the office, saluted Kuro in unison, and said, "Mr. Kuro!"
Meanwhile, David, the only one beside them not wearing a naval uniform but dressed in luxurious clothes, humbly bowed, placed his right hand on his heart, and said, "Sir, it's been a long time."
Kuro frowned and said, "Why do you keep calling me 'Master'? You're the king now."
David shook his head and said humbly, "My kingship was chosen by you, and my weapons were bestowed upon me by you. You gave the Pansha family a new life. To the Pansha, you are their lord."
"Don't mention it. I'm just a navy officer. You govern your kingdom; it has nothing to do with me."
Kuro said, "Do your best."
“I will keep that in mind, sir.” David bowed again.
Kuro rolled his eyes. Oh well, this guy probably can't get used to being addressed this way.
"By the way, what are you doing here?" Kuro said, "You've been making quite a splash lately, managing to open up such a long distance from Dressrosa to G-3. What were you thinking? It must have been quite a struggle for Dressrosa, given its size."
