Bang!
A gunshot rang out from the mountaintop. Both Kro and Kaku were startled. Instinctively, Kro reached out and blocked the naval captain, while Kaku stepped back.
when!
A bullet was caught by Kuro's hand, which was filled with Armament Haki. He glanced at the mountain peak from which the gunshot had come, and saw a person wearing fur shoulder pads standing on the top of the mountain with a sinister smile, the muzzle of the gun he was holding still smoking.
"It's been a long time, Colonel."
The naval captain stood there stunned for a moment before glaring at the man with the fur shoulder guard. "What are you trying to do? Why did you fire?!"
"Is that even a question?"
Kro released his grip, letting the bullet fall to the ground, and said, "Of course it's betrayal."
"That's right. I'm no longer a Marine. As a pirate, I'm very free. The information I gave you before was false. If we had kept in touch, nothing would have happened. But you insisted on coming here, so I had no choice but to kill you."
As the man with the fur shoulder guards spoke, he took a step back. After that step, a large number of pirates appeared from the surrounding mountains, brandishing guns and holding knives, grinning maliciously at the three of them. Beside the pirate with the fur shoulder guards, a woman dressed as a shrine maiden gradually emerged. On her shoulder stood a hunched eagle, its beak and eyes curving in a very human-like manner, as if mocking them.
"Is a cadre here?"
Kro was just looking at the bounty poster and knew this person—the Vulture Priestess, Nakoruru!
Are there only three people?
Nakoruru glanced at the people below, and when she saw Kuro, she was slightly taken aback. She smiled and said, "Ultraman? You're quite formidable, but three people won't do. I was just bored and wanted to see the interesting expressions on the Navy's faces after being betrayed, but I've changed my mind. Hey, Ultraman, if you surrender, you can be spared."
Kuro's body began to swell, transforming him into a werewolf over five meters tall. He panted heavily and said in a deep voice, "You are not worthy to persuade the great Kuro to surrender. Besides, I am a Marine and will not surrender!"
"Is that so? Then you can all die here."
Nakoruru flicked her finger. "Fire."
Bang bang bang!
Pirates from all directions pulled their triggers, unleashing a dense barrage of bullets at Kuro and his crew.
The moment the gunshot rang out, Crowe swept his tail and enveloped the naval captain next to him.
*Clap clap clap clap clap!*
The bullet struck Kro's massive werewolf body, producing a crisp sound and sparks. He sneered, "What can this level of domineering aura do?"
These projectiles possess a kind of domineering aura, though it's so rudimentary that Kro completely disregards it. But for Kro, he doesn't need to use domineering aura to block them, nor does he even need iron blocks; he can handle them with his current physical body alone.
A large number of bullets were instinctively fired by the pirates at the largest Kuro, but Kaku was not spared either.
His body was taut, his fists tucked behind his waist, his entire body shrouded in darkness, using his iron-like strength and domineering aura to forcefully block the bullets.
"Impressive, huh? This is really troublesome." Kaku looked at one of the small hilltops. "There's no way to retreat now."
His body rapidly expanded, especially his neck, which stretched dramatically, transforming him into a giraffe with an extremely long neck and a square nose. He pressed his hooves to the ground and twisted his neck violently like a windmill.
"Storm Kick - Zhou Duan!"
Buzz!
A circular, light blue slash rippled outwards as his neck rotated, hurtling towards the surrounding mountains. The crowd was caught off guard, as the attack wasn't aimed at them but at the mountains beneath their feet!
Almost three years ago, Kaku was able to cut through the incredibly sturdy tower on Enies Lobby with this move, and three years later, its power will naturally be no less.
The mountain where the pirates were standing was cut open, and the force sent it flying upwards before it plummeted downwards, causing the pirates to fall from the mountainside.
"A bunch of useless trash."
Nakoruru was also knocked into the air by a single blow, but she moved her shoulder, and the eagle standing on her shoulder flapped its wings and flew down. At the moment of takeoff, its body suddenly expanded and transformed into a huge eagle, steadily carrying Nakoruru on its back.
"Go, eagle!"
Nakoruru pointed downwards, and the giant eagle spread its wings, the feathers on its wings falling like iron swords, attacking the two of them.
"Monsters and ferocious beasts from the new world?"
Kro narrowed his eyes, his tail wrapped around the naval captain, and his body leaped backward, dodging the feather that fell like an iron sword.
Bang bang bang!!
The feathers exploded on the ground like cannonballs, kicking up clouds of dust. When the dust settled, each thick feather left a small crater.
"Wolf-Running Cannon!"
As soon as Kro landed after jumping back, he opened his mouth wide, his chest and abdomen bulged, and he roared out an air cannon.
Just as Kro opened his mouth, the eagle swayed its body, its massive form flying sideways to dodge Kro's attack.
Observation color!
A very perceptive bird, but...
"Giraffe Battery!"
Kaku's limbs were fixed to the ground, his long neck compressed inward, and then snapped open rapidly like a spring, his square nose at the very tip, lunging straight at Nakoruru on the eagle's back.
Ding!
Nakoruru dodged to the side, drawing her short sword from her waist and slashing down on Kaku's nose with a powerful, resounding blow.
"Don't underestimate me, you damn navy!" Nakoruru sneered.
