A wave of air rose from beneath Rayleigh's feet, carrying away pebbles.
He shifted his right foot back slightly, gripped the blade with one hand, and his expression darkened slightly.
That strike was quite powerful.
and...
A whirlwind-like aura swirled around the blade Rayleigh held, reflecting and merging with the golden lightning on Clow's blade.
If he hadn't used the same level of Haki, his sword would have broken just now.
This also means that the guy in front of you is serious.
Kuro's sword was blocked, so he pressed down hard with one hand and kicked Rayleigh in the stomach at the same time.
Rayleigh then bent his leg, unleashing his Haki, and blocked Kuro's kick with his calf.
Bang!
Using the momentum from the kick, Kuro flipped upwards and landed opposite Rayleigh. The black blade of Shusui sparked as it rubbed against Rayleigh's blade, then slashed backwards towards the back of his head.
At that moment, Rayleigh lowered his head, spun around, grabbed Kuro's wrist, and flung him away.
Kuro missed his attack and was thrown back, but at the same time, he kicked Rayleigh in the face.
Bang!
Rayleigh took a few steps back, covering the spot on his face where his domineering aura was fading, and said with a wry smile, "I'm really getting old..."
Kuro spun in the air and landed on the ground, retracting his foot as he did so. He flicked his blade and said coldly, "I'll settle the score with you for the slash you gave me two years ago."
“Hey, you’re a lieutenant general, is it really okay to be so petty?” Rayleigh said.
"I'm petty?!"
Kuro pointed around and said, "Look at this place! Is this something a human being would do? I won't even mention the chaos in Sabaody Archipelago; that was just a little troublesome. But you've almost completely destroyed my base. If I let you off so easily, where will I put my face?!"
"Can't you give this old codger a break?" Rayleigh asked.
"Huh? How dare you? You think you deserve such respect from me, Lucilfer Kuro, Vice Admiral of the Marine Headquarters, Admiral Candidate, Kinni?!"
Kuro sheathed his sword without hesitation, staring intently at Rayleigh. "Want to save face? Fine!"
"Lion, True, Thousand-Heart Valley!"
Autumn waters surged forth in an instant, and a chaotic yet domineering slash shot out.
"Come and get it yourself!"
A powerful slash filled the entire space. Rayleigh stepped back, the Haki on his blade becoming even more solid. He gripped the hilt with both hands and slashed directly at the first slash.
Bang!
With a single strike, the attack dissipated, creating a shockwave.
Bang bang bang bang!
Rayleigh's blade slashed down in a series of strikes, deflecting or shattering the incoming attacks.
The sweeping slashes traveled to other parts of the fortress, tearing open several large gaps. One slash even severed a load-bearing wall not far away, causing the nearby, relatively intact walls to collapse, dragging the buildings above them down with them.
Debris flew everywhere, the ground shook, and the area of ruins was clearly larger.
Rayleigh deflected the last slash, and then a black light flashed with golden lightning around him. He quickly raised his arm to block it.
Bang!
As the autumn water slashed down, a blur of motion rose from below. Rayleigh couldn't dodge in time and was kicked in the abdomen, sending him flying.
"Psychic Blade - Lion's Bite!"
Kuro swung his sword, his power flowing through the blade, stirring up the air in the direction Rayleigh had flown, twisting and slicing it.
Rayleigh clicked his tongue and unleashed his Armament Haki. Sparks flew from his body, tearing his upper clothes to shreds.
He forced himself to land on the ground, and with a light touch of his foot, he dashed out of the lion's bite range.
“Hey, this is making the area of damage even bigger,” Rayleigh said.
"It's all because you blocked it!" Kuro roared darkly.
"Isn't that a bit unreasonable? If I hadn't blocked it, you would have killed me."
"Wouldn't that be even better?!"
Kuro, with a cigar in his mouth, exhaled a puff of smoke and shot forward, leaving a trail of black light.
Rayleigh adjusted his stance, exhaled, and swung his sword again.
when!!
The two people appeared as two afterimages in the eyes of others, occasionally colliding and creating shockwaves that caused the base to tremble continuously.
Kro glanced up and saw that only half of the intact camp was falling rocks from the collision, and pushed up his glasses with the heel of his hand.
"Now, we might not even be able to save half of them."
Even Kro himself could easily destroy the base in a fight like this.
Not to mention the battles of someone of Mr. Kuro's caliber.
Their battles have always been devastating.
And it won't end so quickly.
Kuro was very annoyed, extremely annoyed.
He actually really didn't want to deal with this old man.
These people on the front lines of maritime operations are all incredibly difficult to deal with.
There are many troublesome aspects: some are exceptionally capable, some are physically strong, and some have domineering swordsmanship.
Reaching their level, as beings of similar domineering power, with comparable physical and sword skills, gaining an advantage is not something that can be done in a short time.
Rayleigh is no weakling. Even though he's old, his combat strength is still among the top tier.
In particular, Kuro is now fighting on his home turf.
Sabaody was his base of operations.
If the fighting gets too intense, it won't just be a problem for the base; the entire island will be affected.
