Main part, Malinfando.
After several days at sea, he finally finished his patrol mission and returned to headquarters.
The headquarters was filled with clanging sounds. A third of the buildings had been destroyed in the Marineford War, but since this was still the headquarters, it was natural to hurry up and renovate it.
Fortunately, his own home was well protected.
However, before he could even get home, a navy officer ran over and said that Sengoku was looking for him.
"Okay, I'm going to get yelled at."
Kuro, with a cigar in his mouth, said to Chloe behind him, "Take Saziel to report for duty. I'll go get a scolding and come right back."
“Understood, Mr. Kuro,” Kuro nodded.
The navy officer led the way and quickly brought Kuro to a spacious office. After he left, Kuro straightened his collar and knocked on the door.
"Come in."
The voice of the Warring States period could be heard coming from inside.
Kuro pushed open the door and went in, where he saw Sengoku with his head down, seemingly processing documents.
Nearby, Tsuru sat on the sofa drinking tea. Upon seeing Kuro, she laughed and said, "You little brat, you've gotten yourself into quite a mess."
"Don't joke with me, Granny Tsuru." Kuro smirked.
Upon hearing this, Zhan Guo raised his head, and veins appeared on his forehead.
"Kuro!! What a mess you've made!"
"Don't be angry, Sengoku-san."
Kuro walked to the sofa on the other side, sat down, put his cigar in the ashtray and stubbed it out, and laughed, "That Bonaparte Boropa has ambitions to replace our navy, so this is just a precaution."
"Come on, that guy couldn't possibly do something like that! Do you think our navy is just sitting around doing nothing?! That guy, Boropa, isn't the point. The point is you got two countries to sue you in front of their governments. Can't you be a little more careful in your actions?!" Sengoku roared.
"I'd like to, but they just came straight here, there's nothing I can do. Sengoku-san, you know me, I'm the most reliable person when it comes to things, you won't see me in dangerous situations," Kuro said innocently.
"Enough! You lazy bum!"
Zhan Guo's tone softened slightly: "I'll protect you from the government's influence in this matter. Just stay out of trouble for a while. I'm retiring, you understand?"
Kuro picked at his ear. "Yes, yes... no need to be so loud, I heard you."
Why don't you cause less trouble?
He wanted to avoid trouble, but did you give him a chance?
When you released me back to the East China Sea, nothing happened. Everyone was happy, it was a win-win situation, you know?
Sengoku stared at him for a while, then said, "That's all for now. If there's nothing else, go back and rest. Stay at headquarters and finish your medal conferment process first."
"Oh... I'll take my leave now, Sengoku-san."
He rolled his eyes, knowing he was just there to be scolded.
Just as Kuro was about to walk out, Sengoku suddenly said, "Wait."
"Um?"
"Regarding the marshal, who do you hope will take office?"
"ah?"
Kuro turned around, stunned, and said, "You're asking me, a lieutenant colonel, about something like this?"
"So what if he's a lieutenant colonel? Isn't a lieutenant colonel a Marine? Anyone in the Marines has the right to discuss this. Stop pretending with me, Kuro," Sengoku said.
"I prefer my old man, so that's it, let's move on."
Kuro waved his hand and walked out the door.
“The cunning little fox, like Borsalino, is unwilling to get involved in this.” Sengoku gritted his teeth as he looked at the closed door.
"Forget it, you've known his personality for a long time. They're all the same. If you don't want to get involved, then don't. It's not like it's a good thing anyway."
Tsuru crossed her arms and said calmly, "You want Kuro to support Kuzan and influence Borsalino in the process. They'll see through that. They're not stupid."
"Sigh... Oh well, let it be. I can't control anything anymore."
Zhan Guo rubbed his head and sighed.
...
"This is the training ground. From now on, you are a full-fledged naval officer."
After completing the formalities for Sazir, Klo took him to the training grounds at headquarters and said, "Also, although you are my direct subordinate, our department is a bit different. During your recruit training, I won't expect you to get good grades, but of course, you won't get too bad either. You need to get the most average grades among all the recruits—not too good, not too bad."
What does that mean?
Sazier was somewhat bewildered.
It's understandable that he couldn't get too bad results; he joined the navy with the goal of excelling.
But what's with the "can't be too good" part?
"In short, that's it. We'll take an average. If you exceed or fall below that average, you'll have to undergo one round of rigorous training from me." Kro pushed up his glasses, his tone laced with malice.
Go suffer!
When he came to the training ground, he deliberately controlled his strength in order to maintain his moderation, which was extremely painful, even more painful than fighting with all his might.
This suffering cannot end with him.
This should become their 'fine tradition' in this lineage.
"Kro?"
Suddenly, a voice rang out from the side.
Smoker, with two thick cigars in his mouth, walked over with Dashi.
“Mr. Smoker,” Crow greeted him.
"You're back, which means Kuro is back too?" Smoker approached and glanced at Sazir behind him. "And this is...?"
“Yes, Mr. Kuro was just summoned by Marshal Sengoku. This is the new recruit, Sazel Kuro. We met a very capable person during our voyage,” Kuro said.
