Chapter 207 A Short Story After the Rain

Inside the office, Kuro looked at the newspaper that Kuro had found. It was a newspaper from a few days ago, exactly one day after Ace announced the execution date.

Amidst the overwhelming news about the movements of 'Fire Fist' Ace and Whitebeard, Kuro found a news item tucked away in a corner of the newspaper.

The news report stated that a large pirate fleet raided Tada Town, but was wiped out by a man named Gugas.

The news report featured a small picture of a single person dressed in a black priest's robe with a shawl, wearing round-framed glasses. He looked very refined, holding a book in his left hand and a huge axe, disproportionate to his size, slung over his shoulder in his right.

"Is he Guggas?"

Kuro raised an eyebrow. "There are many powerful figures on the Grand Line... but I've never heard of any."

"You didn't live in the Grand Line before, so of course you haven't heard of it."

Lida said, "This person is very famous. He has been stationed in Tadada Town since he was a teenager, and it has been almost twenty years now. Because of his presence, no pirates dare to invade. That pirate fleet that was wiped out this time is definitely not from the Grand Line."

Kro nodded and said:

"The pirate fleet that was wiped out belonged to 'Tulip Tiger' Box, with a bounty of 88 million. Including some of the bounty hunters under his command, his total bounty reached 150 million. If he had gone to another town, perhaps there would have been another supernova when he arrived at Sabaody Archipelago, but his luck wasn't very good."

"As for this Gugas, I only recently started paying attention to it, and in doing so, I also came to know about this kingdom..."

This all started when Kuro wanted to capture a pirate on the Grand Line to promote him. At the time, he wanted to capture a famous pirate, so he studied bounty posters and newspapers. In addition, he was going to do this anyway, and as Kuro's strategist, he had to have at least some intelligence.

After all, his superior was a lazy bum who only thought about living in one place until he died, so he naturally wouldn't pay attention to intelligence or anything like that. So, he was the only one who could handle it.

Then he sent out some intelligence about the Kingdom of Tada.

"This country is located in 'Rosinia,' a place whose area is no less than that of Alabasta, but it is home to many countries, including three, one of which is the 'Kingdom of Tada.'"

"The Kingdom of Tada is not large, it is the smallest of the three countries, and although it is a member state of the World Government, it is very closed off. Only the port town allows people to move around, and outsiders are not allowed to enter other places."

"I estimate that the reason they can still open a port town is mainly to sell their local goods. Their most famous items are their weapons, which are exquisite and powerful, and are said to be made from a special mineral from the Kingdom of Tada. With these weapons and the unique physical qualities of the Kingdom of Tada, the Kingdom of Tada rarely gets invaded."

Those who were blind are all dead, and those who were observant certainly wouldn't touch it.

However, if a country like this can actually cause its naval bases to cry for help, then the situation is far more serious than it seems...

The warship sailed in the direction of the pointer, the moon set and the sun rose, and it wasn't until the morning of the next day that the warship arrived at the island of Rossinia.

At that moment, a light drizzle was falling, shrouding the large island in a misty haze.

The island is so large that you can't see the end of it at a glance. You can only see the coastal land. The coast is surrounded by strange mountains, which prevents people from getting ashore from other land. Although there are gaps, Kuro can see a dense array of reefs along the coast as the waves crash.

There was nowhere to stop.

As the warship continued its voyage, Kuro saw flat land, but on that land, he saw something strange.

A tall city wall stretched endlessly into the land. The wall was exceptionally tall, and inside it connected fortresses and high staircases. Patterns and animal heads were carved on it. Further inside, Kuro could see a cluster of tall castles. The dense castle buildings stood within the city walls. The buildings were dark in color, and even though it was daytime, a chill could still be felt from them.

If we disregard the Celestial Dragons, Mary Geoise is a place where the scenery is breathtaking. Even from a distance, it exudes a sense of mystery and solitude.

A very typical Gothic building.

Even architecture can be called a work of art.

Kuro clicked his tongue in amazement. How long would it take to build such a structure...?

This Kingdom of Tada is very interesting.

The warship sailed past the dense cluster of buildings, and soon they saw the end of the city wall by the sea, where there was a huge gate with two large fortresses on either side, and people were stationed on the fortresses.

On one side were what appeared to be local guards, dressed in leather armor; on the other side was a fortress, which belonged to the navy.

navy...

Kuro frowned and said to the captain beside him, "What's going on? Wasn't it a call for help?"

At this moment, there were clearly naval personnel and guards at the gate, and there were no signs of a battle.

"I...I don't know either..."

The captain was also a little puzzled; the call for help yesterday was genuine.

Kuro glanced at the navy ships above, which were poking their heads out as the warships approached and signaling with flags, and said, "Let's go in and ask them first."

As the warship approached the gate, a naval officer atop the fortress asked through a megaphone, "Who are you?"

The captain on deck also brought out a megaphone and shouted, "This is Lieutenant Commander Kuro from headquarters. We heard a distress call from the Navy in Tadada Town during our patrol, so we came to check on you. Were you attacked by pirates?"
