It wasn't human; it looked like a monkey, covered in thick fur, like a fur-bearing creature. It had two horns on its head, protruding fangs on its lower lip, and a tail that swayed behind its rump. In its hand was a small gourd, which it brought to its mouth and gulped down several mouthfuls, as if drinking alcohol, before roaring loudly:
"You... have trespassed on my territory!"
With a roar, a ball of black light burst forth from his open mouth, heading straight for Kuro in the air.
Kuro was clearly stunned by the sudden laser beam, but he quickly recovered and instinctively drew his sword, a flash of black light colliding with the black light.
when! !
With a crisp sound, black laser beams scattered from Qiu Shui's black blade, exploding on the ice surface like meteors and blasting it to smithereens.
Kuro stared blankly at the humanoid creature that resembled a hybrid of a demon and a monkey, and asked in surprise, "Laser? Freeze?"
"That wretched thing, is it the culprit...?"
Sakazuki crossed his arms and said in a deep voice, "That aura, Borsalino's laser and Kuzan's ice, hmm... it's our power."
Their combat experience was so rich that they could see the whole story from just those few moves.
Kuro clicked his tongue: "No wonder your attacks on this island were ineffective. This guy can absorb the power of nature? Hey, who are you?"
"I..."
The monkey stood up, its left hand floating above the ground, and the gourd on the back of its hand went back into its mouth, gulping down several mouthfuls.
"none of your business!!"
After saying that, he released his left hand and threw a punch with his right hand. This time, he threw out a ball of black lava material filled with high temperature, which formed the shape of a roaring monkey head. It expanded directly in the air and covered the four people.
Kuzan leaped upwards, two ice spikes appearing in his hands and connecting to the monkey-head lava. A layer of frost instantly covered it, turning it into an ice crystal, which crashed heavily onto the ice surface.
He fell to the ground, landing on the ice as well, and scratched his head, saying, "Oh dear, it seems that's really the case."
The monkey's face hardened with anger, and it declared, "Humans are inferior beings! How dare you trespass into my ghostly abode and disturb my slumber..."
Ghost Clan?
Kaido?
Kuro stared at it for a long time, and apart from having horns, it didn't seem to be Kaido's race at all.
The monkey stretched out its gourd, tilted the opening, and water flowed out of the small gourd. The water emitted an unusual aroma of wine, which could be smelled even from a distance.
"Then become a part of my dreams."
As the monkey spoke, a layer of black mist covered the ice surface where the wine had flowed. From within the black mist, the ghouls sprouted on the ice surface as if they were budding, letting out low growls, their ferocious and mindless eyes staring at the four people.
"Oh~ were all those strange things on the island caused by it? How scary." Kizaru stroked his chin and pouted.
Countless ghouls appeared, but the three of them did not make a move.
They were experienced and knew that nature-based attacks were useless, and the fact that this monkey had used their nature-based attack meant something they understood.
The old man looked up at Kuro and said, "Kuro, you take care of it."
"So, I'm the only one who can do this..."
Kuro looked at the group of ghouls and said, "Logia-type attacks will be absorbed by that monkey, but physical attacks shouldn't work, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to split this island. So..."
He forcefully slid Qiu Shui back into its sheath, and his entire body vanished into thin air. Only streaks of black light appeared on the neck of the corpse demon, and in an instant, they appeared in front of the monkey, the black light flashing and appearing on the monkey's neck.
laugh!
A gash was slashed into the monkey's thick neck, spurting blood. It instinctively covered its neck, and blood flowed through its fingers, revealing a look of horror as it looked back.
From behind it, Kuro appeared floating in the air, Shusui hanging from its sheath, and uttered in a cool voice: "Duofantian..."
Sizzle sizzle sizzle!!
The heads of those ghouls were severed from their necks, rendering them unable to move as they collapsed to the ground, where they were quickly absorbed by the ice and vanished completely.
"Oh? It seems that it will disappear after being attacked beyond its limits, no matter what the means are."
Kuro turned his head to look at the monkey whose neck wound was gradually healing and asked, "Zoan type? And not just any Zoan type, but a Mythical Zoan, right?"
Aside from Zoan-type characters, no one else has such strong regenerative abilities.
But the fact that it can absorb the power of nature indicates that this thing is not an ordinary Zoan-type.
"Shut up! What animal nonsense! I am the Demon King of Sake Island—Shuten-dōji!"
The monkey named Shuten raised his arm, gulped down several mouthfuls from the gourd, and then opened his mouth, unleashing a burst of lightning that swiftly struck Kuro in several bursts.
"thunder?"
Clow Reed was stunned. In a flash, the lightning shot forward through his afterimage, and Clow Reed appeared in the sky above, looking down at the horned monkey.
"The lightning that occasionally falls from the sky, it seems that nature can indeed absorb it. Those three are indeed ineffective against you, and since you yourself do not show up, it's no wonder that it has been able to drag on for so long."
Who would have thought that the most important person was actually hiding inside the island? Otherwise, those three old guys could have used their domineering power to carve open the island instead of playing some game of killing more ghouls.
but...
"That gourd-like thing can create beings similar to ghouls. They may not look threatening, but in terms of strength, they are comparable to ordinary naval soldiers, and they can even regenerate..."
