Chapter 21 Midnight End

Bud class.

When Qi Mi led little Langyu in, there was only a tiny flame burning in the metal bucket in the middle of the classroom. Eva, wearing a down jacket and a hood, huddled on a small bench, cheered the bucket up with her mind: "Don't let it go out! Come on, hold on, you can do it!"

Qi Mi looked at her speechlessly, picked up a handful of dry grass from the window and threw it in.

Slowly, the firelight became brighter, illuminating the faces of the three people in the room.

"You finally remembered me, Mi," Eva sighed with a look of pain on her face. She had pushed two carts of red bricks in and dove headfirst into the place, completely daring not to face those "little demons." She sat there alone for a full half hour.

Qi Mi scoffed, picked up little Langyu and placed him on the bench: "Doomsday player, don't you have even basic life skills?"

"Please! None of the apocalyptic places I've been to before are like this damn place. There's no light and no electricity!" Eva spread her hands, looking like she was in a dilemma too.

Seeing Qi Mi coming over with the cub, she couldn't help but roll her eyes and sighed: "Mi, is there no room for you and me to be alone together now?"

"After all, he has the ability. What if he hurts those children? We can only let him follow us." Qi Mi sat down and touched Xiao Langyu's head.

His hair is slightly curly, like a lamb's, soft and smooth, and feels very comfortable.

After hearing this, Xiao Langyu smiled at Qi Mi and chewed the biscuits quietly.

"OK, I can't refute your reason." Eva shrugged helplessly and stretched out her hands to warm them above the fire.

In the silence, the only sound in the room was the sound of chewing biscuits.

Eva glanced at Little Langyu. She hadn't eaten since she came into this world last night, and now, hearing the sound of Little Langyu eating like a little mouse, her saliva unconsciously secreted. She whistled at Qi Mi and leaned forward: "Good friend, can you give me some food?"

Qi Mi raised his head towards the outside of the house and said, "It's all over there, go by yourself."

When Eva heard this, she shook her head like a rattle: "I can't do it. I can't handle so many little fools!"

"There is only one little idiot here, why don't you try it?" Qi Mi signaled Xiao Langyu next to him with his eyes.

Xiao Langyu looked up: "?"

Little idiot?

Eva glanced sideways at Lang Yu and immediately waved her hand, her disdain evident in her expression: "Oh no, his red eyes remind me of that perverted judge. I can't handle that."

Xiao Langyu was silent for two seconds, then turned to look at Eva: "?"

abnormal?

Qi Mi heard the title of 'Chief Judge' for the first time and was curious: "What Chief Judge?"

"You haven't heard of him? Mi, aren't you a doomsday player?" Eva was surprised.

Qi Fan: "Ah, I haven't played it for a year."

"Okay, then you're lucky..." Eva curled her lips and said, "That Judge Doom, players don't even know his name or what he looks like. They just know his eyes are blood red... But! Everyone knows how perverted he is. He's a lunatic!"

"Oh? Madman?"

Qi Mi tilted his head with interest.

Eva: "Yes, that guy is a lunatic! I heard from an elder that he once destroyed a building because the reflective glass of a building glared at him! He also destroyed the entire road because his foot got hit by a rock while walking on the road! There was an apocalypse before, and I heard that it was because of him that the whole world exploded, and players who went there to do quests almost died there!"

Qi Fan chuckled, "He sounds like a rather grumpy person... Is his title of Doomsday Judge official? Or is it a private organization organized by players?"

"That's not clear. Anyway, I remember he had red eyes." Eva said, pointing at Lang Yu next to her, "It should be the same as his."

Xiao Langyu raised his head with an innocent look and pointed at himself: "?"

Qi Mi didn't see any strange expression on his face, so he looked away: "These are just rumors. Let's talk about it when we meet in person."

As she spoke, she stood up, put on her down jacket, glanced at the red bricks and cement piled in the shopping cart by the wall, and picked up a few long pieces of wood standing in the corner.

Eva was puzzled: "My, what are you going to do?"

"Unload the door."

After saying that, Qi Mi carried a few long wooden sticks out of the house, found a tape measure and a screwdriver from the toolbox, and started to work.

Eva got up and went out curiously to see what she was going to do.

Qi Mi walked to the door of the classroom next door, skillfully took out the tape measure, measured the size of the door and door frame, memorized it in his mind, and then picked up a screwdriver to start dismantling the door.

After a while, Du Rui, who heard the noise, also came out. Seeing that she was seriously removing the door, he didn't ask any more questions and just stood aside and watched silently.

Eva and Du Rui were both amazed by Qi Mi's skillful movements, lamenting that being a kindergarten teacher was a waste of talent and that she should be a carpenter. Not only did she remove a wooden door in a matter of minutes, she also completely and cleanly removed the door frame that was wrapped around the wall.

After unloading, she called on Du Rui and Eva, who were watching the fun, to help carry them aside.

Feeling that the down jacket was a nuisance, Qi Mi took it off when he entered the room and put it on Xiao Langyu. After telling him to sit still and not move, he came out with a few thick rusty steel bars.

Qi Mi's expression was so serious that Eva and Du Rui couldn't bear to interrupt him. But the more they looked down, the wider their eyes became, especially Du Rui, whose glasses fell off in shock several times and had to be straightened by him.

Qi Mi actually used only the machete in his hand to cut the finger-thick steel bars one by one according to the size. The sound was not loud, and the two metals rubbed violently, and then it was over.

Du Rui and Eva looked at each other and gasped.

The corridor was so busy that Zheng Yuanyuan couldn't help but open it a crack and asked, "What are you doing?"

Qi Mi turned around and smiled: "A surprise."

Zheng Yuanyuan seemed to understand, but when she saw Wang Xiaohu's kiwi head also pushing in, she quickly closed the door. Then, the noise of children rang out from inside the house, clamoring to come out and take a look.

"I'll show you when I'm done!" Qi Mi shouted, already drilling holes in the floor and wall with a small battery-powered drill.

Feeling that it was still inconvenient for her to do it alone, she called Du Rui and Eva to help.

Xiao Langyu sat on the chair, wrapped in the down jacket Qi Mi had given him, and kept himself warm. From his angle, he could just see Qi Mi's profile, with delicate features and two precious cat's eyes shining brightly, which was very attractive and beautiful.

The corners of his lips curled up, and he couldn't move his eyes away.

He didn't know how long he had been looking. When Qi Mi stood up and turned to another direction, and Du Rui suddenly appeared in his sight, he woke up as if from a dream and immediately turned his head away.

Xiao Langyu: “…”

A few minutes later, Qi Mi dusted off his hands and walked in.

Seeing that little Langyu was still sitting there motionless, he came over and said to him, "Aren't you bored? Why don't you go find some other kids to play with?"

Xiao Langyu shook his head: "No, I like being here."

Because I can see you.

Qi Mi nodded and continued to work, taking some wire to tie the steel bars.

After tying it up, she pushed the cart loaded with cement out, fetched some water, and handed a shovel to Du Rui, asking him to mix the bag of cement into a paste. She and Eva took out red bricks, and after stacking each brick, they used tools to spread some cement on top, and began to stack them layer by layer.

Because the skeleton is made of steel bars, the two people only need to fill it with bricks according to this framework.

When Qi Mi smoothed the entire wall, the cement dried quickly, and instantly became an unbreakable wall. Knocking on it with his hands, the wall was icy and cold, without any hollow sound, and was very solid.

"It's amazing! Mi, what kind of skill is this?" Eva's exaggerated expression showed her admiration for Qi Mi.

Qi Mi smiled and picked up the door frame he had just removed: "Maybe it's... the skills of a foreman?"

In a few minutes, she installed a door in the new wall.

Eva once checked the time on her cell phone. It had been less than an hour since Qi Mi tied the steel bars with wire until he installed the door.

Every step Qi Mi took, including what to do next and how much force to use, seemed to have been calculated in her mind, and she completed it immediately. It was truly amazing. The ones who wasted a lot of time were probably Eva and Du Rui, who seemed to be making things worse and had to rely on her to finish the work.

Du Rui adjusted his glasses. The fact that someone with a blank expression could express surprise was enough to show his admiration for Qi's fans: "Can it be opened now?"

Qi Mi replied while cleaning up the leftover scraps: "Of course, you try it."

"Oh my god! I can't wait!" Before Du Rui could even start, Eva had already opened the door impatiently.

With a knock, the door opened, and then bang, it closed again.

The fit is so perfect that it seems as if this door and this wall have always been there.

"OMG!" Eva opened the door and walked back. The closed corridor inexplicably gave her a sense of security.

Qi Mi had taken this into consideration and had built this wall. By making the end of the corridor and this wall a closed environment, it would be much safer, and the children would no longer have to look around nervously when going to the toilet.

But the key to the surprise is still a little bit missing.

Qi Mi nailed a few long wooden sticks to the walls on either side of the corridor, creating a small shelf. He then hung the specially repaired star-shaped lamp on top and knocked on the door of the Douding class.

The next second, Wang Xiaohu's smoky voice rang out: "Who's knocking on the door? Teacher Qi or the monster?"

Teacher Qi opened his mouth a little and deliberately made his voice thicker: "Do you think I am Teacher Qi or a monster?!"

The children immediately started playing and hugging each other, laughing and shouting, "Ah, Teacher Qi has turned into a monster!"

Qi Fan pushed open the door and made a gesture of invitation: "Come, take a look at the surprise that Teacher Qi has prepared for you."
