Chapter 42: Polar Night? Journey

Lang Yu stared forward and waved his hand.

Suddenly, a blood-red phoenix flew out from the fan, its tail outlined by golden lines, like a phoenix reborn from the ashes. The moment it spread its wings was shocking.

But if you look closely, you can find that the feathers of the phoenix are made up of human skeletons, as if the souls are imprisoned here forever and cannot be redeemed. Ghosts and monsters, sinister and unpredictable, all gathered together to form this "festival" of blood.

The phoenix flew straight towards the monster, turned in the air, and then crashed back into the fan.

The bodies of seven or eight monsters shattered in an instant and turned into yellow earth.

Return to dust, return to dust. After the phoenix sucked away my soul, my body became a pile of smoke and dust, which was blown away by the wind.

From the moment Lang Yu raised his hand to the moment it fell, the entire process took only a few seconds. Before Qiao, suspended in mid-air, could react, the force that held him up was gone, and he plummeted to the ground, sending dust flying everywhere.

In a daze, he saw Lang Yu's indifferent back: "Hey, if you are so powerful, why didn't you take action earlier?!"

Lang Yu didn't even turn his head: "..."

Qiao breathed a sigh of relief. Just as he was about to stand up, he suddenly realized that the dust on the ground had turned into ropes, tightly binding him. After struggling for a few times and failing to break free, he stared at Lang Yu and shouted, "Hey! What are you doing? Let me go!"

Just at this moment, Lang Yu turned around, glanced at him lightly, and disappeared around the corner with an expressionless face.

On the other side, the car carrying Qi Mi finally stopped.

After the man got out of the car, he couldn't wait to go around to the back and open the door.

When Qi Mi raised her eyes, she could see a smug and obscene smile on the man's discordant face.

"Come on, I'll take you in?" The man pretended to be a gentleman and stretched out his hand to Qi Mi, his flesh-colored webbed hands were dirty.

Qi Mi looked at it, sneered, ignored the hand, and got out of the car on his own.

Just as she was about to walk towards the villa opposite, the man raised his hand to stop her: "That's not the place for you to go. Come with me to this villa."

Qi Mi paused and looked back.

The two villas sit opposite each other with the same shape and appear to be no different from the outside.

But it was obvious that the noise coming from the villa opposite was much louder.

"Stop looking at me. If you want to live, just listen to me!" The man was so hungry that he couldn't wait any longer and immediately grabbed Qi Mi's waist.

Qi Mi stepped aside, thought for a moment, and asked, "Is there no one in your villa?"

"Of course there's no one here! Just you and me, the two of us!" The man chuckled a few times.

Qi Mi glanced back, paused, and turned to walk towards the villa in front of him: "Okay, then don't waste time, open the door quickly."

The man chuckled a few more times, took a few quick steps past Qi Mi, and came to the door: "Beauty, you are so impatient... Don't worry, we still have a lot of time."

"Really?" Qi Mi curled his lips, "But I'm in a hurry. Let's not waste time. Let's get it over with sooner rather than later."

"Okay!" The man laughed even louder. He thought this was Qi's fan throwing herself at him, so he quickly opened the door and made a gesture of invitation.

As soon as Qi Mi stepped in, he pounced into the door like a hungry wolf.

"No, beauty, how about we do it here?!" At the entrance, the man said as he stretched out his webbed hands and touched Qi Mi.

However, as soon as he touched the corner of her clothes, Qi Mi immediately dodged forward. When he turned around again, the blue eyes as bright as the vast stars suddenly appeared.

In an instant, her aura was fully released, and even her smile was intimidating.

"Come right here, okay, I'll satisfy you."

As soon as he finished speaking, Qi Mi picked up the long umbrella and stabbed it into the [death gate] on the man's forehead.

The long umbrella was made from local materials, and she took it in her hand as soon as she saw it when she entered the door.

The man was still dazed by the strange eyes, when the tip of the long umbrella suddenly approached in front of him, and he suddenly came to his senses.

But Qi Mi's attack was so swift that even though he reacted, he still couldn't dodge.

Phew!

The tip of the umbrella penetrated the man's head, but only superficially.

The sharp pain in his forehead immediately made the man ruthless. He grabbed the umbrella and easily bent the umbrella frame.

"Bitch! How dare you sneak attack me!" The man suddenly pushed the umbrella forward with all his strength. The force was so strong that Qi Mi stumbled back before he could regain his balance.

Qi Mi pulled back the long umbrella, stepped on the umbrella, and pulled out the sharp metal umbrella frame. Without saying anything more, he turned it in his hand and suddenly stabbed it at the man's [death gate] again.

The man stepped aside, raised his hand to grab the metal rod, shouted, and broke it in two.

Qi Mi retreated quickly, and when the man launched the attack, he was the first to run to the living room with the half metal frame in his hand.

"Alright, just consider it a warm-up! I'll kill you in a bit, and then I'll have to torture you a few more times!"

The man's foul language made Qi Mi feel sick. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of a porcelain ornament on the shelf, and she picked it up and threw it at the man.

Bang!

The kind and benevolent Bodhisattva was torn into pieces, with fragments scattered everywhere.

But the man acted as if nothing had happened and continued to move forward with a grin on his face.

He moved his head and slowly opened his mouth. This time, the man no longer looked like a normal Advanced Person; he looked even more terrifying, like a monster. The cracks at the corners of his mouth widened, tearing all the way to his ears, splitting open half his head, revealing long, pointed fangs. A long, purple tongue swung out, spraying foul-smelling saliva everywhere.

"I'll eat your head in one bite first, and then keep your body for use slowly!" As he said that, the man ran towards Qi Mi with his bloody mouth wide open.

Qi Mi was forced to the floor-to-ceiling window. By grabbing the curtain on one side, she swung her body up and avoided the man's attack.

The man missed and just as he raised his head, she kicked him hard in the two big black eyes.

“Ah——!!!” The man screamed and stepped back hastily. “Bitch! I’m going to skin you alive today!”

Qi Mi hummed softly, let go of the curtains, and jumped towards the man.

The man's eyes had not yet recovered, and he had no time to dodge, so Qi Mi knocked him to the ground.

Her movements were very decisive. After kneeling down and pressing down on the man's body, she strangled the man's thin neck with one hand and raised the half metal rod with the other hand and pressed it directly into the bloody hole on the man's forehead.

Except for the long umbrella handle that could not be inserted, the metal rod that was half the length of the forearm was completely inserted and passed through it.

Just as Qi Mi was about to pick up the broken porcelain pieces on the ground for another strike, her right hand was suddenly grasped tightly by the man.

The man twisted hard, and instantly there was a sound of bones breaking.

Qi Mi groaned in pain, his eyes became even more fierce, and his left hand moved faster instead of slower. He picked up the tip and stabbed it towards the man's [death gate].

She thrust in and out, and if the first strike failed, she tried again.

Only after the man's grip on her hands loosened and his body twitched twice rapidly like a dying fish did she slowly breathe a sigh of relief.

The more Qi Mi thought about what the man had said, the more disgusted he became. He raised his hand and slapped him in the face, sneering, "Look, who's torturing whom now?"

The man stared with his eyes wide open, his sharp fangs biting his long purple tongue, looking completely lifeless.

Ren Qimi slapped him several times but he didn't react.

Thump thump!

There were two very soft knocks on the glass.

Qi Mi turned around and saw Lang Yu standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at her with a half-smile on his face.

Glancing at the already dead man, she slowly stood up and walked to open the French window: "Is it resolved so quickly?"

"Yeah, just a few monsters..." Lang Yu chuckled and walked in. Seeing the man's ferocious face, he frowned slightly and said in a lower tone, "But no matter how fast I am, I can't be as fast as you, sister. I wanted to come over to help, but when I walked over, I found that your side was already finished."

As he spoke, he kicked the man's head with a hint of displeasure between his brows.

"Yeah, it took some effort, but it's solved." Qi Mi didn't hear anything and was focused on the villa opposite. "They should all be in the villa opposite. Let's go."

Lang Yu hummed, and when Qi Mi walked out of the French window, he took action. As if to vent his anger, he raised his foot and kicked the man's body fiercely.

The man's bones suddenly broke apart, his limbs twisted together like a rubber man, and he hit the wall and fell to the ground.

For fear of alerting the enemy, Qi Mi and Lang Yu went around to the back of the villa.

The noisy noise came from the attic on the fourth floor, and Eva's mixed Chinese and English curses could be heard.

The floor-to-ceiling window on the second-floor balcony was open, and the two could swing over using the bare tree in the backyard to sneak in unnoticed.

Qi Mi gave Lang Yu a look, indicating that he should go first.

Lang Yu stared at her, motionless.

Afraid that he hadn't expressed himself clearly, Qi Mi hurriedly lowered his voice to explain: "We'll sneak in from the second floor. You go up first."

Lang Yu: “…”

Lang Yu remained motionless.

Qi Mi was anxious, and he tutted impatiently and frowned: "Don't you understand what I'm saying?"

Lang Yu tilted his head: "I'll go up first, then how are you going to get up?"

Qi Fan: "Of course I climbed up the tree too."

"Just one hand?"

Qi Fan was stunned.

Lang Yu's gaze moved to her right arm.

He noticed that Qi Mi's arm had been stiff and motionless since just now. She must have been injured, or seriously injured. Otherwise, with her personality of not leaving the front line even with a minor injury, she would never be in such a posture.

The bones must have been broken.

Although she didn't show any pain, her bitten lip still gave him a clue.

There was a freshly formed blood clot on her lips, as red as rouge.

The black cloth over his eyes concealed most of Lang Yu's emotions. He pretended to be calm and just offered a cooperative suggestion. He opened his arms to her and said, "Come on, I'll carry you up."

Just as Qi Mi was about to refuse, she heard him add, "Miss, we need to save people, so let's not waste time on this issue, okay?"
