Chapter 19: Little Girl

To be honest, this was the first time that Yager saw Brooke's face so dark.

He drove over in a carriage, smiling at first, but when he turned a corner and saw Jiang Jin with Yager and ten members of the Knights, the expression on his face suddenly became ugly. At the end, he glared at Yager fiercely, which made Yager feel a little puzzled.

She naturally didn't know what was going on in Brooke's mind, but after being with Brooke for so long, Yager could still figure it out. After observing carefully, Yager sneered at Brooke's attentive behavior towards Jiang Jie.

"Brooke is getting more and more anxious."

Jacob lowered his eyes, turned over and climbed to the front of the carriage, sitting next to the coachman Brooke.

Two rather sturdy maids sat at the rear end of the carriage, one on the left and one on the right. They were not qualified to sit in the same carriage with Jiang Jin.

Did Yager tell them to follow the carriage? Or did Jiang Jin say, "It's freezing cold out here. Sit at the back of the carriage and hold on tight. Don't get blown away by the wind."

The two maids sat gratefully on either side of the back left, each wrapping their clothes tightly.

With a "gig" sound, the carriage slowly moved forward.

Jiang Jin sat in the warm and comfortable carriage. Even though she was wearing a thick cloak and holding a small stove in her hands, she could not resist the cold wind that sneaked in through the cracks in the door and corners.

"It's so cold." A biting wind blew in, and Jiang Jin shivered all over and wrapped her cloak tighter.

Snowflakes swirled in the sky, and the houses on both sides of the street were covered with silver frost. The atmosphere was less noisy and more ethereal.

The snow on the ground has not yet dispersed, and it is covered with silver. Under the sunlight, it reflects colorful light, which is magnificent.

Jiang Jin sniffed her nose and finally understood. No matter what, her body just couldn't adapt. Sometimes she felt too cold and sometimes too hot.

She looked out the glass window of the carriage and exhaled into her palms.

"Alicante is basically a deserted city. Walking from the City Lord's Mansion to the city gate, no shops on either side of the street are open except for the tavern that still has its lights on."

Jiang Jin took out a notebook and a pen from the warehouse, closed her eyes, and drew the street scene of Alicante.

At that time, Jiang Jin walked through the square and the church, which was located next to the main entrance of the City Lord's Mansion. Walking down from the square, you can also see the statue of the first city lord of Alicante. Although it was too dilapidated and missing a head, it was impossible to tell whether it was a man or a woman, but it was still a landmark building in Alicante.

"There are fields on both sides of the City Lord's Mansion. What on earth was the City Lord of Alicante thinking back then, setting up fields inside the city? How strong will the smell be when the crops are planted?"

Jiang Jin frowned and drew the shape of a field on the paper again.

The carriage went to the gate of Alicante, and Jiang Jin discovered that there were still fields outside the city, but there were relatively few of them. Looking from the carriage, the land here was not fertile.

Although the city of Alicante is located in a remote area, it is close to the Misty Forest on the left and the Vagisson Sea on the right.

Wow, Jiang Jin's eyes lit up. With mountains and the sea nearby, this is simply a natural hinterland!

With such a good condition, yet still living in such poverty, Jiang Jin was speechless.

As the carriage continued to move out, Jiang Jin saw groups of residents gathering at the edge of the misty forest to collect firewood, so she stopped the carriage.

"Lord City Lord, be careful, the ground is slippery."

Yager opened the car door, considerately put a small stool under it for Jiang Jin, and helped her get out.

The pair of soft boots Jiang Jin was wearing were taken out of the warehouse and were made of velvet inside and out. No one knew what magic was cast on them, but they were waterproof, snowproof and non-slip, which greatly alleviated the tingling in Jiang Jin's toes when she walked on the road.

Even so, Jiang Jin still felt a little uncomfortable.

The succubus is extremely weak.

Jiang Jin braved the cold wind and had to dig out another hat from her game warehouse, put it on her head, and protected her ears and cheeks tightly. Only then did she feel much more comfortable.

The residents of Alicante stared in amazement as Jiang Jin produced one thing after another as if by magic, and some even began to discuss in low voices.

"I heard from the city lord, she is our new city lord? She looks like she is only ten years old. Our God of Light, a little girl, how can she know how to govern a city?" Minba lowered his head with some disgust and said to his friend beside him.

Min Ba thought he spoke softly, but in fact his voice was loud and clear. Not only could the people around him hear it clearly, but even Yager beside Jiang Jin heard what he said.

Jiang Jin raised her eyebrows and walked towards the residents of Alicante with a calm expression.

"But you know what, he's quite good-looking. I just wonder how many people's beds he climbed on to reach the position of city lord."

Min Ba narrowed his eyes. Even though Jiang Jin was wrapped tightly now, the aura of a succubus on her body would still inexplicably attract the attention of the opposite sex.

"Yes, yes, it's top-notch!" The people around Min Ba stared at Jiang Jin in amazement, drooling as they muttered, "This is a hundred times better than those prostitutes that were brought in by that carriage a while ago."

"If only... hehe." Min Ba and his companions exchanged a glance and laughed obscenely twice.

Aunt Jiang's smiling face suddenly darkened. Most of the residents of Alicante are simple and kind, but there are a few rats that are really disgusting.

The two of them were speaking so brazenly that a few timid people glanced at the Knights, curled their lips, and walked away from them, "Don't get involved with me if you want to get yourself killed."

Min Ba was tall and thin. The person next to him was his cousin, who had dark skin and was relatively short. If Jiang Jin didn't look carefully, she would even think that this was a child who had not grown tall.

The two of them looked nothing alike, except for the disdain and vulgarity on their faces. Jiang Jin looked calm, and Yager pretended not to hear. Brooke felt that he had lost face before, and had no intention of standing up for Jiang Jin.

The knights behind Jiang Jin looked at each other, then at Brook's back, and then they didn't move at all, as if nothing had happened. Only the two maids were so angry that their faces turned blue and red, and they glared at Minba and the others fiercely.

"A woman should stay at home and take care of her husband and children. Looking at how frail she is, I don't even need to use my fists. She'll be scared to death if I just yell at her." Min Ba laughed and didn't take Jiang Jin seriously at all.

Even when Jiang Jin and her group approached, Min Ba couldn't shut up his chattering mouth.

Minba's cousin seemed to notice something and reached out to pull the corner of Minba's clothes, but Minba scolded him impatiently, "What are you doing! This is the only piece of clothing I have without patches, please don't ruin it."

"Look at this woman, you're touching me." Min Ba cursed again in a low voice. He raised his eyes and swept his gaze over the two maids behind Yager and Jiang Jin. He drooled and after looking around, he still felt that the little girl Jiang Jin was the prettiest.

"What a pity. Why would you want to be the city lord? It would be much happier to stay at home and take care of my baby than to be the city lord." Min Ba stared at Jiang Jin with eager eyes.

Jiang Jin suddenly laughed, she was so angry that she laughed.

There was a strange charm in her smile when she was extremely angry. Min Ba was stunned for a moment. He watched the crowd subconsciously make way for Jiang Jin, and then Jiang Jin strode towards him.

For a moment, Min Ba even thought about how many children he and Jiang Jin should have.

But then, a magic wand half a person's height suddenly appeared in Jiang Jin's palm. With a buzzing sound, it suddenly awakened Min Ba's few remaining consciousness.

"Magic...magician!?" Minba's pupils dilated and he screamed.
