Chapter 24: He is very bad, he stole my clothes...

Ivy stood in the middle of the maid team. She had finally managed to take a break in the afternoon, but she didn't expect to be found out by Yager even though she had hidden in the utility room. When she heard that Jiang Jin had arranged for her to do some rough work, she immediately became unhappy.

"This kind of rough and tiring work, all involving working with cement, how can it be assigned to us maids?" Ivy complained in a low voice with dissatisfaction, not to mention that she now has to clean the City Lord's Mansion inside and out at night, and has no time to rest at all.

These words floated on the wind until they fell into Jiang Jin's ears. She glanced at Ai Wei's unconvinced expression and was about to say a few more words when suddenly a maid with pigtails ran in from outside.

She seemed to have not expected that there would be so many people in the banquet hall at this time. She subconsciously stopped and looked at Yager for help.

"What happened?" Jiang Jin asked her.

The maid quickly saluted and pointed outside, shouting, "Lord City Lord! Those kids came this afternoon and started fighting in the yard! Lord Yager, please go and take a look!"

How did they start a fight? Jiang Jin stood up suddenly, frowning as she followed the anxious maid to the yard. The little one was placed in a basket, carried by Daisy and Bella.

Of course, as Jiang Jin passed by the male and female servants, her eyebrows raised, not forgetting the arrangements she had just made. "I just arranged it, you guys go and do it now, Yager, you follow up on this matter."

Yager understood that he should finish the renovation of the City Lord's Mansion now, and he would not be needed if the kids in front were fighting. Yager responded.

As the only housekeeper of the City Lord's Mansion, Yager was quite capable. At least the male and female servants had some complaints in their hearts but would not speak them out. Even Ivy was trained to be obedient, but she would stare at Yager's back with resentment from time to time.

A group of little kids of different heights stood in the yard, forming a circle around them. Some of them couldn't help but look at the two little boys inside who had been beaten and were bleeding.

A boy in a comfortable cotton coat was arrogant, his mouth bleeding. Several people beside him helped to pull a skinny little boy wearing only a piece of clothing to cover his body. He kept cursing, "Tracy, you are a complete waste and garbage that no one wants! How dare you!? How dare you compete with me?!"

Tracy was the skinny little boy with messy short dark brown hair. Although his body was covered with scars and his ankles were inexplicably bent, he exuded an exceptionally fierce aura.

He was clearly the one being beaten, his cheek skinned, yet he gritted his teeth, bared his teeth, stretched out his hands to grab others, and shouted, "It's me! It's me! It's me!"

"The clothes are mine! The work is mine too!"

Tracy listened to nothing and paid no attention to anything. Her dry lips opened and closed, repeating the same words.

"Fuck you!" the boy in the cotton coat cursed and punched Tracy in the face.

Tracy's face was grim. Although pain spread throughout his body, he still held on to the boy's clothes tightly and refused to let go no matter how he was beaten.

He was like a ferocious wolf. Even if he died, he would use his fangs to drag the person who hurt him and fall into hell with him.

"Stop!" When the boy was about to land his second punch, Jiang Jin spoke up to stop the farce.

But she was a little far away, and the boy spat on the ground, but did not stop, and punched Tracy hard, and kicked her to the ground.

When Jiang Jin felt it, the fierceness on his face slowly dissipated, revealing a touch of piety and joy as he shouted, "The Lord City Lord is well!"

Jiang Jin glanced at him and then lowered her head to look at Tracy. The child was skinny and bony. His face was covered in blood and skin because he had been severely beaten. His body was also covered with many bruises. He lowered his head, letting his short dark brown hair cover his eyes.

Just when everyone thought he had given up resistance, Tracy suddenly stood up again, stretched out his hands to grab the boy, gritted his teeth, and said word by word, "It's me! It's me!"

The boy was furious and didn't care that Jiang Jin was still there. He pushed Tracy hard and fell to the ground.

After doing all this, he looked at Jiang Jin cautiously.

"What exactly happened? Can anyone tell me?" Jiang Jin glanced at the thirteen little kids with a serious face. If there was no problem in this situation, it would be a lie.

The little carrot heads looked at each other without saying a word, and just fell to the ground and curled up. Tracy was still trying hard to get up again.

The little guy poked his head out of the basket and looked around curiously. He bit his fingers and didn't understand why Tracy had to lie on the ground in such cold weather.

Tracy knew his situation. He was like a stray dog, lowly and humble.

But he didn't want to let go. It was his thing! He couldn't just stand there and watch someone take away his things. It was his thing. It was the chance to survive that he had fought for. He wouldn't let it go!

Tracy staggered to his feet, with hot blood on his forehead flowing down his cheeks. He felt dizzy and almost fell down again. Suddenly, a pair of warm, white hands supported him.

"What's your name?" A gentle voice sounded above Tracy's head.

Tracy tried hard to look up, but his eyes were blurred by blood and snow. He could only see the outline of a beautiful woman in the sunlight. The words in Tracy's mouth turned on the tip of his tongue. He read out his name with difficulty but clearly, "Tracy, Lord City Lord, I am Tracy."

"Okay, Tracy, can you tell me what happened?" Jiang Jin was actually very soft-hearted. She couldn't bear to see people suffer, especially children.

Jiang Jin took out the magic wand from the warehouse and cast a healing spell on Tracy. Warm green light descended from the sky, as if bringing people back to their mother's arms. Tracy was stunned for a moment. He looked at Jiang Jin blankly, his eyes a little dazed and distracted.

In this situation, Tracy discovered for the first time a trace of grievance among her resentment.

He took a deep breath, suppressing the bitterness in his heart and said, "Leon, he stole my clothes and my work. He...he came and stole my clothes while I was sleeping. He also wanted to replace me. He is very bad. He stole my clothes..."

Under the comforting and warm light, Tracy was talking when she suddenly couldn't control her emotions and burst into tears.

He is still a child, and his speech is incoherent.

But Jiang Jin understood.
