Chapter 26: Unseen

When Leon's father was brought in, Jiang Jin was also shocked. His father was not a member of the Knights Templar, but one of the only two old gardeners in the city.

Because he was working with cement, his trousers were rolled up and his body was still stained with cement marks. He was sweating profusely and his back was slightly bent. He didn't look as strong as Leon said.

Evans was brimming with embarrassment. He pressed Leon's head with his dirty hands and pulled him hard, forcing him to bend over and apologize. "Lord Cheng, please calm down! Lord Cheng, please calm down! I'll definitely teach him a lesson when I get back!"

Jiang Jin glanced at Leon, who was still indignant, but now he looked at Evans with hatred. At such a young age, he didn't understand why his mother had to be so servile to Jiang Jin and why she didn't stand up for him.

"Okay, take him downstairs." Jiang Jin didn't make things difficult for him.

Evans bowed again with tears of gratitude. He quickly took Leon away, and Jiang Jin also released the magic that sealed the child's mouth.

Leon was very angry when he was dragged away, and even reached out and pushed Evans hard. But Evans was not angry at all. Instead, he bent over and licked his face to coax him.

From the way they got along, Jiang Jin suddenly understood why Leon had such an arrogant and domineering personality despite coming from an ordinary family.

He is Evans's son in his old age.

He was usually spoiled at home, and his parents always obeyed him and indulged him. In addition, Evans was a city dweller, so naturally he had some arrogance, which led to Leon's character.

This is a typical negative example.

Jiang Jin took another look at the little guy who was happily chewing his toes, then silently reached out and slapped him on the butt.

"Hmm?" The little guy stopped chewing and tilted his head to look at Jiang Jin. After a moment, he showed a silly smile and stretched out his hands for a hug.

"You little guy, why are you so spoiled? You're even more spoiled than a girl."

Jiang Jin pretended to be unhappy, but in fact, although she said no, her body was very honest.

She picked up the little guy from the basket and kissed him twice on his round little face.

The little guy was also very considerate and giggled non-stop, waving his chubby hands in the air, which made the atmosphere quite lively.

Tracy envied the little boy standing aside. Although his little boy's body was covered with scars, he was standing upright.

"Bella, take him downstairs, clean him up, give him some medicine and feed him something." Jiang Jin was also afraid that Tracy would not be able to hold on. Seeing the child's head covered in blood, his hands clenched tightly, and his body tense.

If the wound is not treated, Jiang Jin is afraid that his body will not survive.

When he was about to be taken away, Tracy panicked. He subconsciously tried to grab Jiang Jin and caught one of her little fingers. He stammered, "Master Cheng! I'm very capable! I'm very good at work."

Don't leave me.

The skinny and petite boy looked at Jiang Jin with a cautious and expectant look. He was really scared that Jiang Jin would think he was too skinny and would no longer want him.

Jiang Jin paused, feeling sad. She didn't know how to tell Tracy that since they were hired by the City Government, she would not let anyone leave easily unless there were special circumstances.

Before she could say anything, the little one in her arms started to move.

The little guy swayed from side to side, like a nimble loach, never feeling at ease anywhere. He tilted his head and stared at Tracy with his beautiful big eyes, then suddenly reached out his hand to him.

Tracy closed his eyes immediately. He was so scared that his body became stiff, thinking that he was going to be beaten again.

But after a while, a pair of soft little hands fell on his head. As the little guy babbled, Tracy's eyelashes trembled slightly. He opened his eyes and looked at the little guy who showed four small baby teeth and smiled with a silly face.

"He likes you very much." Jiang Jin said with a smile.

Then, she reached out and rubbed Tracy's head, making Tracy feel a little helpless. "I like you too, Tracy."

"Come on, follow Bella to clean your wound and eat something so you won't feel tired when you work later." Jiang Jin finally spoke.

Tracy was so excited that her head felt dizzy. She obeyed Aunt Jiang's words unconsciously and followed Bella out of the car.

There is only one left of the twelve children. Jiang Jin glanced at the little kids of different heights. In fact, these little kids have very weak abilities, but they can control things better than the adults who are already mature in thinking.

Jiang Jin wanted them to go to the Treasure House, sort out the damp and moldy grains, and pick out the moldy ones.

Moreover, Jiang Jin remembered that weapons were originally stored on the first floor of the Treasure House. The weapon racks were still there, but the weapons on them were nowhere to be found.

The second floor was where seeds were stored. Jiang Jin didn't see any seeds there, but she did see a group of lively mice. The third floor was where grain was stored, but most of it was moldy and damp.

The fourth floor was where treasures were stored, but now it is a place for birds to build nests. There is a big hole in the roof that has only been discovered until now. It can be guessed how poor the city government of Arunkant City is.

Fortunately, she had a game warehouse with her. Grateful, Jiang Jin thought about the one million gold coins on her and felt relieved.

Little Brandon stood in front of Luoboting and followed Jiang Jin into the granary happily.

As Daisy struggled to push open the granary door, Jiang Jin could sense Brandon's body stiffening in vain. Unable to contain herself, she began to cry out in a strange voice, "Oh, God of Light! So much food! So much food! Am I dreaming?"

Achenkant is a city with four seasons of sunshine. Because it is too sunny, the taxes are extremely heavy. Most people rent land from the city government and work hard all year round to barely earn a little food to support their families.

Some travelers from afar would stop in the city of Achenkant in the spring. They would sell all kinds of novel items brought from afar, including food. Whenever spring came, it meant that Brandon could have a full meal.

They couldn't even imagine in their dreams that there would be a room full of food in front of them! What a happy thing that would be! They would probably wake up laughing in their dreams.

Little Brandon pinched herself hard, and she cried out in pain, "Oh my god! It's true! There's so much food!"

Several little kids excitedly grabbed each other's arms. As Jiang Jin spread a clean blanket on the ground, they began to feel sorry for this beautiful and warm blanket.

She looked so pitiful, like she had never seen the world before. It made Jiang Jin feel so sorry for her.

Jiang Jin wished she could quickly make the city of Achenkant better so that these little guys could have enough food and clothing and live a carefree life.

She opened a bag of grain and pushed it to the ground. The little carrots all made cautious hisses. On the one hand, they felt that Jiang Jin was too rude to treat the grain like this, and on the other hand, they were afraid that a grain of grain would slip away.

Everyone's eyes were wide open, watching Jiang Jin's actions without blinking.

"Your goal this afternoon is to pick out the whole grains and put them in the bag, and put the damp and moldy ones in the other side." Jiang Jin demonstrated it to them.

"A grain like this one, with a golden shell, plump and complete, without any black spots or peculiar smell, can be classified as a natural grain." Jiang Jin held up the small grain of rice in her hand and showed it to a few little carrots.

Brandon carefully placed it in his hand and made a wow sound, and the other little carrots did the same.
