Chapter 43: The Best Supervisor

This time, Jiang Jin asked Daisy to recruit a total of fourteen young and strong men. She had to organize the task hall in a short time.

On the first day, Jiang Jin led the way. She needed to explain her ideas to everyone clearly to prevent them from doing something wrong and disrupting her rhythm.

So, early that morning, the knights from the City Lord's Mansion led the way, the carriages in front, and the people following on foot, carrying hoes and baskets on their backs. To help them keep up, Jiang Jin even specifically told the driver, "Slow down."

Later, Jiang Jin realized that she had worried too much. Although these men in Alicante were not all skinny, their physical fitness was dozens of streets ahead of Jiang Jin. Even if a carriage was running in front, they could follow it with ease.

Balke was in the crowd and couldn't help but look at the carriage, wondering if Daisy had come today.

As the city lord's personal maid, she should be here, right?

Balke felt a vague sense of anticipation in his heart. The basket behind him contained a treasure he had picked up from the Misty Forest a few days ago.

When he went out this morning, for some reason he suddenly thought that Daisy might like it. Thinking of this, Balk stuffed it into the basket.

The carriage was about to stop in front of the chapel. Balke stretched his head, but only saw Jiang Jin and a maid with an unfamiliar face beside her.

"Didn't he come?" The light in Balk's eyes gradually dimmed, and he couldn't help but wonder, "Is he sick? It was so cold yesterday."

But soon, Balke no longer had time to think about these messy things.

"I'm going to tear down the outer wall and rebuild it. From the main gate to the corridor, the path will remain the same, but it will be covered with cobblestones, leaving the sides empty."

Jiang Jin stood in front of everyone and told them what was in her mind.

"Although this abandoned church does not have a tall roof, it only has one floor. This is the design drawing for your next project." Jiang Jin took out fourteen sheets of paper with various drawings and data from the warehouse.

There is a saying that goes, plans cannot keep up with changes.

Jiang Jin had calculated everything, and even simulated in her mind the various problems that would arise in the construction of the mission hall. However, no matter how much she thought about it, she forgot that everyone in Alicante was illiterate!

Not only were they illiterate, they even had trouble understanding the data and numbers marked on Jiang Jin's paper.

"What are these paintings about?" Balk's brother asked him, scratching his head with a frown on his face. "If you can't understand what's painted on it, don't come here anymore."

Everyone looked at each other in confusion at the pictures in their hands. Jiang Jin looked at their confused expressions and felt helpless.

Jiang Jin sighed and thought that it was time to advance the national learning process.

As a humble worker who once worked 996, Jiang Jin is good at everything, but her ability to withstand pressure and solve problems is top priority.

"Just imagine them as interns who have just joined the company to work on a project!" Jiang Jin tried hard to give herself this mental hint.

The magic wand in the warehouse moved randomly. Jiang Jin estimated the magic power in his body and waved the magic wand in the air. In an instant, a silver-white water wave appeared in the air, like a huge white board spanning the air. Everyone could see it clearly when they looked up.

As Jiang Jin waved her magic wand, she actually re-drew the picture on the paper in the air!

Balke and others were stunned, and even opened their mouths slightly in shock, until Jiang Jin explained the measurement method to them in the simplest and most rough way, explaining all the data on the picture.

"The height of the wall is equivalent to twice your height." Jiang Jin thought for a moment and nodded at Balk. "Paint the furniture and paint the walls white."

Her action made the nervous Balk straighten his back silently.

There was also the task panel above the task hall, the desk, the chairs and furniture. Jiang Jin explained them one by one until her mouth became dry.

Fortunately, everyone listened very carefully, which gave Jiang Jin great confidence and encouragement. At the end, she also asked, "Is there anything unclear?"

Everyone looked at each other embarrassedly, and there was silence everywhere.

Jiang Jin's heart suddenly skipped a beat.

No way? No way?

I've been talking for so long, but no one understood?

Jiang Jin was exhausted and had no choice but to bear the consequences of her own sins. She took a deep breath and was about to speak for the second time when someone in the crowd suddenly raised their hand.

"My Lord City Lord, there's one thing I'm not clear on. What do you mean by painting the table?"

Balke looked at Jiang Jin embarrassedly. When he met Jiang Jin's gaze, his body stiffened a little. He even wondered if it was because he was too stupid that Jiang Jin showed that expression.

"Paint can prevent moisture and corrosion." Jiang Jin explained with gestures.

Balk suddenly realized.

Jiang Jin looked at him and seemed to see hope! God, finally someone understood!

To verify her idea, Jiang Jin quickly asked a few questions, "Are you clear about the size data? How long should the table be? How high should the wall be?"

Balk replied nervously, "Two on the wall, and one on each side of the hall table. They need to fill the entire hall. I've forgotten the exact length, but you can measure it with a piece of straw rope and mark it. Then you can make furniture based on the marks."

The young man looked dazed, but he was quite intelligent.

He didn't understand the data that Jiang Jin said, but he could quickly convert what he didn't understand into a way that he could understand and use it for his own benefit.

Jiang Jin was not familiar with their way of life, so she had never thought of using straw ropes as markings. It was Balke who gave her new ideas and new possibilities.

"The wooden planks hanging on the wall that the Lord City Lord mentioned can be fixed in place with nails and straw ropes."

The more Balke spoke, the brighter Jiang Jin's eyes became.

At this moment, Balke was immediately separated by Jiang Jin from the thirteen people.

Just give him some room to grow. I believe Balk will soon grow into a towering tree, and even become Jiang Jin's right-hand man.

Jiang Jin was also happy to give people like Balke room to grow. She walked up to Balke and asked, "What's your name?"

"Balke, Lord Mayor." The dark and thin young man saluted Jiang Jin carefully. He didn't dare to look up at Jiang Jin's radiant face. He just lowered his eyes and looked at his toes. Because he felt Jiang Jin approaching, even his breathing paused for a moment.

"Balk, if I appoint you as the supervisor of this work, how will you manage these thirteen people?" Jiang Jin's light words caught Balk off guard.

He was not very smart, but he understood Jiang Jin's words just right.

If his answer satisfies Jiang Jin, Balke will inevitably become the supervisor.

He took a deep breath and glanced at his two brothers out of the corner of his eye. They were both cheering him on. Balk was silent for a moment and said, "On the first day, I will divide the fourteen people into three groups. One group will go to the Misty Forest to cut wood, one group will move mud and bricks, and the other group will clean up the debris and make all the preparations."

"I'll reorganize the team the next day, and we'll do our best to get the exterior wall done today."

"Elsie and Triumph are good carpenters, so I'll assign three people to handle the furniture work. Collins and Adam are strong, Noah and Barton are careful and quick, and Hicks and Simon..."

Balke actually understood the characteristics of these thirteen people clearly, and even pointed them out to Jiang Jin one by one.

Those whose names he called stood nervously and saluted Jiang Jin with red faces.

Balk is the best candidate for supervisor!
