Chapter 56: How to Tame an Angry Dragon Cub

You can't teach swordsmanship with just dry, easily broken branches.

When Jiang Jin made up her mind to change the situation in the City Lord's Mansion, she began to prepare for this day with the magic power she had accumulated for a long time.

Jiang Jin placed the dry branch on the counter, glanced at the twenty-four men in the mission hall, and said to Balk, "Balk, take Triumph with you to find Daisy and get the box off my carriage."

The two did not dare to delay and returned with the box quickly.

It was an ordinary wooden box without even a lock on it. It was simply tied with two ropes. It didn't look very heavy, but it was particularly heavy. Balk and Trem were both out of breath while carrying it.

"What's in here? Why is it so heavy?" Balke shook his sore arms, looking a little curious.

"Sword, it's a sword!" Trem's eyes lit up.

Just when he was moving the box, he heard a ping-pong sound from inside. It was clearly the sound of a device hitting wood. There was no way Triem would have heard it wrong!

"Impossible." Balk hesitated.

He has always been a cautious and prudent person, and will not make a conclusion easily when things are not completely certain.

What's more, there is no blacksmith in the city of Achunkant, so how could there be a long sword? If there is, it must be an old weapon discarded by the city lord's mansion. Balk has thought about this thoroughly.

However, this time he was totally wrong.

Jiang Jin took two steps forward and opened the lid of the box, revealing twenty-four shiny silver swords inside!

The twenty-four long swords were all sharpened, yet they already revealed an extraordinary aura. Jiang Jin had spent several days and nights using her magic to refine the copper and iron, daily necessities stored in the warehouse. It could be said that each of these long swords was fused with Jiang Jin's painstaking efforts.

Jiang Jin casually pulled out a handful of sticks and handed it to Balk. Facing Balk's disbelieving and panicked gaze, Jiang Jin smiled and said, "Take it. Otherwise, are you going to use dead branches to learn swordsmanship?"

Balk hurriedly caught the long sword that Jiang Jin thrust at him. His hands, which had only ever held a hoe and a sickle, trembled slightly. When Trem beside him eagerly took the long sword from Jiang Jin, Balk finally came to his senses and said in surprise, "It really is a sword!"

But Trem was so obsessed with holding his sword that he had no time to talk to Balk.

Jiang Jin did not urge them, but watched with a smile as they grabbed the sword, touching it again and again with care, or hugging it tightly and refusing to let go, and some even wanted to bite it with their mouths.

Yes, the person who bit the sword with his mouth was Noah.

Jiang Jin was overwhelmed by his impressive skills. She was so amused that she couldn't help but stop Noah's movements. "Noah, thank goodness I haven't sharpened these swords yet. Otherwise, with the way you bite, you would be knocked down by your own sword before you even duel with the Knights."

Everyone burst into laughter when Jiang Jin described Noah. Noah chuckled a bit and said, "I've been wondering for a long time how the Knights' swords, so thin, could draw blood with just one strike. Is there some kind of mechanism? I've always wanted to bite them to see if my teeth or the sword are harder."

Everyone laughed again, and the silly Noah also scratched his head and laughed. The atmosphere was very harmonious.

In fact, it was not just Noah. Among the twenty-four people present, not one had ever touched a sword.

Now everyone is holding their swords and is extremely excited.

Why not just let them get familiar with each other first, Jiang Jin thought, sat back in the chair, picked up the little guy Lucas and teased him for a while.

Little Lucas was a bit naughty. His eyes were completely attracted by the long sword. He didn't want to pay any attention to Jiang Jin. He waved his little hand, pointed at Balk's long sword, and then looked at Jiang Jin with a pair of bright eyes, "Jiang Jiang, I want it!"

This time, Jiang Jin understood!

"Kid, you are too young to play with swords." Jiang Jin tried to persuade Lucas by using her young age.

Lucas pouted and refused to listen. He had made up his mind to get a sword to play with.

Jiang Jin knew very well what he was thinking. This little rascal didn't really want a sword to wield, he was inspired by Noah and wanted to try biting it!

With his sharp little teeth and hands that could easily break things, Jiang Jin really didn't dare to give him a long sword, fearing that he would tear it into pieces in a few strokes.

The little guy in her arms had puffy cheeks, like a little goldfish. Jiang Jin knew that the little guy was sulking with her again.

"Have I been pampering you too much lately? Huh? You get so angry over the smallest things." Jiang Jin pinched his little face amusedly, earning a series of babbling sounds.

Lucas opened his mouth wide, revealing his four small baby teeth, and made a ferocious look as if he was going to bite Jiang Jin's finger.

Jiang Jin didn't move, even raised her eyebrows slightly, and put her fingers into his mouth.

The warm and moist little mouth instantly wrapped around Jiang Jin's fingers, and Lucas licked Jiang Jin hard with his tongue.

He didn't dare to bite. After he snorted at Jiang Jin last time, Lucas knew that Jiang Jin was very fragile. Even if he touched her with his teeth, she would feel pain.

Don't let her feel pain.

Even though Lucas was sulking alone, he still remembered this important thing.

Jiang Jin suppressed her laughter, thinking that the sulking little guy was particularly cute! She reached out her other hand and touched the top of the little guy's head.

Jiang Jin has become very skilled in dealing with angry and frightened dragon cubs.

First, stroke the dragon cub's golden curly fur downwards, and when you are satisfied with the touch, gently pat his back to let the cute dragon cub relax, then hold him in your arms and rub his belly.

After going through this whole process, I guarantee he will open his arms and legs and happily ask for a hug.

Sure enough, after being touched for a while, Lucas smiled so hard that his teeth were showing, and he lay obediently in Jiang Jin's arms, acting like a competent mascot.

But Jiang Jin never expected that Trem would pass by her from behind with a sword in his arms, and was grabbed by Lucas who was hanging on Jiang Jin's shoulder. Then he opened his mouth wide and bit her with lightning speed!

A crisp sound of "click" rang in Jiang Jin's ears.

Jiang Jin screamed in her heart that something was wrong. She turned her head suddenly and saw that little Lucas was biting half of the long sword in his mouth, while Trem was holding the other half, with a dazed look on his face, as if he had not come to his senses yet.

"Lucas!" Jiang Jin screamed, feeling a little overwhelmed. She was so worried about this naughty little guy.

Lucas chewed it, and before he could swallow it, Jiang Jin managed to save two-thirds of the sword.

The rest of the time, because he couldn't pry open Lucas's mouth, he could only watch him swallow it.
