Chapter 63: What kind of family is this? So extravagant!

Outside, the cold wind mixed with snow brought a biting chill. The eaves could not block the wind at all, not to mention that Tracy was wearing a muddy and soaked cotton coat. Her face was pale, her lips were bloodless, and there was a circle of unmelted snow on her head, like a head of white hair.

Tracy himself didn't realize how embarrassed he was at the moment. He stared at Lina, looking a little uneasy.

This fat aunt Lina is an ordinary little gossip genius. As long as she knows something, it will spread throughout the city of Alicante in less than half a day, so Tracy doesn't want her to see her bad side.

Tracy is young, but she has already started to care about her reputation.

Unfortunately, the God of Light certainly didn't hear Tracy's prayer, because a moment later, Lina put her hands on her hips and shouted, "Oh my God of Light! Whose little brat rolled in the mud?!"

Her voice was so loud and powerful that it frightened Tracy.

"Aunt Lina, it's me." Tracy whispered softly, hiding her face in her collar and trying to avoid Lina's sight.

It was snowing heavily outside, and Lina couldn't hear Tracy's voice clearly. She squinted her eyes for a long time, and when she saw that it was Tracy, she immediately widened her eyes and cursed, "Tracy? You're dressed like this! Do you want to see the God of Light tomorrow?!"

Lina was sharp-eyed and quickly noticed Tracy's muddy, soaked clothes. Without a word, she grabbed him and dragged him inside. As she did so, she slapped him on the back of the head and scolded him, "Do you know how cold it is outside? Sitting here like an idiot? I thought only Brandon could do something like that. You're already so old, why don't you use your brains?"

While scolding Tracy, Lina also wanted to drag out the unpleasant little guy Brandon and whip him again.

Tracy's face flushed as she listened to Lina's words.

"Aunt?" Tracy stepped back subconsciously. He was not used to such close contact with others.

Seeing his wary and frightened look, Lina thought she had frightened him by being too aggressive. Thinking of Brandon's attitude towards her, Lina softened her expression slightly and said to Tracy, "Tracy, go to your aunt's house and change your clothes."

I heard that he had a falling out with the Evans family some time ago, and Lina guessed without a doubt that Tracy must have nowhere to go.

Such a little kid, without an adult around, how could he take care of himself? He was lucky to live this long, Lina thought, and sighed lightly.

Lina brought the people in and closed the door to block out the snowstorm. She started cursing again. When she grabbed Tracy's wrist, she paused. The wrist she held was bone. She cursed under her breath, "Goddamn Evans, you said so much when you accepted the gold coins. I swear to God I will treat you like my own son."

"Now he's been raised to be as thin as a stick. What a sin! Sooner or later, the God of Light will make people like him suffer."

Tracy followed behind Lina in a daze, feeling inexplicably bitter in his heart. It might be because Lina was angry with him from his perspective, or it might be because it was the first time someone was angry with someone else because of his feelings.

This feeling was very strange. It was like Brandon's mother always protected Brandon and his siblings in this way. Whenever someone bullied her children, she would rush over like a ferocious beast to ask for an explanation. Tracy secretly glanced at Lina and felt a little happy.

She cursed the Evans family over and over again for ten minutes. Tracy had never heard anyone curse so smoothly without repeating a word. Suddenly, her gratitude turned into admiration and respect.

Lina had no idea that one day she would be admired and respected for her ability to curse. She was busy changing Tracy's clothes, shouting, "Raise your hands! We don't have any clothes for the kid at home. Put on my son's old clothes and wait a moment."

Tracy nodded and obediently let her do whatever she wanted. She raised her hands to take off her wet clothes, put on Aunt Lina's son's old clothes, and sat on the chair. He held the hot water that Lina handed over and drank it in small sips, while Aunt Lina was busy running around.

"Auntie, I, I can wash it." Tracy's face flushed as she grabbed her dirty clothes.

After being hit hard on the arm by Lina, Lina glared at him and scolded him, "With your tiny arms and legs, can you really wash them clean? Don't cause trouble for your aunt."

So Tracy was forced to sit on the chair again.

Lina dragged a wooden basin and squatted at the door to wash clothes for Tracy. Tracy really wanted to help, so he wanted to go to the stove to pour Lina a glass of water.

He picked up a wooden cup lightly, his eyes passing over the beans boiling on the stove. Tracy quickly poured a cup of hot water and scooped it out.

"Hey, why are you pouring water? Am I the kind of person who would be so squeamish as to stop and drink water after doing some work?" Lina scolded again.

Good father Tracy already knew Aunt Lina's character. He grinned and insisted on handing the water to Lina.

Lina couldn't resist him, so she wiped the water stains off her clothes, took the hot water and gulped it down.

Her rough hands were blue and cold, with water stains on them.

In winter, the residents of Alicante cherish firewood, and Lina is a frugal middle-aged woman who is reluctant to boil water for washing clothes.

According to her, washing clothes with hot water is a luxury for everyone!

"After washing, just dry it on the stove." Lina glanced at Tracy and said, "Luckily you ran into me, you little brat. If I hadn't found you, you would have frozen to death on the street corner."

"Be careful when you walk next time. You're such an adult, but you're so clumsy." Lina started muttering.

Tracy didn't object, but smiled happily while holding the water.

He liked to hear Lina scolding him with her hands on her hips, like a loving mother who habitually nags her children about things that are right or wrong. Tracy even hoped that Lina could continue reading for a while.

Unfortunately, the clothes were soon dried by the stove. He put on warm cotton clothes, stood in front of Lina's door and bowed to her, which made Lina scold him again.

Far from being unhappy, Tracy said goodbye to Lina with a smile on her face.

"This silly kid, he laughs even when I scold him. What's so funny about that?" Lina was confused and finally came to a conclusion, "He's so stupid, no wonder he's bullied by the Evans family every day."

Lina is the most hardworking woman in Alicante. She lost her husband and son at an early age. As a woman, she must be energetic every day in order to support herself.

That morning, she was wearing a washed-out apron. As she pushed open the door, she nearly tripped over the small cloth bag at the door, shouting, "Oh, God of Light, who is this unlucky bastard who's out to harm me?!"

Lina's round face showed a look of shock. She patted her chest, bent down, grabbed the small cloth bag, opened it and took a look.

"Oh my goodness, it's all food." Lina was shocked when she saw it. She leaned over to take a look, but didn't dare to look any more. She immediately closed the cloth bag.

This amount of food is enough for one person to eat three or four meals. Lina swallowed her saliva, closed her eyes and prepared herself mentally.

A few minutes later, Lina put her hands on her hips and yelled, "Who was the fool who dropped this thing?"

It was quiet all around, with no other sound except her echo.

"That's strange." Lina scratched her head in confusion and looked around.

She didn't see a thin figure crouching in the corner, covering his mouth and laughing secretly. When the first rays of morning light appeared, he looked up at the sky and then ran away to the City Lord's Mansion.
