I became alert; the voice sounded very familiar.

However, the person holding on was not very strong; they could break free with the slightest movement.

He took out his soft sword, and when he turned around and saw that the person in front of him was Zeng Chenhua, he relaxed and quickly put away the soft sword.

She let out a long breath, "It's you." Her tone held a secret joy that Jiang Chaoyu was unaware of.

He thought he looked alright to outsiders, but from Zeng Chenhua's perspective, the blood on his forehead and the corner of his mouth had dried, he was deathly pale, and he was still grinning foolishly, unable to hold the soft sword in his hand.

He rushed forward to support her, "How did you get so badly injured?"

Hearing Zeng Chenhua say that the injury was serious, Jiang Chaoyu felt good about herself. She was just a little tired from running, but otherwise there was nothing wrong.

He patted his chest and said, "I'm not badly injured, it's alright~ cough cough..."

When Jiang Chaoyu was filming, she forgot about the palm strike Xie Yunyin had delivered to her chest. She had used too much force when she was proving it, and this added a new injury to her old one.

Looking at Jiang Chaoyu's current appearance, Zeng Chenhua knew that Jiang Chaoyu was just showing off.

He had intended to come and watch Shanyao and the others do their mission today, but before he knew it, Jiang Chaoyu appeared right in front of him. She must have used her skill; she always appears and disappears without a trace.

"You said you weren't injured, but you haven't even wiped the blood from the corner of your mouth." As he spoke, he used the handkerchief in his hand to wipe the blood from Jiang Chaoyu's mouth and then held it up in front of Jiang Chaoyu to prove it to her.

After looking at it, Jiang Chaoyu glanced away somewhat unnaturally, not realizing that there was still blood left at the corner of her mouth.

"Thanks."

I didn't know what to say, but I still wanted to thank them. Now that I had someone by my side, I wasn't afraid even if they caught up with me.

However, Jiang Chaoyu noticed that Zeng Chenhua wasn't using his jade cane, so he must have come out quietly.

As his eyes darted around, he spotted Shanyao and Yunqi, who were chatting with some locals. He didn't know what they were talking about, but the people around them were laughing heartily.

Jiang Chaoyu gestured for Zeng Chenhua to look at the location of Shanyao and the others, "Where are they?"

Her eyes held a hint of doubt, and she forgot that Zeng Chenhua was still holding her wrist. Following her gaze, he said, "It's just a small matter."

But Jiang Chaoyu didn't believe these words. Why would Zeng Chenhua be standing here for something so trivial?

She leaned closer to Zeng Chenhua, wanting to see if what he said was true. "Really?"

A gentle breeze ruffled Jiang Chaoyu's hair, then brushed against Zeng Chenhua's face, causing a sudden ticklish sensation that left Zeng Chenhua unsure whether it was his face or his heart that was itching. Up close, he could also smell Jiang Chaoyu's faint fragrance, like the scent of pear blossoms.

Jiang Chaoyu only then realized that Zeng Chenhua was still holding her wrist, so she quickly let go of his hand and looked away.

Zeng Chenhua was stunned for a moment, then quickly realized what was happening and replied evasively, "Of course it's true."

Why were you injured today?

Upon hearing Zeng Chenhua bring up this matter, Jiang Chaoyu became furious. "I get angry just thinking about it. What kind of methods does Xie Yunyin have to know about the unique things of the Crescent Moon Sect?"

"Oh?" Zeng Chenhua raised an eyebrow upon hearing this, his eyes holding a hint of something intriguing.

But seeing Zeng Chenhua's complicated expression, she knew he must know something, and she wanted to find out the truth from him.

"Do you know something?"

As soon as he looked up, he met Jiang Chaoyu's probing gaze. Zeng Chenhua was still pondering whether or not he should say anything. He remembered that these things had not happened in his previous life, so they must have been deliberately done by Xie Yunyin, who carried the memories of his previous life.

But when he looked at Jiang Chaoyu, he hesitated for a long time before shaking his head, indicating that he was unaware of the matter.

For some reason, Jiang Chaoyu felt that Zeng Chenhua was a relatively trustworthy person, so she released more information.

"Then are you aware of the alliance between the Chu Kingdom and Xie Yunyin?"

Upon hearing this, Zeng Chenhua's eyes widened in disbelief, his brows furrowing. "Is this really true?"

Seeing Zeng Chenhua's reaction, it seemed he had the same thought as her. Her guess was also very unbelievable, but after Xie Yunyin admitted it himself, she felt he had gone mad.

"Of course, I heard it from him personally."

It seems things have changed a lot, and we can't stick to the old ways.

Zeng Chenhua took out some pills from his pocket and handed them to Jiang Chaoyu, a gesture that stunned Jiang Chaoyu. "Do you carry medicine with you at all times?" From the beginning until now, Zeng Chenhua seemed to be a walking pharmacy.

“I used to get injured while practicing martial arts, so I’m used to carrying medicine with me.” He grabbed Jiang Chaoyu’s wrist and placed the medicine in her palm. Afraid that she wouldn’t accept it, he emphasized, “You’ll feel much better after taking the medicine. Otherwise, if you go back to the manor covered in injuries, people will definitely suspect something.”

That's certainly true, but Jiang Chaoyu's eyes flickered slightly, and she had a feeling of uncertainty. She wasn't quite sure what it was.

I tilted my head back and swallowed the medicine directly. Perhaps it was a placebo effect, but I didn't feel as much pain after taking the medicine.

"I really don't know how to thank you enough for all the help you've given me." Her eyes sparkled, and her smile was constant as she looked at Zeng Chenhua. She was truly grateful to him.

At first, she disliked Zeng Chenhua because of a misunderstanding, but as she got to know him, she found that he was actually a very sincere person.

As long as she's happy, I'm happy.

"You even saved my life, what does this little bit of help matter?"

Jiang Chaoyu didn't know how to respond to these words.

"Seeing that you're injured, I'll take you into the city," Zeng Chenhua said first. He noticed she wasn't wearing a veil, and some people in the capital had seen Jiang Chaoyu before. Although it was unlikely, it would be terrible if they happened to bump into each other.

With a snap of his fingers, Yun Qi appeared not far away, arriving in a carriage.

"Miss Jiang." Upon seeing this, she got out of the car and bowed, then said to Zeng Chenhua, "My lord, today's mission is complete. What's the next step?"

Looking at the yams behind Yun Qi, Jiang Chaoyu greeted him with a smile.

"First, send it to a place not far from the Jiang residence."

Zeng Chenhua turned around and saw Jiang Chaoyu waving to Shanyao, so he reminded her, "Ayu, get in the car."

Before she could speak, Zeng Chenhua called out to her. She paused for a moment, then quickly replied, "Okay." Before getting into the carriage, she waved to Shanyao.

This wave of the hand also piqued Yun Qi's curiosity. As they walked alongside the carriage, he leaned over and whispered to Shan Yao, "When did you become so intimate with the Second Miss?"

"Men should mind their own business when it comes to women's affairs." Unexpectedly, Yam didn't say anything at all and changed the subject instead.

Seeing this, Yunqi had no choice but to slowly follow the carriage into the city.

On the other side, Zeng Chenhua helped Jiang Chaoyu into the car and was relieved to see that she was not in any discomfort.

How do you feel right now?

Zeng Chenhua leaned closer to Jiang Chaoyu and asked about her injuries.

However, Jiang Chaoyu felt fine. Perhaps Zeng Chenhua's medicine was too effective; she felt no discomfort at the moment. She shook her head, still praising Zeng Chenhua's medicine, "Second Prince, your medicine is truly wonderful. I feel completely refreshed in no time."

"Really?" Hearing Jiang Chaoyu's praise, Zeng Chenhua didn't feel there was anything to be proud of; as long as she was alright, that was all that mattered.

After saying that, Jiang Chaoyu didn't know what to say. The only sound in the large carriage was breathing. Feeling a little embarrassed, Jiang Chaoyu turned her attention to the interior decoration of the carriage.

Strangely enough, Jiang Chaoyu felt a sense of familiarity with every place, as if she had sat there before.

If she were to follow her instincts, she would surely find medicine in the drawer in front of her. Looking up and meeting Zeng Chenhua's gaze, she asked somewhat shyly, "Your Highness, may I open this?"

"On this carriage, Ah Yu can open whatever she wants." Including my heart...

Fortunately, Jiang Chaoyu doesn't have mind-reading abilities, otherwise, hearing this sentence would have sounded like a cheesy pickup line from their world.

Since Zeng Chenhua said so, she didn't stand on ceremony and directly opened the nearest drawer. The moment she opened it halfway, a strong smell of medicine filled the air. Jiang Chaoyu frowned slightly, and only after opening it completely did she realize her intuition was correct.

But Jiang Chaoyu was very puzzled. Why did it feel right? Could it be that she had actually ridden in this carriage before?

"May I ask, Your Highness, when did this carriage come into existence?"

He didn't know why Jiang Chaoyu suddenly asked this, but he still answered directly, "I bought it last year, but I haven't ridden it many times."

These words made Jiang Chaoyu even more confused. If it was before she transmigrated, she could have an excuse to say it was the original owner's memories. But she was already in this world last year, so why?

Jiang Chaoyu still couldn't figure it out, so she continued to open the other drawers in the compartment based on her intuition, and without exception, she confirmed that they were all correct.

A fog of confusion welled up in her mind, enveloping her layer by layer, leaving her with no way to escape.

Her brow furrowed, her thoughts wandered, and her eyes were filled with confusion and worry. This feeling was something she couldn't grasp, and something she couldn't unravel.

"Ah Yu, we've arrived."

Zeng Chenhua hadn't noticed Jiang Chaoyu's unusual behavior until after parking the car, when he noticed she seemed preoccupied. His call brought Jiang Chaoyu back to reality, and she looked up to meet Zeng Chenhua's worried gaze.

"W-what's wrong?" Her brow relaxed, and she looked at Zeng Chenhua with a bewildered expression.

"You seemed preoccupied earlier, were you thinking about something?"

"Nothing, have we arrived yet?"

"We've arrived." Zeng Chenhua didn't press Jiang Chaoyu further; since she didn't want to talk about it, he let it go.

"Then I'll get off the bus. I'd like to say thank you again."

"Your business is my business."

Perhaps Jiang Chaoyu hadn't yet recovered from her thoughts, as she didn't even clearly hear Zeng Chenhua's words, which sounded like a confession. Watching her preoccupied figure, he instructed Shanyao to follow Jiang Chaoyu and return safely once they reached the Jiang residence.

Watching her retreating figure, Zeng Chenhua thought of his past life. Even at the very end, he did not realize that Jiang Chaoyu had awakened her past life memories. Would this life be different?

His eyes held an unfathomable depth. Should he be happy or sad if Ayu awakened her memories? And would she blame him if she did?

With a slight sneer, he thought, "Whatever, as long as Ah Yu is happy."

"My lord, the Crown Prince urgently summons you!"
