Chapter 159 Demolition

Time moves forward silently, some people leave and some people come.

There are partings and there are reunions.

Different experiences and feelings every day are the flavor of a vibrant life.

Tang Yuxuan left, and Han Zhiyuan and Cheng Suqing came.

The busy work is gone and the happy Spring Festival holiday is here.

During the Spring Festival this year, I heard about the changes in the village. More people working away from home came back.

There were many relatives who came to visit, and several matchmakers took the girls to Hushan Village, which was a rare opportunity for them to take people around the village committee. Many things went smoothly.

The village committee also arranged some small Spring Festival activities on the first, third and fifth days of the New Year, and the cultural square was also open all day.

In the crew's footage, the New Year in Hushan Village was particularly lively.

The liveliness is in the family gatherings, in the smiling faces, and in everyone’s heart.

With hope, life naturally becomes more colorful.

The men's cigarettes and drinks tasted the same as usual, but now they tasted different.

The women were eating sunflower seeds and gossiping, and the stories they told were all joyous and festive.

The children didn't understand all that. They just thought it was great that their mom and dad hadn't beaten them for several days, so they happily set off the firecrackers they had in their hands in every corner of the village.

The only regret is that there is not even a pile of cow dung on the village road now, so playing with firecrackers has become much less fun.

There is no need to say much about the old couple Han Zhiyuan. They eat and drink well every day, and then stroll around the village with their hands behind their backs, chatting and laughing with the villagers. Sometimes, when they are in a good mood, they even sit down at someone else's dinner table and have a couple of glasses of wine, which makes them feel much more relaxed.

No one initiated it, and even Huo Qianli didn't expect it, but the villagers of Hushan Village spontaneously called the college students who had stayed in their homes for a few days and wished them a happy new year.

The Gu family was full of joy. If there was any regret, it was that Gu Daqiang's eldest son still hadn't come back.

But it seemed that the couple had gotten used to it and had never even made a phone call in front of Huo Qianli and the others.

When the familiar voices of the Spring Festival Gala sounded, good or bad, happy or painful, everything that was unsaid was hidden in the glasses of wine and the sounds of firecrackers.

On New Year’s Eve, fireworks purchased with public funds by the village committee screamed into the sky and exploded loudly in the village committee’s dam.

A flash of white light appeared in the sky, illuminating every pair of eyes in the yards of the village.

The new year has arrived as promised, amidst joy and hope.

On the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, I went back to work.

There is a meeting early in the morning on the first day of work.

No one dared to neglect this seriously inhumane arrangement.

Because this is the first meeting after the establishment of the Industrial Park Management Committee.

The meeting place was of course the village committee of Hushan Village.

Management Committee Director Zheng Qiang, two deputy directors, and other members of the Management Committee;

Gu Daqiang, general manager of the Industrial Investment Company, three deputy general managers, and other relevant personnel;

As well as special adviser Huo Qianli, all the important figures of the management committee were present.

After some polite words of New Year's greetings, Zheng Qiang gave a detailed introduction to the project goals and recent work of the first phase of the industrial park, and made detailed arrangements to assign specific tasks to specific people.

When the new official took office, no one dared to bring bad luck, and tasks were assigned smoothly.

From a broad perspective, the initial work of the industrial park is not complicated.

Basically, it involves four aspects: construction of planting bases; site selection, construction and establishment of medicinal material factories; investment promotion for other enterprises; and infrastructure construction.

But when it comes to discussing specific measures, many complicated and trivial matters are involved.

For example, one of the items in the major infrastructure construction: the mountain road from Hushan Village to Shangu Town, is enough to arouse everyone's enthusiasm for discussion.

The first issue to be addressed is the issue of demolition.

The mountain road is less than two meters wide, and it is difficult to drive even on motorcycles on normal days. If it is to be rebuilt, it naturally needs to be widened.

Comrades from the Transportation Bureau and the winning construction unit went to the site to check it out, and the conclusions they came to were similar to those reached by Huo Qianli and Gu Daqiang.

Most of the dozen or so households along the mountain road had to relocate.

At first, Huo Qianli was puzzled. Why did these people build their houses on the roadside and cause so much trouble?

After hearing this, Gu Daqiang laughed for a long time and told him that it was not because they built their houses to the side of the road, but because they built their houses that the road was slowly created here.

Huo Qianli finally reacted and scratched his head in embarrassment at Liu Xiaoyu's mocking look.

After the morning meeting, everyone had a simple lunch in the small cafeteria, once again contributing a little to the development of Hushan Village. At 1:30, the meeting continued.

Huo Qianli certainly had no objection to this intense and fulfilling work attitude.

I just hope Secretary Zheng can last a little longer.

The morning meeting discussed the general direction, while the afternoon meeting focused on the specific details of the relocation work.

"Oops! I'm sorry! I'm late!"

At half past two, as everyone was talking, the door of the conference room was pushed open.

An old man with a bald head walked in, greeted Zheng Qiang with a smile, picked an empty seat and sat down, and said with a smile: "You continue."

When passing behind Huo Qianli, he could actually smell the scent of alcohol.

Seeing this unscrupulous look, Huo Qianli turned his head and looked at Wang Anquan who was sitting on his left inquiringly.

Wang Anquan whispered, "A deputy mayor of Shangu Town is about to retire."
