Chapter 21 Everyone is looking forward to the return

Around ten o'clock the next morning, Huo Qianli and Gu Haitao walked out of Wenxing Pharmaceutical's office building.

Huo Qianli turned around and stood still, looking at the beautiful woman beside him who was as gentle as jade, and said with a smile: "Boss Xia, there's no need to see me off."

Xia Wanqing also stopped in front of the building and extended her hand, "Happy cooperation."

Huo Qianli smiled and nodded, "It's a pleasure to work with you."

Gu Haitao also plucked up the courage to wave his hand, "Goodbye, Fairy Sister!"

Xia Wanqing covered her mouth and smiled, full of charm.

On the way to the station, Gu Haitao asked curiously, "Brother Qianli, what do you think will happen to that director last night?"

Huo Qianli tapped his knee, "It's hard to say. If his ability is outstanding and he admits his mistakes well, he may have a chance to redeem himself with meritorious service. If his ability is average, he will be kicked out. Of course, if Mr. Xia is a person who can't tolerate any injustice, then no matter how capable he is, it will be useless."

Gu Haitao sighed with emotion: "It was so cool last night. The person who was so arrogant on the phone came in and knelt down to the Fairy Sister."

"You will suffer the consequences if you bring trouble upon yourself." Huo Qianli sighed, patting the briefcase lying across his legs. "That incident has little to do with us. This is something we should be happy about."

"That's right! Brother Qianli is awesome!" As a qualified supporting actor, Gu Haitao immediately gave a thumbs up, "I think everyone will jump for joy when they hear this news."

Huo Qianli also smiled happily, and leaned back on the bus seat with a sense of relief. "Now that we have solved the problem of sales, we have nothing to worry about. We can go all out!"

As he said this, he excitedly put his arm around Gu Haitao's shoulders and said, "Want to eat something? You won't have the chance to eat it when you go back, okay?"

Gu Haitao's face fell, "What are you eating? You're going to vomit anyway."

When they arrived at the station, Gu Haitao took the ticket Huo Qianli had bought and looked at it. "Brother Qianli, isn't there a direct train to Qianfu Town? Why do you have to buy it all the way to Dongjiang County?"

Huo Qianli smiled mysteriously, "We still have some things to do in the county."

......

Hushan Village, Group 3, the third day after Huo Qianli took Gu Haitao to Jincheng.

A few stone slabs scattered under a bamboo forest are where several families nearby often squat together to eat breakfast and chat.

Two old farmers were sitting on one of the blocks, slowly twisting a tangle of tobacco from their pipes, pressing it into the pipes, then lighting the flints and taking a delicious puff.

The long hoe was leaning against his side, and the wind seemed to slow down at that moment.

"The college students went to the provincial capital, did you know that?"

"Yes."

"Do you think it can be done?"

"Do you really believe it?" The old man blew away the burnt tobacco, slowly twisted a strand from his pipe, and said, "I'm just giving face to Gu Chengrong and Da Qiangwa. I believe they won't harm us. As for making money from this, I advise you to give up on it."

"Yeah, that's right. I just couldn't get over it, so the doll in the house insisted on calling me to get my approval."

"College students are assigned by the government. There's nothing we can do about it. Why should other big shots in the provincial capital help us? Instead of dreaming about that, it's better to dig a few more hoes while you're still alive."

Nod, silence, smoke.

"But, to be honest, if it works, then when we old guys really run into trouble, we won't have to drink pesticides like Zhan Anquan and die on the road."

The hand lighting the cigarette paused, the flame flickered, and the wind blew away the sigh.

After two more strokes, the two men stood up with their hoes, looked at a middle-aged couple passing by, and said with a smile, "Tie Niu's wife, why are you following me to the fields today?"

The tall middle-aged woman smiled and said, "We are going to hand over the land to the village. Let's go and check the condition of the soil."

Walking towards the field, Zhan's mother whispered to her husband, "Why hasn't Officer Huo come back yet? It's been three days."

Zhan Baozhuang didn't even raise his head, "Can't other people take two more days to get things done? Do you think it's so easy to go to the provincial capital to discuss things?"

With a worried look on his face, he asked, "Is there going to be any unexpected events?"

"What a jinx!" Zhan Baozhuang glared at her.

"Puh, puh, puh!" Mother Zhan quickly spat three times towards the south and said cautiously, "What if, I mean what if, should we change our minds?"

Zhan Baozhuang's face was stern. "I agree, I agree. I am a grown man and my words are final. Why should I change it?"

Mother Zhan muttered in a low voice: "Someone said before that they would never agree to it even if they died!"

Zhan Baozhuang's face flushed with an imperceptible blush, and his voice unconsciously rose, "I... that was... that was because I didn't understand the policy clearly!"

"whispering sound!"

Mother Zhan ignored him and started to get busy.

Zhan Baozhuang leaned on his hoe and looked in the direction of the village committee and was silent for a long time.

Then he spat into his palms twice and swung the hoe.

The hoe was slowly retracted, and the white arm holding the hoe was covered with fine beads of sweat.

Jiang Qingyue gently wiped the sweat off his shoulders, looked at the sky, put away the hoe, took out the sickle from the backpack, and began to harvest grass for pigs.

Twenty minutes later, she slowly walked back home carrying a full basket and a hoe.

As she was about to turn into the yard, she looked at the corner of the village road ahead and inexplicably remembered the back of the man in a white shirt who turned around and waved at her.

I don't know how he handled the matter.

Those things that were not his responsibility were now all placed on his shoulders.

“It will definitely work!”

Jiang Qingyue said firmly in a low voice.

"Mom! I'm back!"

Turning and walking into the yard, Jiang Qingyue greeted her mother who was taking a breath under the eaves.
