In January 2014, it was colder indoors than outdoors in Qianfu Town.
It’s not that Huo Qianli was reluctant to turn on the air conditioner, but Mr. Cai waved his hand and said that he was not used to that thing. Hot summer and cold winter, the changing of four seasons, this is the law of nature, why bother with it!
Huo Qianli did not force him. He first gave a parent-child study base project planning book to Mr. Cai to read, and then arranged the wine and food. He accompanied Mr. Cai, who had a good appetite, to eat the hot dishes one by one, turning them into cold dishes.
Half an hour later, they each drank two taels of white wine. Mr. Cai held the wine glass, raised his eyelids slightly, and sneered, "Why are you talking to me about this?"
Just now, Huo Qianli actually stated all the conditions and requirements that Mr. Yang had put forward today.
After hearing what Mr. Cai said, Huo Qianli rolled his eyes in his heart. You didn't stop me when I was talking just now, but you had to wait until I finished speaking before saying this. Aren't you being ungrateful?
But who can afford to offend him... Huo Qianli could only laugh and said, "I heard from Mr. Cai that Mr. Cai has rich experience and profound thinking. Isn't this because I hope Mr. Cai can help me with some advice?"
President Cai chuckled, picked up the cup and drank it in one sip, "Aren't you afraid that I will give you advice and then..."
He was only halfway through his words when he suddenly froze.
The adviser he wanted to tease ended up getting himself implicated, and this was exactly what the person opposite him was thinking!
He looked at Huo Qianli who was trying to hold back his laughter and pretending to pour him wine as if nothing had happened. He was not angry and smiled again and said, "You are really calculating."
Huo Qianli put down the wine bottle, his expression suddenly changed, he raised the wine glass with both hands, and said solemnly, "Please give me some advice, Mr. Cai."
After saying that, he tilted his head back, drank it all in one gulp, and then revealed the bottom of the cup.
Mr. Cai did not answer directly. He took a cigarette from the box on the table, lit it silently, and took a few puffs in deep thought. "Do you know why I came to your place?"
Huo Qianli thought for a moment and said, "Maybe Mr. Cai went back and mentioned my situation to the old man?"
"That's right." Old Master Cai hummed, "He just showed it to me as something of interest, and also wanted to show off to me, but I had some ulterior motives and planned to come and take a look."
He tapped his cigarette gently on the ashtray to knock off some of the burnt gray ashes, and said with a smile: "My Tongda Group also has cultural and tourism industries, and is indeed looking for some suitable projects now."
They are all smart people, and Mr. Cai no longer hides anything, nor does he do anything that would be a shame to hide the truth.
Huo Qianli nodded slowly, "And because you knew that Mr. Yang was coming, you came here today?"
"If you keep talking like that I'm really leaving!"
Mr. Cai rolled his eyes and said, "The reason I'm willing to come here is actually because your plan is really good."
Huo Qianli naturally waved his hand and was about to say a few humble words, but suddenly he saw some emotion on the old man's face, as if he had something to say, so he tactfully did not interrupt.
Mr. Cai continued, "We are indeed a little behind the eastern coastal areas. To be honest, the officials there are much better than us in terms of their ideas and actions. Rural tourism is not a rare thing there. We have it here too, but in the eyes of many local governments here, rural tourism is just farmhouses, folk customs, and rural amusement parks. These people have no corresponding understanding of rural tourism, and they don't know what is the overall industrial layout, industrial segmentation, and industrial linkage, but you have all of these."
He patted the project plan at hand and said, "It not only has an industrial foundation, but also an overall layout linkage, and detailed calculations. This is rare."
He stretched out his finger, dipped it in a little wine, drew a circle on the table, and tapped hard on the center of the circle. "As for the rest, I think before we do something, we must figure out one thing, which is why we do it. Once we figure out this question, many things can be easily solved."
"I have talked to many local governments, and the officials always say that the scale of our plan is so large, the investment is so huge, and there will be a lot of tourists and a lot of money in the future! I want to leave when I hear that. This is obviously why they don't understand why they are developing rural tourism! Just set up an entire ancient town and find a few people selling stinky tofu, dried radish, and grilled fish, and it's a tourism project? This is a death sentence before it's even born!"
Huo Qianli did not interrupt, but silently picked up the cup and clinked it with that of Mr. Cai who was speaking a little excitedly.
Mr. Cai took a sip of the wine in the glass and put out the cigarette. He suddenly felt empty in his hands, so he stretched out his hand and pinched a few peanuts. He threw one into his mouth and chewed it, and continued: "Once this goal is not clear, it will lead to unclear positioning of the entire project. Unclear positioning will cause a disconnect between agriculture and tourism. Rural tourism is tourism rooted in the countryside. It is not a random tourism project that can be called rural tourism. It must be combined with the local agriculture, farmers, and ecological environment. That is called rural tourism."
Huo Qianli then added thoughtfully: "The goal is not clear, the positioning is not clear, and we don't know why we develop rural tourism. There is a lack of effective interaction between industries, industries and villages, industries and people, and even industries and urban and rural areas, forming industrial islands. This project is just moving a tourist attraction in the city to the countryside, and it does not combine the characteristics of the countryside."
Old Master Cai nodded and continued, "The consequences of doing this are clear. I can play with these things in the city, so why should I come all the way to your village? This leads to another question."
