Chapter 94: Remarks on the Release

Yes, you read that right, this book is going to be on the shelves.

It's very sudden, right? I think it's very sudden too.

Generally speaking, it is normal to put about 200,000 items on the shelves.

But because I started from scratch using a completely new pen name, I only tried it out when it was around 170,000 or 180,000 words.

The editor discussed with me and decided to get a few more recommendations first to increase the collection and popularity before considering putting the product on the shelves.

When we fail to advance, we can talk about putting it on the shelves.

Having said that, dear readers should understand that there is a high probability of failure in promotion.

This week's recommendations are better than last week's, but surprisingly, the data growth is a bit behind and the follow-up increase has also slowed down.

After thinking about it carefully, maybe it’s the subject matter.

Hidden among a bunch of rebirth cheats, perhaps there is really nothing to make people want to click on it.

Fortunately, by choosing this subject, these things were anticipated.

But what makes me happy and even touched is that I still have so many supportive book friends.

It’s not because of the accumulation of previous works, nor because of personal fame, but simply because I like this book, like this story, and like this subject matter, so I am willing to read along, comment, vote and even reward.

This is something that really touched me, so when the editor asked me whether I needed to increase the length to 200,000 words, I refused outright.

Once you’ve written it, it’s written. Once you’ve sent it, it’s sent. There’s no need to collect money again.

At the same time, explain the pen name.

I believe that my dear readers have all noticed that this book is more or less intended to be adapted into film and television works. Of course, whether it will be successful or not is another matter.

So based on this, the original pen name is indeed somewhat inappropriate.

The main theme does not allow selling movies...

Now let’s talk about the book itself. There are a few points I need to explain to the readers.

First of all, the plots in officialdom cannot be written too deeply. At the same time, the grasp of the scale and the shaping of officials need to be more cautious. Those who understand the current environment will understand.

If someone says:

"Oh, you are so shallow! You don't understand officialdom at all!"

"What you wrote is just shit. The officials I know are not like that at all."

"What the hell is this? How can an official like this behave like this?"

I can only say that you are right and what you said is true.

Secondly, the tone of the whole book is relatively glorious and positive.

To be honest, I don’t think there is anything wrong with being great, glorious and correct. What is problematic is being great, glorious and correct without reason or flesh and blood.

In reality, our country has never lacked such great and glorious figures, and it is precisely because of such people that we can have the life we have today.

As the saying goes, the Chinese are always well protected by the bravest among us.

They are willing to make sacrifices and be content with poverty, just for the beliefs in their hearts and the pursuit of life. We don't have to live the same life as them, but we should pay them the highest respect.

This is also my original intention for writing this book.

This is not empty talk. In fact, the practices and ideas of the protagonist in the book all come from real cases.

Really, they are all well-documented and real.

I simply put these cases from different backgrounds, different places and different times into a plot framework, rearranged them and added some details and artistry.

The concentrated transfer of land, large-scale cultivation of medicinal materials, the ideological interaction practice among universities, branches and farmers, and other contents to be developed in the future all reflect reality.

(To be honest, this is also the reason why I dare to write this book. Otherwise, online writers would not dare to touch this kind of content. If they are not careful, they will step on landmines.)

The vivid and specific people behind each case are more worthy of admiration than the seemingly omnipotent protagonist in the book.

Finally, it’s about the results.

Although the data is not good at all, my motivation to write is stronger than ever before.

Because this book not only contains personal realizations, but also carries my personal exploration and record of the tremendous changes in rural areas over the past decade.

Even though we all know that their development will get better in the future, we still want to see how they get better step by step, and how each policy is slowly transformed into real reality through the hands of layers of government.

Not only you guys have put yourself in the situation, I have put myself in the situation as well.

I was of course overjoyed and happy that my grades had improved, after all, I wasn't doing it purely for love.

But even if the results are worse, I am willing to finish this book, just to seek peace of mind in my writing career.

Okay, I've been talking nonsense for a long time, just one point:

Important things should be said three times.
