Let's chat about a single chapter

My writing state is really not very good, so I might as well write a single chapter and chat with you all.

Originally, after the first volume was finished, there should have been a single chapter at the end of the volume, but I was too busy updating at the time and didn’t have time, so I’m making up for it now.

After finishing the first volume (including free and shelf chapters) of more than 500,000 words, Huo Qianli left Hushan Village.

This departure was sudden, hasty and full of regrets, but this is real life.

Just like the sudden changes in our lives, following the steps and having everything go according to plan is actually an extremely luxurious happiness.

It's like looking at the data when a book is just put on the shelves and feels that there seems to be nothing wrong with it. However, the average subscription only increased by more than 200 words after it was put on the shelves, which is full of regrets.

The current average subscription is hovering around 900, not even breaking 1,000. I’m almost embarrassed to say it out loud.

I used to open the backstage from time to time to take a look, but these days I have no desire to do so. Fortunately, my passion for writing has not diminished.

First, it has become a habit over the years;

Second, when writing this topic, I was actually prepared for the subscription data to not be so good.

Having said that, I must express my sincere gratitude to the readers who have always supported this book.

Occasionally I open the backstage, look at everyone's votes and comments, and look at those IDs that have become familiar, and I always feel warm in my heart.

Well, even if people tease me in the group that I update once a day, it is also a form of support, right?

These supports and encouragements are sufficient motivation to continue to polish this book.

Next, let’s talk about the plot.

We're not writing some grand epic, but the time span in the book is still quite large.

To put it simply, it is written in accordance with the context of our social development.

From the previous coordinated urban and rural development and new rural construction, to the subsequent high-pressure anti-corruption, and then to the poverty alleviation and rural revitalization some time later.

These concrete memories that we share are a review and analysis of the earth-shaking changes that are taking place in rural areas today.

This is reflected in the characters in the book, and the changes in their lives all come from this, with the wheel of fate being pushed forward by the hand of the times.

Let me say this in advance, the second volume cannot be written in depth for well-known reasons, so the overall pace will be faster. Now the plot is almost halfway through, with a length of about 100,000 words.

The third volume will be relatively easier to write because it is farther away from the small dark room.

I hope everyone will like the plot when the time comes.

Finally, a word about updates.

From the end of last month to now, so many things have happened suddenly.

Various emergencies occurred, including running to three hospitals in one night, and even serving as a best man, which was a severe test in terms of physical strength and energy.

(Especially the bridesmaids who haven’t looked good yet, which makes it even more exhausting.)

After all, he is no longer the 18-year-old boy who doesn’t know tiredness and has plenty of energy to waste.

The most real pain is looking at your hairline anxiously every morning.

As we all know, writing is something that requires a lot of thinking. It is not like eating melon seeds. If you haven’t finished eating them now, you can go out to do something and then come back to continue eating them. It won’t have any impact at all.

When writing is interrupted, I don’t know how long it will take to get my thoughts back.

It has been quite painful to update recently, and the most obvious reaction is that the number of words has decreased.

In the middle of last month, I took a look and felt that there would be no problem with 200,000 words for the whole month, but the final word count was only 18.5, which was 15,000 short of the minimum of 200,000 words.

Although there are still more than 6,000 points on average every day, it did not meet the promise.

So I didn’t feel like asking for votes at the beginning of the month.

There are many things to do these two days due to the holidays. We estimate that we can only guarantee a minimum of 4,000 updates. Please understand and allow us two more days.

Once I get back to work, the situation will be better and I will have more time to write.

Although we always get slapped in the face for raising the flag, we still raise the flag this month:

The minimum number of words is 200,000, plus the 15,000 words that were not completed last month, so the final minimum number of words updated is 215,000.

It's late at night and everyone is asleep, so just say what you need to say so as not to waste any more time.

Enjoy your last day of vacation.

Also, Happy Youth Day!
