The bottles had been warmed up on the stove, and after cleaning up the little ones' diapers and poop, a bottle was stuffed into each of them before they could howl.
The yard was still peaceful.
A felt was spread under the apricot tree, with a bed sheet sewn on top. The adults sat under the eaves eating steamed buns and drinking porridge, while the three children rolled around on the felt.
After eating, Li Qingmei didn't clean the stove. She wiped her mouth and went back to work on the sewing machine.
"Little sister, take a rest. I'll do it." Huang Duoer didn't even have time to swallow the last bite of steamed bun. She started to grab the food and refused to let Qiu Yuling clean up.
Qiu Yuling readily accepted the advice, let go of her nephews, and went to cultivate relationships with them.
"Mom, I'm going out with a fortune." Li Qingmei had brought two local dogs with her when she arrived that morning. After her sister-in-law had packed everything, she said goodbye and prepared to leave.
Qiu Yuling said she was sending the child to her friend's house here, and they happened to be in need of a security guard.
Now it was time to send the cat off. Li Qingmei felt reluctant to leave. Cats and dogs are the most annoying. She wanted to go out and stop them from sending the cat off several times, but then she thought of the incident on the riverbank in Qiu Village and swallowed her reluctance back.
After Qiu Yuling took the dog out, she became absent-minded even when doing her work.
I almost stepped on the seam several times and felt very annoyed.
Qiu Yuling took the two dogs and jogged all the way. They ran as far as they could, but as they ran, the two dogs disappeared from sight.
She sighed and returned to the alley with a dejected look.
"Sent them away? But they are a good family? They won't eat our dog, right?" Li Qingmei still had a glimmer of hope, thinking that her daughter would be reluctant to let go and would change her mind at the last minute and bring Wan Jin and his daughter back.
But he stretched his neck to look left and right, but didn't see the dog following him, and he became anxious.
"Well, we are from a good family, so we definitely can't eat them. Mom, I'm going back to the house to lie down for a while. It's almost time for dinner, so you can call me to cook."
Qiu Yuling tried hard to suppress her sorrow, fearing that it would be exposed.
Li Qingmei didn't stop him, as she felt empty and uncomfortable in her heart.
The mother and daughter returned to their respective positions. Huang Duoer finally realized, "Wanjin was sent away?"
The three little beans seemed to know what was going on, and they fired three shots at once, and then all of them howled in unison.
The mother and daughter, who were about to return to the camp, turned back one after another. The three adults each took care of a younger child.
With this interruption, I no longer cared about the sadness of separation, and it was quietly suppressed deep in my heart.
Qiu Yuling sighed softly. Even though she knew that they had just moved the two dogs to a new home, she still felt a little uncomfortable. What's more, Qiu's mother and the others really thought that they had given the dogs away.
If you are not a cruel person, it would be strange if you feel good.
The lunch was just a quick bite. I made a pot of dumpling soup, chopped a small plate of chili peppers, sprinkled some salt, poured some vinegar, tossing it all together, and it was a dish.
After dinner, while the three brothers were taking a nap, Qiu Yuling accompanied her eldest sister-in-law to visit the supply and marketing cooperative.
Huang Duoer had only visited the county supply and marketing cooperative once, and that was before she gave birth. This was her second time, and everything she saw was still new to her.
Qiu Yuling was just accompanying the guests. Although she had no demands, she was patient.
She went through the prices of various items and had a rough idea of what they were.
This good habit of keeping accounts was established by Qiu's mother. Although she would pick things up a bit, she would record everything in the account book according to the current prices.
A box of matches costs two cents; Black brand soap, which comes in 300-gram boxes, costs fifty cents; and Jinju brand soap costs fifty-three cents each, which is a little lower than last year, probably due to the improvement of production technology and the increase in output.
A 250-gram bag of laundry detergent costs only 40 cents; an enamel washbasin with a diameter of 34 centimeters costs 2.89 yuan.
The price of Zhukeer's thermos also dropped from 2.75 yuan to 2.49 yuan, which shows that productivity is gradually increasing.
The iron-shelled kettle is quite expensive, costing more than six yuan and fifty cents each.
Huang Duoer asked for a pair of women's rubber shoes and paid six yuan and twenty-seven cents in addition to the ticket.
There was also a pair of women's leather shoes with a cowhide upper, buffalo leather soles, and a low waist. They were out of season and only cost 19.80 yuan. Qiu Yuling persuaded her to take them, and Huang Duoer shook her head like a rattle.
I can’t bear to!
Qiu Yuling felt like she couldn't just sit there and watch, so she picked out an iridium fountain pen for herself and spent two dollars and sixty-seven cents.
Huang Duoer was amazed in her heart, but she said nothing. It was not because she thought it was too expensive, but because she felt that the people in her husband's family were very generous when it came to the children's education.
The house had cloth and thread, so there wasn't much to spend. The aunt and sister-in-law looked at the colorful world for a while, and when they thought the children would soon wake up, they took their trophies and walked back, talking and laughing.
"Are you back? Why didn't you buy anything?" Before entering the door, I heard the commotion inside. The three little ones had indeed woken up and were teasing their grandmother on the felt.
When Qiu's mother asked, Huang Duoer put on the rubber shoes and showed them off. Qiu Yuling also took out a pen and asked her to look at it.
Li Qingmei didn't say anything. She asked the two of them to look after the baby for a while. There was only one trouser hem left. She would go and trample it, and then go back to the village early tomorrow.
There is a little kid here, she doesn't want to walk at night, or go back at night, she can do that.
Huang Duoer hadn't started weaning the babies yet. She had been out all afternoon and was feeling bloated and uncomfortable. She took the youngest one and went into the house to feed him for a while. Then she came out and took over for the second one. As for the eldest one, she had to give him a bottle.
But the boss is very talkative and he doesn't pick anything you give him, so just give it to him.
Qiu Yuling took the dough her mother had made, cut it into small pieces, and prepared two fillings, one spicy potato filling and the other spicy bean filling.
