Chapter 15: Waking Up
Dusk Cloud Galaxy
An undeveloped natural star
It was early morning and the sky was still a little dark. Mu Jiao was sleeping soundly with the little animal in her arms, covered with a thin blanket, when she suddenly heard what seemed to be shouting. At first, Mu Jiao thought she was dreaming, but when she listened carefully, it didn't seem like it.
She quickly sat up from the tent. The little animal sleeping next to her was also awakened by Mu Jiao's actions. It lay on Mu Jiao's pillow with sleepy eyes. It was obvious that the little guy was still a little confused.
Mu Jiao listened carefully and the sound sounded like it came from a garbage truck. Could it be that the two soldiers had woken up?
Mu Jiao quickly got up and put on her clothes, preparing to go to the garbage truck to check the situation. Before leaving, she gently patted the little guy who was still lying on the air pillow, coaxed it, and signaled it to continue sleeping while she went out.
The Bichon Frise was already drowsy, and Mu Jiao patted it gently a few times. In a short while, it fell asleep again, with its two dark green furry bear ears drooping down, completely blocking out any interference from the outside world.
Seeing the appearance of this little guy, Mu Jiao laughed. She really didn't know how it could survive in the wild. It could eat and sleep all day long and had no alertness at all.
Seeing that the little beast had fallen asleep again, Mu Jiao quickly opened the tent and walked towards the garbage truck.
As soon as she got in the car, Mu Jiao saw that both soldiers were awake.
However, the two were in a very bad condition at the moment, and seemed to be enduring great pain. When Mu Jiao came in, the soldier leaning against the outside of the bed had already fallen under the bed, curled up into a ball, and kept shouting words like cold and pain.
The soldier on the bed was holding his head and screaming loudly. He must have a severe headache and kept tossing and turning in bed.
This was the scene she saw upon entering. Mu Jiao was immediately at a loss. What should she do?
Mu Jiao tried to call out to the two of them, but received no response. They must have lost consciousness due to the pain.
There was no other way. In the end, Mu Jiao could only carefully cover the soldier on the ground with all the quilts and put a towel in the soldier's mouth to prevent him from biting his tongue.
Mu Jiao was busy all the time, looking at this and that, afraid that something might happen to them. After all, she had rescued them from the battlefield with great difficulty.
After about half an hour, the two men gradually stopped roaring and regained consciousness.
Both of them were covered in sweat from the pain, seemed to be exhausted, and were breathing heavily.
…
Night falls
The bonfire was lit again, two hares were placed on the grill, and three people and one beast were gathered around the fire.
Today, the two soldiers rested for a long time after falling ill. By the time they regained their strength, it was already evening.
Because she needed to take care of the two of them, Mu Jiao did not go hunting today.
Now that the two of them had rested and regained some strength, the three of them sat by the fire. Mu Jiao turned the barbecue while telling them about what had happened during this period.
Through communication, it was found that the two soldiers, one named Sandy and the other named Luke, were both members of the same mecha team, so they knew each other.
"Little girl, you said that the legion was surrounded when you took us away?" The soldier named Sandy asked Mu Jiao sadly.
"Yes, Brother Sandy, when I escaped, our army was already surrounded by the enemy." Mu Jiao replied.
After hearing Mu Jiao's confirmation again, Sandy and Luke both hung their heads in frustration.
They had actually tried to contact their superiors and the main ship many times, but there was no response. They asked Mu Jiao just to confirm again.
The two of them were injured during that blocking battle and had no knowledge of the subsequent battles.
Seeing that both of them were in a low mood, Mu Jiao handed the one she had roasted earlier to them separately.
Unexpectedly, the little guy who had been waiting nearby was unhappy, rolling and rubbing against Mu Jiao, and even calling out "嘤嘤嘤" to Mu Jiao, successfully diverting Sandy and Luke's attention to it.
Mu Jiao could only pat the little guy's head. Fortunately, the other rabbit was also fine. Mu Jiao gave it two big rabbit legs to make this guy satisfied.
Sandy and Luke felt much better because of the little guy's actions.
"Ms. Mu Jiao, is this your pet? It's so cute..." Luke asked the little guy.
"Well, I just got it and haven't named it yet. Does Brother Luke know what kind it is?"
"I'm not sure. It looks like a bear, so it should have some intelligence. It's not very lethal, so it would be a great pet."
…
The three of them sat by the fire and chatted for a while, then Sandy said she wanted to talk to Luke about something, so the two of them returned to the garbage truck.
Seeing the situation, Mu Jiao took the little beast to rest. Lying on the air mattress in the tent, Mu Jiao couldn't fall asleep.
Today she talked with two soldiers, Sandy and Luke, for a while, but she always felt a sense of distance from them. Mu Jiao thought so too, as they had just met.
But she felt something was wrong. Brother Luke was okay, but Brother Sandy always gave her a strange feeling, and he seemed to avoid the important points when speaking. Tonight, Mu Jiao had originally asked if there was any way for the two to leave?
But Sandy changed the subject, which made Mu Jiao feel a little uneasy. Although this planet was not bad, she still wanted to go back to planet G2563.
After all, the Muyun Galaxy should have fallen into the hands of the enemy. If she stays here, she might be discovered one day, and she doesn't know what will happen to her then.
Mu Jiao turned over in annoyance. The little beast beside her seemed to sense Mu Jiao's mood and rubbed its head against Mu Jiao's chin.
Mu Jiao looked at the concern emanating from the little guy's cute big eyes and hugged it in her arms.
“Oh, oh, oh…”
Twolegs, what's wrong with you? Why are you unhappy?
"Don't worry, I'm fine." Mu Jiao stroked the little guy's body and said,
"By the way, I haven't given you a name yet. What should I call you?" Mu Jiao sat up and put the little guy on her knees.
"Lulu, do you like it???"
"Boo, boo, boo"
What the hell is Green? I don’t want it.
"Then, Baibai"
"Boo, boo, boo"
"Little"
"Boo, boo, boo"
…
…
Finally, Mu Jiao thought of dozens of names and finally found one that the little guy agreed with.
"Meng Meng"
It was only after Mu Jiao's hard work and coaxing that the little guy agreed to this "mighty and domineering" name.
From then on, the cute little beast became Mu Jiao's "bear master".
After a tough battle of naming, Mu Jiao no longer had time to care about other things. She was too sleepy, so she went on a date with Zhou Gong in her arms, holding "Meng Meng".
