Chapter 52
◎Salmasis Spring◎
Upon hearing his brother's order, Riel removed his hand from his eyes: "Huh? This person is... Gani Subek?" He had covered his eyes too quickly and hadn't seen the person's face clearly.
"Is there something wrong with him?" Riel pointed to his head, incredulously. "Who would deliberately run into the arrow's path? Does he think he's the protagonist of a melodramatic novel?"
As he spoke, he seemed to realize something and suddenly hugged himself in "horror": "Could it be that he knows Osei is a fish eyeball and has discovered this hidden gem of a prince, and wants to stage a ridiculous accident to make me take responsibility?"
Regas glanced at his dramatic younger brother: "You're such a drama queen." His acting skills are on par with Lan Hua's.
Lille dismissed it: "She's a big star, she's even more dramatic than me."
How could he not know what Gani Subek was planning? She was just trying to extort his brother's attention. There were plenty of people who tried all sorts of weird ways to get his brother's attention, but this was the only one using such a brainless and ridiculous method. It was quite an eye-opener for Lil that the Subek family, known for its hypocrisy and cunning, actually had someone this stupid.
But speaking of big stars...
Lille's mind quickly flashed to Lan Ye, who was known in the entertainment industry as a beauty on par with Gani.
He had been thinking of asking about his brother's situation before he came, but Jia Ni's interruption made him forget about it. He pulled on Xiao Hong's reins, making her move closer to Da Hei, his expression gossipy: "Dear brother, lately, the rumors about you and Lan Ye have been going on and on. Are they true or false?"
He had initially wanted to gossip with his brother about the relationship between Lan Ye, Ou Sai, and Jia Ni, but in the end, he was drawn to his brother's mysterious "vixen." Unfortunately, he never managed to get the woman's identity out of his brother.
And now, his brother is having a huge scandal with Lan Ye. The key point is, that signed letter was really written by his brother! And the gates of the Pelles Palace really did open for Lan Ye! Therefore, this is definitely not just Lan Ye creating hype on his own.
But his brother is definitely not a fickle person. It's impossible that if he had that "vixen" in his heart, he would let the rumors about him and Lan Ye spread everywhere.
so--
In a flash, an unbelievable but coherent guess crossed Lil's mind: this vixen and Lan Ye were the same person!
But there was still one thing that Lil couldn't understand: his brother had said he couldn't beat that "vixen," and if the two were the same person, then Lan Ye's fighting ability... He recalled everything about Lan Ye and simply couldn't imagine that this delicate vase could be such a formidable person that even he couldn't defeat...
Unable to understand, Lil directly asked his brother, "Brother, could Lan Ye be that 'vixen'?"
Regas did not deny it: "Yes, I like him."
Lille cracked—
His brother has someone he likes—his ex-sister-in-law. His current sister-in-law has a crush on him and is planning to stage an accident to seduce him before their wedding… Tsk, this social circle is really messy. Um, he seems to be in this circle too…

As Ossa watched Gani being carried back by the Crown Prince's guards, and recalling the events and events the guards had told him, his face turned ashen with rage. It was as if he had been slapped in the face.
Regardless, from the outside perspective, he and Jia Ni were in love and each other's first love. He even publicly called off the engagement to prevent Jia Ni from being wronged.
Now, his so-called first love, his white moonlight, has gone to the royal hunting grounds to do something so foolish that it's no longer even written in novels. Both sides know the purpose perfectly well: Jia Ni wants to attract the Crown Prince's attention. To put it bluntly, she wants to seduce the Crown Prince.
The fact that the Crown Prince sent Gani to him instead of the Subec family, for whatever reason, made Oseriko lose face.
He knew that Jia Ni liked the Crown Prince, but he never expected that she would do something so brainless at this critical juncture! If this matter were to spread, not to mention the impact on the wedding and the plans behind it, the ridicule and mockery from everyone towards him, the Subec family, and Jia Ni herself would be enough to make them lose face!
Gani was bound hand and foot and dragged to Osei's palace by the Crown Prince's guards. Despite his struggles, no one there respected the Subek family; they only obeyed the Crown Prince's orders. Gani first cursed and then pleaded, but it was all in vain.
Osei had the prince's guards sent away, and after having Gani untied, he waved away the servants: "You may all leave."
Under the control of the Crown Prince's guards, Gani was forced to behave, but now those guards who wouldn't listen to him were gone. Now only Ouse and he remained in the room. And he had always held Ouse in a superior position, so even though he was still shaken, he reverted to his old ways: "Take me home!"
There was absolutely no intention to explain his previous actions.
Osei did have some genuine feelings for Gani back then, because Gani was truly beautiful and reserved and elegant. Even her slight air of arrogance added to her vibrancy. After all, she was the most beloved young master of a noble family, and it would be strange if she didn't have any personality.
Now, Gani has completely dropped her pretense in front of him, revealing all her arrogance and foolishness without any attempt to conceal them.
"Aren't you going to explain?" Osei sneered.
Now that the Subek family is tied to him, whether Gani is willing or not is irrelevant. His actions have also made Ose lose patience, especially this incident, which caused him to lose face in front of Regas.
"What's it to you?" Gani snorted. He was now filled with resentment towards his father, brothers, and Osei. They were all trying to force him to marry Osei, completely disregarding his wishes.
“We’re getting married soon, and you went to seduce my royal brother but failed and ended up here with me. What does that have to do with me?” Osei laughed angrily.
"I don't want to marry you anymore!" Gani stood up, raised her chin, and said, "I want to pursue true happiness."
Osei was speechless. He really suspected that Gani had been possessed. She used to be at least a normal person, but now it felt like she had thrown away her brain.
If he didn't still need Jia Ni as a tool to complete the wedding, he wouldn't even bother with him. Trying to reason with someone who has no brains is pointless; he himself would be brainless too.
Osei didn't want to say anything more to him. He planned to send Gani back to the Subec family directly, and the Subec family would naturally keep a close eye on him.
"Tsk, what a dishonest little fellow." Just as Osei was about to ask the guards to send him back, Serloe's voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
"Didn't you say you were just using my body?" Ose's expression changed when he heard Celoe's voice. If it weren't for the voice just now, he would have almost forgotten that this ancestor was still inside him, because after Celoe disappeared, he didn't feel anything unusual at all.
"Shh, don't rush," Séloë chuckled. "I'm here to help you solve your troubles, since we're currently aligned on the same goal."
"What trouble? I plan to send him back to the Subec family to keep an eye on; after all, he's still useful." Oser actually knew what Celoé was referring to, but he wasn't sure what Celoé wanted to do to Gani. Right now, he had no patience for Gani, but he hadn't reached the point of wanting to do anything to him. His ancestor was far more perverted than recorded in history books.
“Even if we send him back to be looked after, can you guarantee he’ll behave himself and prepare for the wedding without causing any more trouble? Or that he’ll cause an accident on the wedding day?” Celoé countered.
Osei: "..." He was indeed unsure. Because given Gani's current state, it wouldn't be surprising if he did something outrageous again.
"So how do you want to solve this?" Ose asked.
"Just watch."
As soon as Selloe finished speaking, Osei felt as if he had lost control of his body. He could still hear and see, and his consciousness was still intact, but he no longer had control of his body. "What did you do to me?" The loss of control terrified Osei.
“I only need to borrow your body temporarily; I’ll return it to you soon,” Selo said indifferently. He had no interest in Ose’s body at the moment, and if it weren’t for the possibility that Gani Subek might become a variable in the wedding, he wouldn’t bother with the junior’s trivial matters.
Gani, of course, couldn't hear Osei's internal monologue. However, he could sense that Osei's aura had suddenly become chilling. When Osei looked at him again, Gani felt as if he were being stared at by a snake.
"What do you want to do?" Gani suddenly tensed up. "If you do anything to me, my father and brothers will not let you get away with it!"
“Don’t be afraid, little guy.” “Osei” approached Gani and pinched his chin.
Gani was forced to meet "Osei's" gaze. He had never seen Osei with such eyes before—deep, cold, and sinister, seemingly capable of sucking one's soul into them. Gani wanted to say something more, but he felt his consciousness fading...
"You like Regas, don't you?" "Ose's" words seemed to have a magical power, making it impossible to refuse.
Gani's eyes gradually became vacant, and he nodded with a dazed smile on his face: "Yes, I love him."
"Ose" tempted, "Do you want to be with him forever, never to be apart?"
Gani smiled dreamily and said, "Yes, I want to be with him forever."
"Osei" smiled gently: "Good child, I will grant your wish."
Oser watched as Cerroie used his body to bewitch the already delirious Gani, leading her through a secret passage he didn't even know about into an underground palace.
At the center of the underground palace was a huge pool, and in the center of the pool was a white statue. This statue was nine-tenths like Regas, lifelike, the one-tenth difference being more due to its more feminine temperament.
Oser recognized it immediately; the statue should be Serloe, not Regas. But Gani couldn't tell; he only knew it was Regas.
“Go,” “Ose” whispered softly in Gani’s ear. “Go over there, hug him, and you will never be separated from him again.”
Gani nodded, stepped over the white edge of the pool, and waded through the water towards the sculpture.
"What is this?" Ose felt that something was wrong with both the pool and the sculpture.
“Have you heard the legends of the water nymphs Salmassis and Hermaphrodites? The water in this pool is the water of Salmassis,” Seloë said calmly, looking at Gani in the pool.
